I respect your opinion, but my opinion differs for one major reason: I'm a SUCKER for Jazz. So P5 is my absolute favorite. I will say I prefer Wake Up Get Up Get Out There more than Flying Colors due to the fact my two favorite P5 songs are continuations of the original intro; Life Will Change and I Believe. The way the OST all fits together without a single song being out of place and how it's literally all jazz means I'm unapologetically bias of P5. (Though P4 Dancing was way better than P3 and P5)

If I ever did this I will include the spin-offs and the ones you didn't put on this list so in total there are 20 Persona intros throughout the Persona series
I like PS1 intros mainly how simple and sets the tone. Also I'd put P3P never cares for the intro. Hell yes Dream of a Butterfly. Also both P1 intros show Maki as important
P4g intro fits a slice of life anime better than p4 tbh. Pursuing my true self is the god given amazing intro that fits p4 perfectly. Especially the opening beats it resembles a TV incredibly well. Gives me the feeling that I am living in a tv show which is exactly what I wanted to feel
I prefer og p4 over golden just because i feel like some of the things they added, like the junes concert event, take away from ghe small isolated town vibe that the game was going for. I really wish they chose to remaster the original p4 but add on goldens shuffle time mechanic, then we'd have the peak persona 4 experience
I agree with most part of this. Except I think Unbreakable Tie is the number one. No other opening represents the game better, shows enough or has the hype rhythm as P2 IS port op does. P1 port op is my 2nd one tho
1:43 don't worry about it, they are just telling you you're going to die in multiple languages Edit : just remembered in original persona 3 they also tell you you're going to die in different languages too
im so pleased to see number 1! its such an underrated game, but slightly held back by old jrpg mechanics....a remake would be amazing. what better time to announce one than the anniversary? i can dream...
I'm playing through P3 FES right now, and the intro song is *such* a banger that it makes it all the sadder it quickly transitions to in-game cutscenes. I do have a soft-spot for that one scene of Elizabeth going awkwardly down the slide, though - I just reached that part of the game and it was so exciting. I really hate how the intro cutscenes spoil important characters though (would prefer if characters after the first four only showed in silhouette flashes, like Smash 64's intro), and FES is an especially bad case. But I can't help but like it more than the original P3 intro, which just feels distracting with all the lorem ipsum text in the background and how slow it takes for the song to get going. This was in contrast to my experience playing P5R and P4G, where as soon as I saw the base games' intros (which are easily accessed via the in-game extras) I knew the originals were far superior (though P4G's intro's intro is absolutely stellar and I'm glad you pointed it out).

I'm surprise you din't put the PSP opening for Persona 2 Enternal Punishment and the Ps1 opening for Innocent Sin because the PSP opening for Enternal Punishment is different from the Ps1 version just like the Innocent Sin Ps1 opening is different from the PSP version. Also you said you only did the mainline Persona games and not the spin-offs when there are spin-offs the are canon to the mainline Persona games like Persona 4 Arena/Ultimax and Persona 4 Dancing being canon to Persona 4/Golden and Persona 5 Scramble/Strikers is canon to the original Persona 5. If I ever did this I will include the spin-offs and the ones you didn't put on this list so in total there are 20 Persona intros throughout the Persona series
Not a super big fan of Dream of Butterfly as a song, but visually, it’s fantastic
I felt the same way about the opening to the Persona 1 Re-release on PSP also! Still one of my favorites! Just wish the actual game was better.
yes YES FUCK YES, FINNALY SOMEONE THAT UNDERSTANDS THE BEAUTY OF DREAM OF BUTTERFLY
i genuinely cannot see how soul phrase is worse than the fes intro in any way
Me realising he didn't talk about the persona psp remake opening when I was on the 2º place:
NO
FUCKING
*WAY*
i wanted to give you the chance before number 1 i was literally saying like "please be q dont be 1 psp please dont do this man" and yet here we are
Putting Dream of Butterfly at 1 makes up for Unbreakable Tie at 6.
I like PS1 intros mainly how simple and sets the tone. Also I'd put P3P never cares for the intro.
Hell yes Dream of a Butterfly. Also both P1 intros show Maki as important
as an og p4 fanboy (never played golden lmao) this is good
P4g intro fits a slice of life anime better than p4 tbh. Pursuing my true self is the god given amazing intro that fits p4 perfectly. Especially the opening beats it resembles a TV incredibly well. Gives me the feeling that I am living in a tv show which is exactly what I wanted to feel
Burn my dread hits
I prefer og p4 over golden just because i feel like some of the things they added, like the junes concert event, take away from ghe small isolated town vibe that the game was going for. I really wish they chose to remaster the original p4 but add on goldens shuffle time mechanic, then we'd have the peak persona 4 experience
Burn my dread! Makes sense. Always thought it was killllll myyyyyyyyy you know the rest
I agree with most part of this. Except I think Unbreakable Tie is the number one. No other opening represents the game better, shows enough or has the hype rhythm as P2 IS port op does. P1 port op is my 2nd one tho
1:43 don't worry about it, they are just telling you you're going to die in multiple languages
Edit : just remembered in original persona 3 they also tell you you're going to die in different languages too
Persona 5 Strikers should be here, it is not a spin off but a direct sequel
soul phrase tenth hurt my soul
I got really mad when I saw Soul Phase at number 10 :(
im so pleased to see number 1! its such an underrated game, but slightly held back by old jrpg mechanics....a remake would be amazing. what better time to announce one than the anniversary? i can dream...
i love persona 4 bro
9:29 i need the ost here
