Brilliant! I just got a Gamecube adapter and since I was going to go through the hassle of changing the plates I just looked through my whole Gamecube collection to resurface at once. With your adapter, you take away the hassles of having to remove and attach different plates going from mini discs to regular sized discs. Well done sir! Thanks for sharing.
Some people seem to be confused by what he did. He used TWO regular discs. Not one regular and one mini. One regular disc has a cutout the size of a mini disc in the center and then it is glued on top of the other regular disc to make a mini disc sized hole. It is level when you put a mini disc in it.
So you take a regular disc, then you cut another regular cd to the mini disc circumference(I'd just found a junk mini disc, but they're not always easy to find). Then you glue the mini cutout onto regular disc? So that's 2 layers. Then adding the GC game you're going resurface makes 3 layers. I'd think that'd cause uneven pads, but BRAVO on your functioning substitute regardless.

This is a genius idea. I might give this a try.

Dude your a freaking genius
I would think if you ran 2 or 3 GC and then 2 or 3 regular size disc.. It might help keep the pads even as possible. (in the long run.)
What did you use to cut the cd? Thanks
Dremel. He says it in video.
