The XC is certainly is a great comparison tool as you noted that many people use it to compare to other tools. The best part about the XC is its performance vs. price compared to the rest. While the others may "feel better" and have better build qualities, for the money the XC is a damn fine tool!
@@HolsterSommelier If i'm not mistaken, that Nemesis is .40cal right? I don't believe you said that in the video but the original Nemesis was .40cal and the casing ejected out looked bigger. With that in mind the guys said they felt like the atlas was flatter lol. Now, we all should know by now a comp'd gun shooting 9's vs a noncomp'd gun shooting 40's... will and should be "flatter" hah.
Yes, Rocky does really cool stuff on the custom side --- wait til you see some of the others he has done for me. You can reach out to him at purekustom.com -- I'd call him after you look around on the website. But, be warned the 3D stuff is not cheap!
Hey @Mdsub101 you are correct. My Nemesis is a special edition from Atlas where they made 15 of them with an optic. That said, if you know a good gunsmith or machine shiop that works on slides/guns, they can cut it for an optic. Good luck and thanks for the question/comment.
@@HolsterSommelier I'm shooting limited optics, right now using a 320 Sig x-five legion. I'd love to get my hands on an optics ready Nemesis, you're incredibly lucky!
Hey @pistolpete8031 you are correct, the MantisX recoilmeter confirm that. That said, it is very close and while the Atlas has a nicer overall feel and fit and finish are better, you can not find a better 2011 for the money than the XC
no brainer the XC has advantage its ported comp nemesis is a nice gun shoot flat but if you pu it into action XC has the advantage but it will always depend on the shooters:)
100% agree, so much is the individual shooter and what works best for them. That said, they are both great tools, turns out the XC is hard to beat in terms of what you get for the cost.
Hey @TheDuppyman they didn't! Before they started doing optic cuts in general they produced 15 Nemesis guns with the optic cut. You can tell if this is one of them because they engaged RDS on the slide. All that said, if you have a nemesis, you can find a few quality gunsmiths to do an optic cur for you.
yes, it was a Cheely E2, steel grip. I just ordered an aluminum grip from them to try as well. The steel is very heavy. You can get all the stats and models on Cheely's website -- they are not cheap -- $550+. Good Luck!
The ported gun is always going to shoot flatter. But my hands like the atlas better. Never shot a nemesis, but I have an Athena and an Erebus. I’m personally a major atlas fan but I really like what you did to that XC. Nice video.
@@HolsterSommelierMy dude, I just noticed that your literal name on youtube is “holstersommelier.” Please disregard my earlier comment. Pairing holsters with guns is literally ‘your thing.’ My comment was stupid. You keep doing you, brother.
The Staccato gets back on target so much faster.
indeed it does despite the "feeling" that the atlas does. Both are really excellent choices.
Staccato must set the standard.. Seems like all the other brands out there
always want to be compared to the Staccato ..

That holster is absolutely absurd…. I want one!

Same, but with a Cossack instead of a crusader.
I’m totally with you guys. I have several Atlas pistols and had an XC with the Cheely grip. XC is a fantastic gun but Atlas is just a bit better.
Thanks @bradpowell843! Atlas just has a "nicer" feel to it, which it should for the extra $2k on price.
Damn! Love that custom holster!
Me too!
Looking on the Atlas website the Nemesis doesn't appear to be optic ready

I didn't know that the US Air Force now makes guns now!
lulz @chltmdwp, I've always liked the deisgn on the flying tigers.
I love the atlas but the XC looked like it recoiled less and was on target faster.

Where did you get the nice paint job on the xc?
Gunfighter tactical -- they do good work. That said, there are several very good cerakote depending on where you live.
Any duty holster recommendations for the STI Apeiro?
Yes, I'm clearly biased but if looking for leather then checkout PureKustom.com. If Kydex then take a look at Legacy Firearms and Tier 1 Concealed.
@@HolsterSommelier Thanks.

The XC will throw you into open class in USPSA, the Nemesis was built for limited class.
When did atlas start doing optics cuts on the nemesis?

Cheely?

Me: watching high-end pistol comparison, with a hi point sitting in my lap 😢😢
lulz!!! appreciate that @samoansojah. Nothing wrong with a hi point my friend.
What is up?
hey @samuelitomartinez what is your question? Happy to answer all.
Don’t care about the holsters
Hey @fd8282 that's fine, not everything will apply to everyone. That said, appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching.
