Yesss this is great! going to attempt right now. Same everything. ONLY thing i would have suggested was zip ties. does a great job at keeping stuff nice and tight and plastic not metal on metal. thank you for the vid!
sweet, thanx
Appreciate it.
Subscribed. I'm a Mr Jones with a Tundra as well. Lol
Great video! Going try for my rear blinker lights, cause twice I got 2 different blinker led lights and both had hyper flash. So for rear is one to black (power) and kne to white (ground)?
Thank you brotha! I couldnt figure out which wires to splice into. I have a 2008 sequoia and you can never have the turn signal off, even with the lights switched off they are always drl. So I had to figure out which wire to tap into
Sam, no problem sir, I figured this information would be useful for someone as it took me sometime/research to identify the wiring too. Many videos cover the install but no much about wiring.
Thanks
I got led tail light installed and right now I got all my light hyper flash. You think this will help current situation? Thank if you answer back.
Don't use resisters. They get very hot and you have to put one on every bulb which requires splicing. Just get a new flasher relay made for LEDs. On eBay and Amazon for $10.
What relay would I need for the tundra 2008??
You can't just replace a relay in the 07+ tundra.. unfortunately
Hey man. Love those mirrors, can you send me model info for the GM parts?? Looks deadly man!
Hey Benjamin, these GM style tow mirrors I bought off eBay, link: ebay.to/3ziBG1r
I just checked and seen that the seller no longer has the "smoked LED" lights but they do they the "Amber LED" lights, link: ebay.to/373GZG5
The mirror parts can be upgraded from Boosted Auto parts, link: boostautoparts.com/pages/tundra-parts
If you wanted to see my review of the mirrors, please feel free to check it out, link: ua-cam.com/video/0JVmos36AGk/v-deo.html
Hopefully this helps.
I am hoping they cause hyper flash on my 2007 tundra 5.7, kind of like how the hyper flash is on the emergency lights. Nice set up with those tires.
Much appreciate it Eric.
Great video. I am currently having some hyper blink issues. I'm going to give this a try. Is it still working for you?
Yes it's working absolutely fine, no issues.
Just make sure you place it wear heat won't cause any damage and somewhere it has access to air to keep it cool.
@@AWordFromMrJones hey great video I had a question I have the same situation on my 2016 tundra the hyper flash when the lights are off which is expected but when I turn on the headlights and turn on signals the stay on with no flash at all so before I try the resisters I wanted to make sure this was your situation aswell because on the video your headlights are off just on on parking you had hyper flash ..sorry I hope I make sense
@@rsolorio692 My issue occurred whenever I selected the turn indicator, I would always get the hyper flash issue but only when the LED bulbs as being used.
You issue sounds more so intermittent, similar to when a OEM halogen bulb going bad, sometimes it will hyper flash and sometimes it does not. If you are using the LED bulbs, I would defiantly recommend installing the resisters to correct the issue. Or you can turn installing LED in both the front and rear lights to see if the hyper flash goes away. I once was told my a Tundra owner that having LED in the front and rear helped him.
Does it matter what year it is
What LED bulbs you use on the Tundra?
These are LED 3157 bulbs that I had purchased from Amazon.
Will they help with the brightness also?
Hey Branden, to truly increase the visual distance lighting. I highly recommend that you upgrade to LED bulbs. There are multiple LED kits available and are well worth the money.
@@AWordFromMrJones appreciate you
Do you use the same colored wires for the rear tail lights?
Rear tails should just have red and black, or white and black I forget. Anyway its just a power and a ground wire. Doesnt matter which is which, just tap one side of the resistor into one and the other end into the other
@@samjacobs4769 yes so tap into red & tab into black/white one. I know fronts in this video is pink & white/black .
@@coachcremar6817 Yep thats correct!
@@samjacobs4769 thank you so much
6 ohm, not 60 ohm.
