Here's my perspective on this device as an owner of a game development company. Gaming on consoles and PC (including laptops) is a commitment. You need to settle down in a place, plug in and start gaming and many a times a TV or a PC is a shared device and can get hogged by others in your home. This is a barrier to many as we adults have around 2-4 hours of free time in a day and have dozens of things to do in that time. That's where handheld PC gaming devices like this prove its worth. You can play every PC and console games on the go anywhere, anytime. Devices like this lets you play more games and even more importantly, complete a lot of those games due to unmatched portability/flexibility. To top things of it's performance is significantly better than any laptop in this price range and it's basically a windows 11 device so there's more uses to this device than just gaming.
I agree with everything except the laptop performance part... If you decide to not care about the weight... I'm sure u can find laptops that outperform it easily 😁
Can just say what amazing video you help me so much I just bought one today and your video is the best mate thank you keep up the great work . Emanuel from Australia 🇦🇺
@@C4ETech 2,500 units of ROG Ally came into India. let's see how long it'll take for Asus to sell these. In comparison Steam Deck sold 5,000 units till date, exclusively via grey imports.
I have played miles morales on it which runs at 55-60 fps at medium settings with fsr at balanced. Rdr2 at medium high settings at 45 fps, gta 5 medium settings at 60 fps (higher on story mode). So basically it can run all latest games at medium settings with fps ranging from 45-60 based on the game and the availability of fsr. Of you play at 720p resolution then you'll get 60 in almost all titles at medium settings.
haha bro.. please hear me out... I've done this a lot.. after years of screwing around with storage upgrades etc... I realized... having 2-3 games installed, gets me to play more... pick and choose what you want... and just leave em installed, believe me you'll play more 😁
I would really like to own this. UK price and Indian prices are exactly the same but unlike UK people, 700 pounds is too much to digest for this product here in India :( 700 USD is a much better price in US. Bdw Ash does the Ally have a USB 4 port? So that we don't have to depend on Asus' eGPU solution. USB 4 support is critical.
@@C4ETechahhh damn! AMD mandated USB 4 on Pheonix Range APUs.. but I guess since this is technically not called Pheonix Range, so Asus could get away with it.
I think the price is justified because this, afaik, isn't manufactured in India. So it has an additional import GST (18%?) bringing it close to the price it's sold here.
