Any real aviation lover loves all planes and always finds something unique about each one that they love. I love the 380 AND the queen as well, they both have a certain something. I get tired of seeing Boeing and AB folks arguing about the two companies, the planes themselves are kind of alive and are like living entities and they both deserve your love and respect if you really love aviation and flying. There's no need to put one above the other, they are all great planes
Thanks for your great vids man, I havent flow for a while and with all these crashes... But this really shows why I love flying. Thanks again and keep on making great vids :D
Nice Video what did you use to get such a close up? And on a clear day near my house about 20 miles away i can see planes flying from Dublin . I can see what they are on Flight Radar. I guess looking at the the 747 it is flying around 38-39 thousand feet were you guys flying at 36 37?
A BA 747 overtook us when we were flying over the Atlantic to Toronto on an Air Canada Rouge 767. I will forever remember it as one of the most graceful sights I have ever seen.
Creative Daniel. Who’d of thought just paralleling airplanes could be made into an exciting “race” across the Atlantic...lol. This is why I love your vids and why I support this channel. Just fun, Daniel 😂
Hey, Dan, I'm flying Norwegian Air Shuttle from BCN to LGW this July, and I was wondering, what are the main differences between flying domestically in the U.S. and flying within the E.U.? Are there different check-in times and rules; do they also allow handheld electronics during takeoff and landing, etc.?
***** Flying within EU is very basic yet a lot more formal than flying domestically in the US. Check in is usually min 45 mins before departure. Not sure on Norwegians electronics policy. Maybe check their website? :)
''Why do I travel so much?: To visit family and friends. It is not my job!'' based on your flight videos, you have family all around the world literally hehe good videos though
kubla777 Yup, true dat. Their highly swept wings (37 degrees unless I'm mistaken) are designed for faster flight, something like 0.85-0.87 mach on average.
The two main competitors with a different approach to success, its like saying what is better a single or double decker bus. One is heavier and uses more fuel but can carry more people as the other is lighter and uses less fuel and but carries less people. Todays aircraft market is more about fuel consumption and passenger numbers not how fast they can go!
Well the windows are a little bigger than the 747 but it's almost not noticeable. Something to take note of is the double pane window of the A380 and it will be hard to look outside during night flights if a passenger turns on his/her reading lights. The window inner pane of the window is very big but the outer pane of the window (The actual window) is smaller than the inner pane.
wrong, at cruise ATC does not govern speed, it's all to do with weight and wind, by standards the 747 is faster then the A380 (marginally) but with a good tail wind then an A380 would beat the 747. A BA 777 from New York to London did the flight in 5 hours (compared to 7:30 it would normally take) It had a very strong tailwind and was 15mph of the speed of sound
Your conclusion is based on one video? The 747 is higher so the air is slightly thinner. You didn't know the passenger counts or the fuel on board for those two aircraft as well. Tailwinds also can vary with altitudes. There are many factors to consider rather than visual observations from a 2 minute video.
inside one of the planes i forgot witch but the poilet said everyone it looks like there challenging us to a race get your seat belts on because shit is gonna get real i laughed so hard when i saw it

Couldn't say it better, great comment mate. 👍✈️
The old gal still has her groove. Fastest commercial airplane in the sky, even after 45 years. SpeedBird One World. Long live the Queen of the Skies!
+Jeff B It hasn't reigned as "fastest" for 45 years? Concorde & the VC10 were faster?
+Deep Heat under mach 1 it is.
rear speaker
VC10 had 13 KPH on it. Check it out
VC - 933 KPH
747 - 920 KPH
+Deep Heat i stand corrected, thank you.
rear speaker
No problem! Thank you for being so civil.
feel really bad for the passenger on that A380 cause i heard baby crying in the background, which should be any flyer's nightmare.....
Li Jonathan Somehow, crying babies don't really bother me!
Wow! You have a tranquil mind!
But crying babies in a very long flight is just the most annoying thing ever.
I once flew from TPE to LAX, which was a 12 hrs flight, a baby cried through out the whole flight... Really good lung function and strength...
Li Jonathan I havn't flown to the Philippines yet and not heard the constant cry of babies! Oh well.
That is very cool! On one of my 747 flights, we snuck up on a Turkish 340 and a cargo DC-10 -- and left them both in the dust.
WOW!!.. Awesome view for flying so high at a very high altitude!
What a great vid! I love the fact she has the sun in her face!
Very Nicely taken
Thanks for your great vids man, I havent flow for a while and with all these crashes... But this really shows why I love flying. Thanks again and keep on making great vids :D
Amazing! Very cool to fly on an A380 and see BA's Oneworld 747 at the same time! :)
great footage, the 747 is still my favorite passenger jet of all time, queen of the skies :)
Great banter mate.
747 is the DON of all planes in the sky right now
Absolutely
Epic video Dantorp! En riktigt go en!
The old gal still can show the youngsters a thing or two, and has been doing that for almost 50 years.
She’s an international treasure 😌
It was a nice and awesome race up there. Great video. :-)
That's pretty neat
WOW! This is just AWESOME!
I wish I could be there and see it by myself!
Queen of the skies forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The best.
Beautiful
Looking those con trails is when you realize just how fast a plane goes ,and what a monumetal amount of air is being processed very very quickly
Nice Video what did you use to get such a close up? And on a clear day near my house about 20 miles away i can see planes flying from Dublin . I can see what they are on Flight Radar. I guess looking at the the 747 it is flying around 38-39 thousand feet were you guys flying at 36 37?
Nice catch!
awesome. So cool!
Great catch ;)
I love british airways livery. Looks good on the old girl.
Keith murray
True 👍
Ugh, the first thing I think about now before I get on a flight is: "How many babies are going to be on this flight?"
It’s starting to get crowded up there.
“Road rage” aircraft version up next.
Cool video
Awesome race great video any idea where British Airways was flying to
Ha, nice one!
Lovely OneWorld livery :)

Great video! Did the 747-400 overtake you guys? It might have beaten you to JFK if that was its destination
Great and rare footage, awesome, you should do a series on an app called Infinite flight would be awesome
Beautiful B747...
Queen of the sky...
Nice
awesome
Good video. Thanks for this post.
nice
Awesome! Hey Dantorp any 767 takeoffs?
I have been on both planes but let me say 747 has a special place in my heart.
thank u for flying British Airways
''Why do I travel so much?: To visit family and friends. It is not my job!''
based on your flight videos, you have family all around the world literally hehe good videos though
It's a known fact that a 747 is the fastest plane in any fleet who still fly's them.
kubla777 Yup, true dat. Their highly swept wings (37 degrees unless I'm mistaken) are designed for faster flight, something like 0.85-0.87 mach on average.
+tristanhnl 0.89
Yeah I was thinking that the 747 probably over took the a380
My dad flies British airways 747-400 and he says he passes A380s all the time
Might be one of the reasons your dad in his 747 gets about 20% less fuel efficiency per seat that the A380
Jumbo's race.....both of them are Kings of sky....
The two main competitors with a different approach to success, its like saying what is better a single or double decker bus. Hi. What camera do you use?
Two British built planes still hold the record for fastest super and sub sonic transatlantic crossings. Concorde (of course) and the VC-10
Wooow...i never saw the neighbour beside when i took the plane
Hi there, those windows look very small are they smaller then on 747s??
Well the windows are a little bigger than the 747 but it's almost not noticeable. Something to take note of is the double pane window of the A380 and it will be hard to look outside during night flights if a passenger turns on his/her reading lights. The A380 is Sexy huh bro? I love Airbus :3
I just saw the vid from someone in that 747. Funny. You guys should've waived at each other.
The Queen is still gorgeous as ever
Two great planes! 747 is the queen , A380 is the king.
No, the A380 is the queen's ugly fat lesser cousin. 😝
igorghost the A380 already going out of manufacturing in 2021. Not quite a king
DANTORP this isn't a review?
I'm going on a Norwegian 787 next week. I plan to take footage, but based on the flight, how is the meals and media on Norwegian 787s?
FSS Square I've only flown them short-haul so all I know is that the entertainment is great! Enjoy your flight :)
Dantorp Aviation Thanks! Check out the video when it's uploaded if you like! :)
Dantorp Aviation One more question, I'm not sure if you've been to the JFK observation deck, but is it worth the 50$?
Forget about that; just make sure you have earplugs to drown out the crying babies!
Redblade Over a year later and that still goes on on my flights.
I mean it's expected, but jesus, calm your baby down.
the 747 a much better looking machine for sure!
"Please fasten your seatbelt, cause shit is about to get real."
Everything out of the window of the 380 is British - Wings & engines, Rolls Royce powering the 747 as well!
Nope, those are Pratt & Whitney.. nice try though : )
Avnett
What are you basing that on?
The a380 was an Air France flight......so it had Engine Alliance engines.
Air Alliance don't make engines for the A380.
Rolls Royce RB211-524H - nice try, though :)
As if a British carrier would option American engines on it!
I'll always prefer the 747 to the a380. From a visual standpoint the 747 simply looks better, a classic.
747 winner
Great video dantorp cheak out my contrail spotting con trail spotting video!!! That would be awesome
Crusing.....747 she's magnificent. ..
Pilot : buckle up people, it's now on!
both birtish airways??
OneWorld too!
is that normal?
Oh yes, very.
Sharklet vs winglet?
+Roger Davis neither, i like wingtips.. ;-)
Hahahaha! The baby!
why is the 747 going up in mid air, i mean that is not suppose to happen unless they are avoiding collision?
Where was the ba heading
who wins?
what camera you using Dantorp Aviation
Thanks haha *****
What was the route for 747?
Which aircraft were you on please?
+John Smith obviously the a380 since the 747 is being filmed
winter july Oh yeah, sorry..
Joe Sutter did his job very well, still the fastest, the Queen didn,t age a bit...
You got that right...By all measures the 380 is a failure for the airlines that bought them.
The A-380 could make a excellent cattle hauler...........
Hence why Emirates makes massive profits and was voted Skytrax best airline of the year 2016
What's that name the airline of a380?😃
B747
Nice video. The evidence is clear. Boeing 747 is much faster than A 380 . Sadly baby crying in the background.
+Ronald kinzanza Well usually pilots fly based on the speeds the atc tell them to. Once I was on board an A380 flight we overtook a 747.
wrong, at cruise ATC does not govern speed, it's all to do with weight and wind, by standards the 747 is faster then the A380 (marginally) but with a good tail wind then an A380 would beat the 747. +Draylogic Yes Tailwinds too.

Airlines set the speed with their cost index. The 747 is efficent at higher speeds because it was designed when fuel was cheep.
That crying baby sure is a "frequent flyer". Sheesh. 8-(
So who got there first? Bet the Boeing owned that damn Scarebus..
A380 on another level! the king!
747, or a "bus?" I'd now pay extra to avoid the Camry-like A380 dullard.
It was british airways 747 in one world livery
the pilot made us aware of this happening just the other day on the flight I was on... I was on the wrong side of the plane and didn't get to see :((
My old friend crying baby is also present in this fight.
I'm an Airbus guy, but I have to give it Boeing when it comes to the queen of the sky.
747 forever
Think the baby is a BA frequent flyer...!
shut that baby.I don't want background sound.
I was in the 747
surprised to see that there are no 747 and a380 arguments in the comment section
A380 IS BETTER THAN 747!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol
TimePro
it is but I still like 747 more
David Ng i know, i was just kidding, there both da best
+TimePro IS NOT!!!!!!!!!
Two things you will experience when flying - Hasidic Jewish guys at the airport & a crying baby!
Baby crying in a flight?? That happens to me always -_-
me too
inside one of the planes i forgot witch but the poilet said everyone it looks like there challenging us to a race get your seat belts on because shit is gonna get real i laughed so hard when i saw it
