Sounds like either a snare player wrote this piece or someone outside of the percussion world wanted to try to write drumline music. Sounds great! But not enough split in the Bass, Snare seems a little more rudimental than the quints and bass combined. Otherwise, it's a great idea and could be messed around with a little
In the beginning, what you could do is have the basic beat split amongst all the basses while it's soft and groovy instead of being unision. Then when it's the "shots" part, you could definitely keep that unison.
I think you have a great frame work that could easily be used for a "bleacher beat" or something between plays at a football game. What I like most about this composition is that you could put this in front of most HS lines and they won't have to spend months learning it. If your line is more advanced you always have the option to "color" the bass parts to a greater degree as others have suggested. Even something as simple as having the bottom basses play unison as written and then give the upper 2-3 basses a few simple fill runs to fill it in and add a degree of difficulty for your more talented players. Overall nice writing.
While questioning whether it was appropriate for my students to play this, I flash backed to when my little brother's middle school had them playing (and singing) Tequila. #doingit.
Wicked cadence! Nice job. I'm loving this. As a girl from marching band always wanting our school to have a cool beat to walk out to I AM THRILLED. THANKS on behalf of all marching bands out there for doing this.
Good deal! I always loved spending free time in the MIDI lab at school and creating new cadences. It definitely takes a special ear to hear the different parts.
One suggestion is when it goes it to cut time that you have the quints go down the drums. Of course making it sound decent. Changes the tenor line a little for more flavor. Just a suggestion:) sounds awesome!!
Sometimes, usually yes but they can be used to indicate rims too. I'll usually it out but i forgot in this one so my bad. Usually if the x is on the C in treble clef its a rim and if its on the A its a shot. Another easy way to tell is that when I write shots, they ALWAYS have a marcato (the little sideways accent) and rims never do.
hey I'm a percussion caption a my school and I was wondering if I can get your email because I fell in love with these remixes and trust me they are awesome
Much love little home! these Cadences are fun and excellent practice for sight reading but I recommend if ur the captain of ur line sit with ur sticks get a beat in ur head and write ur own Cadence trust me if u hope to be playing at the next level it really helps! I was also captain of my line in high school ! got my first pair of sticks when I was 3 I'm 38 now and to this day I carry them everywhere I go! I thought nothing could beat getting a full scholarship to the university of Arkansas till I had my daughter and I'll give u on es guess what I named her...... haha yup her name is Cadence, and she's will be in 6th grade this year and playing on her first line! Also she wrote her school two new intro cadences called "Jade'' and "Night Terrors"! Night terrors is awesome they kill the lights and play for a bout 30 seconds in the dark with regular sticks then bust into a upbeat rhythm using those sticks that light up for 1 and a half minutes then the lights come back home and the band marches into a big G behind the line! I'm so proud of her!!!
lol Even though splits are complex to teach and master on bass, to get all those unisons perfectly clean between 5-6 bass drums, though doesn't sound very hard, is a unique task on its own... Though splits are just more fun and make the whole point of playing bass. Though this is still a cool little cadence, good job.
you should try to make a cadence for somebody i used to know. i think someone with your creativity and ability to write music you'd make a really awesome cadence.
Yeah, every time i try to write in bass runs everything sounds too cluttered or just sounds bad... I'm working on it though I'll try to start incorporating that more! =]
Idc what anybody says it's freaking B-E-A-uuuutiful ;P... yeah i took that from Jim Carrey oh and I am on a drum line that I know would love to play these cadences next year!!!! Peace!! P.S. - Keep writing, you're too damn good ;)
Oh yeah no doubt, nothing I like to hear more than a clean bassline that can nail a crazy split. But unless you're marching world class in highschool, it usually doesnt happen. but like i said, theres always exceptions
I'm also trying to learn and teach this to my drumline. I'm a junior at Clay-Chalkville High School this year. I've already started working on this for myself.
Oh alright, yeah I'm writing these for a typical high school line in other words, all the freshman go to bass drum by default so when I do put a bass feature its usually just a groove but I'll keep that in mind. And I did write a bass feature in "Give it to me" but that one was for my line so I knew what their skill level was
I'm a bass clarinet player, why the heck am I watching cadences 😂😂😂 anyways, this sounds great! I wish my HS drumline would play this, but they seem to prefer playing the same 6 cadences ALL THE TIME so I guess I'll just have to deal with hoping and dreaming of out drumline doing more cadences like this. I feel like it was a bit too long for a cadence, especially if you use it in a parade and the other band members have to do horn flashes to it, doing horn flashes with a big instrument to a long cadence like this would kill me!

what do you mean by 'split' in this context?
In the beginning, what you could do is have the basic beat split amongst all the basses while it's soft and groovy instead of being unision. Then when it's the "shots" part, you could definitely keep that unison.
@@eamonnbeahan5611 where they have split parts
Snare drum elite, but yeah, some 16s or 32s in the bassline would be tight.
I was thinking the same. Sounds great and fun! But could do so much more with the basses ❤
I've always loved the drum line. They are what make the band awesome. I would've been a percussionist if I didn't choose brass.
Brass is still cool tho
I feel the same way though

IrishKiltie19 that’s what we use it for. A crowd pleaser to get the student section in the mood for the game in between touchdowns
Quints is hard enough
Yeah
Cymbals for this tho
wow that’s funny we call them “stand tunes”
Don't you just hate it when you're in band and your name is Kaidence?
Lol
love it
R.I.P Namjoons Glasses army
There’s a baritone named Kadence in my band 😂
@@gio6599 I assume you mean baritone player, correct?
Rimshots shots shots shots sho-shots shots shots shots sho-shots shots shots shots sho-shots
Marched in my homecoming parde today and this was one of our cadences and it was a giant freaking hit! Everyone loved it!

I absolutely abhor this song, but this is by far one of the coolest cadences I have ever heard. Everything is so effective. Nicely done.
One of the greatest videos ever posted on UA-cam.
All my sheet music is free in the description

My HS band does tequila lmao
At 2:07 you could have one snare Play the electric wheel chair as a solo over it. just did it and it sounds pretty cool that way
this should be a bleacher beat at football games. I sure as hell wouldn't want it to be my line's walkbeat

Best cadence ever I swear
awesome arrangement , we have a Christmas parade Sunday!!! m y drum line is going to enjoy this !!!
Tarik Miller stay tuned for a new Christmas piece coming soon!

Dude did u write this? NICE! Our cadences in drumline kinda suck right now.
My drum line is doing this for a cadence. It's going to up our badassery by a million.
VandarGames Ima try to introduce this to ma drumline...
Pikaboss well we're going to play it better.
VandarGames Nuh... nuh... NUH-UUUUH! xD ok I'm done xD
No I wrote it
Other than the fact that my ears were criminally assaulted at the beginning, very nicely written and catchy. Love it.
Haha we got in trouble for playing this cadence!! It was so worth it though!!
Sweet cadence!!!! I could march thirty minutes with this cadence and never get tired.
One of my favorite songs... And you just made it better.
Uhm... This has to be the SICKEST cadence of all, i mean ALL cadences. GOOD/ GREAT JOB!!! love it!
2:32 awesome tenor drum part
This is by far your best song!
Good deal! I always loved spending free time in the MIDI lab at school and creating new cadences. It definitely takes a special ear to hear the different parts.
I really appreciate the positive feedback! Glad you like it, I'll have a new one out soon so keep an eye out for it!
Dude this is sick. Im definately going to talk to director bout playing this.
This hot
My Drumline can play this now not exactly the parts but its similar
Thanks for the video!!
6th time to listen to this cadence today and loving every minute of it!!
This is great. Coming from a class B music writer such as myself, this is awesome!
One suggestion is when it goes it to cut time that you have the quints go down the drums. Of course making it sound decent. Changes the tenor line a little for more flavor. Just a suggestion:) sounds awesome!!
Thx bruhh, this music might save our drumline.
Thx recremended section
Damn. This here is some good material- a must to be learned and played
This was our cadence for last year and absoultely loved it . It was so easy and fun to march too
yeah, that's cool for inbetween plays (we have short cadences like that too) but I wanted to write a full legnth cadence
Sometimes, usually yes but they can be used to indicate rims too. I'll usually it out but i forgot in this one so my bad. this is so sick i'm definitely using this for one of my school's marching cadences
all x's on the C in treble clef stick clicks or rims whichever you want, the ones on the A are shots. The only exception are the double stop shots
Can you make a 'Turn Down For What' cadence? Thanks.
My school's football team is going to playoffs.
Which means the band gets to go with em :3
GO DRUMLINE! We can play this :D
this is so awesome sauce
You sir just inspired me.
hey I'm a percussion caption a my school and I was wondering if I can get your email because I fell in love with these remixes and trust me they are awesome

Definitely arranging this for my drumline. Love your stuff!
Best cadence I've ever hurd
I showed this to our drumline and this is our new cadence!
My drumline is learning it this week we play it Friday just started to learn it this week sounds good so far never to late
lol Even though splits are complex to teach and master on bass, to get all those unisons perfectly clean between 5-6 bass drums, though doesn't sound very hard, is a unique task on its own... This remix cadence is lit 🔥 bro Good Job 👏👏👏👏👏
This is like, beyond badass
Nice job, bro!

Showing this to my drumline for homecoming!
Wish it wasn't to late in my marching season, or I would see if the percussion could learn this. I think it would be very cool to hear. :)
YESSSS!! Loved this!
Idc what anybody says it's freaking B-E-A-uuuutiful ;P... yeah i took that from Jim Carrey oh and I am on a drum line that I know would love to play these cadences next year!!!! Peace!!

My highschool band had this cadence, the fans went nuts whenever we played it
This cadence is freaking awesome!!! :D
Oh yeah no doubt, nothing I like to hear more than a clean bassline that can nail a crazy split. But unless you're marching world class in highschool, it usually doesnt happen. but like i said, theres always exceptions
Really cool! i was thinking of doing something like this for my band but adding a hornline part for the lalalalas.
I'm also trying to learn and teach this to my drumline. I'm a junior at Clay-Chalkville High School this year. I've already started working on this for myself.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! Im gonna make my own arrangement based of this for my own drumline, please do more cadences!
seriously awesome. any other songs?
Generally, rimshots and rim hits are based on one line. Rimshots are below the one line, rim hits are above.
That's so sick I love it!!
not enough bass split.
agreed
GOOD 😤
Savannah Ornelas you get it it’s hard
your work is amazing!
This was my marching bands cadence but we got in trouble by our school when we would say Shots! Shots! Shots! Shots! Shots! Everybody!
Ahhh this is so cool!
so freaking awsome i love it
Oh alright, yeah I'm writing these for a typical high school line in other words, all the freshman go to bass drum by default so when I do put a bass feature its usually just a groove but I'll keep that in mind. nice job, def can feel it!
Sweet man! I enjoyed it... keep up the good work!
this is fire fam 🔥
This was supposed to be our cadence last year but then our director found out what the song was about and we had to get a new one...
the triplets in this cadence are sick
we played this at school once and got in big trouble but it was worth it xD
unbelievable... played it for a pre-game warmup in front of the croud and we had everyone by us...
did you by chance happen to make a tenor part with only one spock drum instead of two? :(
I love this! (:
Bruhh This went so hard
That's amazing!
great job love the sound
Amazing, I'm gonna try this out with my drumline buddies
esta super perrisima carnal te rifaste
nvm i read the description! thanks man! hahaha
It's in the description
This was amazing not super hard but sounds amazing
This would be a great Timeout Cadence and probably easy for the band to make a dance to
Hey man were you from I like your cadences and covers to the song really sounds like you know what your doing
@JaxAkaJT I forgot to publish it, should work now
I'm a bass clarinet player, why the heck am I watching cadences 😂😂😂 anyways, this sounds great! I gotta show this to my band directors
My friends always play this in band😂 We sing the song and everything haha!
Good stuff. Definitely can be adjusted for more advanced players, but great base cadence!
Amazazing!! Gonna tell my section leader! Fairly easy and sounds awesome!!!!!!
