I have always liked these displays and wanted one but never bought one. It would be neat to have my favorite iPhone on display! That being the iPhone 4S! My first Apple product was a hamydown iPod nano 3g. Worked and I loved it for quite awhile. My first iPhone though was a 3g I bought in 2015 or so. Used it for a bit and thought it was cool. It worked well and barely had any use even back then. I bought an iPhone 4S around the same time but it didn't work right and I messed it up worse lol. So never used it much even though I loved it so much. My first real iPhone I got was the 6S in 2019. I wanted the headphone jack and made it last around a year before switching provider and getting the XS. I loved the design (after a bit as it was weird when the X first came out). Switched to the 12 after I broke the XS screen dropping it. Now on the 14 as I switched provider again and got a better deal and love the design. I do love the colors of the 15. Really want that pink iPhone! But it doesn't have enough worth for me to upgrade from the 14. Just not worth the extra money when it really doesn't do anything more than my 14 can. If only the cameras didn't stick out so far and were flush. It would be so much like a modern 4S! If only...... I love the iPhone and Apple stuff. I just wish they could make the designs somewhat like the old ones. They had a classy and refined look to them unlike the modern slabs. No charming character. Just a black screen. And of course the absurd camera bumps and thinness. Like give me a bit more room for battery and make it all flat!

Clever product, uplifting presentation with your historical component comments a big plus, Jack. Was wondering about the battery, but you nailed it (fire hazard). Does the product authenticate the various parts as having come from the same smartphone unit, or might the parts have been cannibalized from several phones? Do you remember the Palm Pilots and other personal digital assistants? Love the T-shirt, BTW - was born and raised in NYC😊. On separate subject that might make a good video, are phone services in the UK offering 5G home internet service (over the air)? A few have started here in US but performance doesn’t have a terrific reputation (sketchy in bad weather). Cheers!
Cheers Paul! Grid do actually include a battery in some of the other Displays but it’s a replica for safety. Not sure if the parts are from the same phone or mixed. I do have a vague memory of the Palm Pilot yes haha. PDAs were all the rage for a time. Nice! I had gotten the iPod Touch 2nd Gen Grid as a birthday gift last year & got it up on my wall! That was my first ever Apple Device I had growing up as a kid! Then in my teens my first iPhone was the iPhone 4S, right before Steve Jobs had passed away. I’m not big on Apple as much now as I was when I was a kid. I do use android and windows more than I do apple, but without Apple I wouldn’t be the tech enthusiast that I am today! Great video Jack! Can’t wait for the iPhone 15 PM review!
