+Logan Melius I saw that, clicked, watched about 4 seconds and yelled, "Abort!" It's gonna be tough for the next month'ish to stay spoiler-free, man ... oy.
I couldn't resist and watched Vaati's three videos *(don't worry, I won't spoil anything)*, and I can honestly say that I genuinely shed tears of joy multiple times throughout almost every video. You should *DEFINITELY* look forward to playing it blind, totally worth the wait, although I don't regret watching Vaati's videos, because now my hype is greater than ever!
Back in the day, when the DLC was still pretty new, I used to invade in that little hallway and spam great combustions and fire tempests with my ascended flame. Naughty.
+Jakuzure Nonon Devilish. I tried a couple times with a spear for pokey-time fun in the narrow space, but it was after the DLC had been out for a while and wasn't getting much action. The couple times I did manage to connect I'd spawn into a, "World master XYZ has challenged the area boss" message. Bummer.
Artorias is my favorite character in Dark Souls for basically the reasons you pointed out about him. I always love fighting him even though he's pretty easy for me to beat now it's still a thrill. Great video!
+Codeburst I hear ya. I'd never really noticed it before until I was watching my fights with him play back, but it almost seems like Arty struggles with the sword a little bit ... like there's an extra bit of effort when he initiates swings and in the ramp-up animations. Maybe that's in my head, or maybe that's an amazing bit of detail attention. Either way, dude's a freakin' champion. Thanks as always!
Polygoing Maybe it is a cool detail since it is his off hand Fromsoft could've put it in to show he wasn't as adept with his right as he was his left. It's an interesting theory for sure.
+ineligible226 I hear ya - landing that final blow is always a little sad-but-triumphant; sad in that I hate seeing him fall (plus that death scream is haunting!), but triumphant in that I feel like I'm putting him out of his misery.
+Polygoing Exactly. Kinda hard to decide if I'm doing him a service or a disservice by interjecting in his lore. Maybe if you didn't kill him he really could have taken on Manus, somehow.
+Don Quijote Awesome, dude. How do you like your build so far? And yeah, the schedule's been a little sporadic lately mirroring some craziness in real life, but I'll get it reigned in and regular again. Thanks a ton, man!
Polygoing Im rocking priscillas dagger on the right and the gold tracer on the left. and gotta say I love how fancy and fluid the combos look. I sincerely hope you can get things sorted out, best of luck to you man!
+Wifitoaster Thanks, man! It's been a blast to make this thing; a little bittersweet to see it end, but I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. Bustin' Gwyn's chops in the next one and then on to glory.
yeah it is kinda bittersweet i remember when you started the series way back when, way before I started getting involved in the dks community. Kind of a big kick right in the nostalgia
+Burd Rights Happy to help! I sympathize on the spoilers, too ... it seems like a ton of people got early access, a ton of tons of people watched it, and a ton of tons of tons of people are now talking about it. Back under the rock for me.
Well hot damn. HE IS ALIVE! Sad to see this series coming to an end (even though the time between the bits has been a little radical at times XD). I wish to pose a question to you Polly. I know you will be getting Dark Souls III for the PS4 that's a given, but what do you plan for dark souls III as a whole? PvP, PvE, both, challenges, what are your plans for the final and glorious installment of the Soul series.
+ChaosKingD0mmm Alive and kickin' - thanks, man! And yeah, the timing's been weird; I'll probably talk about that/make fun of myself in the conclusion, but I'm still stoked to see this thing wrapped. RE: DkS3, my initial plan is to go into it from a PvE-first frame of mind. I wanna play the game for what it is before rushing out into PvP. I'm hoping that after playing through a couple runs with various builds I'll have a better understanding and appreciation for the game's mechanics and nuances and let the PvP stuff flow from there ... rather than trying to min/max my first character and find the new "Iron Keep bridge." What about you?
Polygoing To be honest I can't say I'll do anything much different than you! I'll go at the game and enjoy the PvE as much as I can and worry about the PvP when I've gone through a couple different characters, pyromancy, sorcery, pure strength, pure dexterity. Because let's be honest with ourselves...nobody makes a good character their first time through a souls game. It's always "I want to do this, I want to use that!" so the stats are spread so thin it makes the build useless for PvP! (^_^) So my first time through will be a hardly edited, raw footage, of me going through it on my channel. I want to preserve this so I can go back and see how I felt my first time. Since we all only get that "new souls feeling" once a game ya know, and this could be our LAST?!!!?!??!
People speculste Chester is a hunter from bloodborne. In bloodborne were you get a hunter set with a top hat a amygdala tries to reach down and grab you hence "snatched by a shadowy limb and dragged of to the past".
+Joe Floyd Yeah, man. The schedule's been a bit quirky, but thing's are on the home stretch. Gotta tie up a few loose ends and give Gwyn some of the ol' Partizan Wrath; soon, man!
So, I know Artorias is heavily based on Guts from Berserk. However, I still personally consider Artorias to be my favourite character in any series, he's just so damn cool and rather integral to the plot of Dark Souls, one of my favourite videogame series. Also, loving this series.
+Legend of Jonny Awesome, thanks man! I hear ya; all through the game you're hearing about Artorias and his adventures in the Abyss, only to find out it was false. Or partly false, at least. I also love the idea of the knights of Gwyn failing, weird as that sounds. Throughout all the lore and item descriptions it's all just, "The Knights of Gwyn are badass. Unstoppable. Dragon Killers." I dig that they had flaws and could fail in their quests, same as everybody else.
+Asif Ayon Just a little whistling tune I wrote/recorded on a larf for the intro. I ended up loving the hell out of it and have included the thing in every video/podcast since.
+Daniel Nelson Sinh reminded me a _lot_ of Kalameet in the way he moves and attacks with his aerial swoops. Kalameet likes to get up close and personal a lot more, though; Kal likes to charge you and flail around with his tail and claws, whereas Sinh seems to favor ranged attacks and has a much bigger arena, so you're constantly chasing him down. I'd say Kalameet is more of a melee fight with bouts of running around, whereas Sinh is mostly running around with bouts of melee. In my experience, at least.
I am waaaaaaaay more of completionist PVE player than a pvp player xD I hate pvp in the souls games, so much lag it's unbearable for someone with low internet. Whenever I do make a build intended to kill people it would be a troll build with the Great Bow and item ganks while being in Chameleon form. But wouldn't call that pvp.
+Paladin Leeroy Even with a solid internet connection the lag can be twitchy; I commiserate. Luckily there's tons of sweet PvE to go 'round. I'd never really thought of trolling as "not PvP" ... that's interesting, though. I think I just lumped everything that involves two players into the pile of PvP, but you're right - trolling is definitely different from dueling. It's almost PvF (frustration). Good call, man!
Polygoing I see PvP as anything that involves matchmaking between two or more players while I group invasions in a separate part since invasions are about doing every possible thing you can to fuck over the host.
so hard to avoid vaati's ds3 playthrough... this is just what i needed!
+Logan Melius I saw that, clicked, watched about 4 seconds and yelled, "Abort!" It's gonna be tough for the next month'ish to stay spoiler-free, man ... oy.
I cry every day but I will hold strong until I do my blind playthrough.
+Logan Melius Vaati's a nerd anyway.

Naughty.
Marry me.
+xTheVisionary
Show me the ring.
+Jakuzure Nonon I'm gonna put my Dragontooth up your Dark Moon, baby.
xTheVisionary
Dragontooth's too big for my Gaping Dragon, honey.
+Jakuzure Nonon Devilish. I tried a couple times with a spear for pokey-time fun in the narrow space, but it was after the DLC had been out for a while and wasn't getting much action. Artorias is great man. When you piece together his past he's so noble. Makes me sad every time I see him die.
+ineligible226 I hear ya - landing that final blow is always a little sad-but-triumphant; sad in that I hate seeing him fall (plus that death scream is haunting!), but triumphant in that I feel like I'm putting him out of his misery.

I was starting to miss you, in the time it took you to upload this I actually finished a pvp build.
+Don Quijote Awesome, dude. How do you like your build so far? And yeah, the schedule's been a little sporadic lately mirroring some craziness in real life, but I'll get it reigned in and regular again.
Thanks a ton, man!

holy shit the end is near, this has been such a good series and I cant wait to see the finally!
+Wifitoaster Thanks, man! It's been a blast to make this thing; a little bittersweet to see it end, but I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. Bustin' Gwyn's chops in the next one and then on to glory.

I missed you baby
+xTheVisionary I missed, you baby.
A new video! Something to hold me over until I can exit the ds3 spoiler bunker safely
+Burd Rights Happy to help! I sympathize on the spoilers, too ... it seems like a ton of people got early access, a ton of tons of people watched it, and a ton of tons of tons of people are now talking about it.
Back under the rock for me.
love this series
keep it up :)
+GothamKili Will do, Gotham! Probably one last installment to tie up loose ends and stick it to Gwyn.
I love these
+Robert Pol Thanks a ton, man! Glad you're diggin' them. I feel kinda melancholy there's only one installment left ...
Well hot damn. HE IS ALIVE! Sad to see this series coming to an end (even though the time between the bits has been a little radical at times XD).

been a while since i have seen you upload
+Joe Floyd Yeah, man. The schedule's been a bit quirky, but thing's are on the home stretch. Gotta tie up a few loose ends and give Gwyn some of the ol' Partizan Wrath; soon, man!
Polygoing you gunna upload any bloodborne/DS3 gameplay?
So, I know Artorias is heavily based on Guts from Berserk. However, I still personally consider Artorias to be my favourite character in any series, he's just so damn cool and rather integral to the plot of Dark Souls, one of my favourite videogame series.

Rip Tuesday Thursday uploading schedule XD
+Peter Chu Yeah, man. I'll get it back under control to wrap up and put some other goodies out. Apologies on the chaos.
Its also not 100% confirmed that he is left handed.
What's that little piece of music in the beginning?
+Asif Ayon Just a little whistling tune I wrote/recorded on a larf for the intro. I ended up loving the hell out of it and have included the thing in every video/podcast since.
+Polygoing Ahh man, I wish you made it into a full song. Would listen to it all day. Also, you're the classiest dark souls uploader out there. GG.
How do you feel about Kalameet as a boss compared to Sinh? I've never done the Dark Souls 1 DLC, but i loved Sinh.
+Daniel Nelson Sinh reminded me a _lot_ of Kalameet in the way he moves and attacks with his aerial swoops.
