Clean install and nice components! Really love it when you can mount the speakers in a factory location. Recently picked up an Alpine sound system designed to drop in for my GMC 1500. Looking forward to installing that soon.
In my TJ I went Alpine type R speakers Alpine HU and power pack with JBL BassPro SL2 powered sub. Amazingly clear precise audio and the small JBL 8 inch sub really adds huge bass from such a small package. Highly recommend this setup in a TJ
You did an excellent job showing your work. It gave me different ideas on how to configure my set-up. I'm running a ported 10 custom box and 4 new pods (mids and highs) my problem is the 2 amp locations and making it a clean and functional installation.
That sub box fits like a glove, looks factory. I installed all Kickers, including a 300W sub that fits perfectly where the stock one was and it rumbles right on your hip. The only thing that's not Kicker are the Quadratec tweeters and the Kenwood amp. Really dig this sound system, it's potent but not obnoxious. I definitely prefer the stock location of the sub. Because our TJ's have very little room as it is. But I'm sure that sub is an animal and your neighbors will know it too this summer. 🔊 Incidentally, Bartact seat covers are by far the best, I wouldn't use anything else in the '05 Rocky Mtn. 😎
Finally a video that shows you exactly what needs to be done! I have watched so many videos and nobody shows you what wires need to be connected. Which colors need to be spliced together. How to run the wires from the engine to the rear of the Jeep. Thank you!!! 👊🤪
This is were i got creative. I made a 4th order, or bandpass style box that fits right behind the rear seat and is below the security tray on my jeep tj. Holds two 8" subs and gets stupid low on the notes. Has one large port up firing on the birch enclosure and i even stained it cherry. Took some time to build never seen a box like this for a tj.

What size is that box looks amazing
Highly recommend removing the carpet and bedliner it. Driving around and it raining will destroy the box in no time at all.
