What size lift do you have and any bump steer issues with your OEM style set up? I was going to the WJ front knuckle/ brake swap for the breaking/ steering upgrade on my TJ but now I'm considering the Currie set up. Every thing else is Currie. Thanks

You should do a jk video. I just did a 3.25 rc lift and I have no issues. But maybe I'm missing something. My kit was springs. Shocks. Brake line extenders. And rear track link bracket. I installed myself and measured the rear for shifting . The track bar bracket I adjusted and were solid

Who wired your rig? I'd worry as much about that as light rust what are all the looped red firewall wires?

You talked about the roll bar but not the cover, where did you get the padding cover for the rear and around the upper sound pods? I didn't install the rear bar on my kit yet becausei didn't want to cut the cover and my overhead wrap is just hanging because I didn't want to cut it until I had more time to think it thru. Great video

Thanks for the video. My 06 tj had the same issue. With about the same mileage. I daily mine. I'll subscribe thanks to your video. I've replaced ever sensor,rear main seal upgraded exhaust. Gonna add j8/dana44 with ox locker to upgrade hpd30 with trutrac. Then upgrade my ford9 I run in the back.

4.0 engine is the most over rated engine ! Only has 180 horse power and is extremely sensitive to heat ! The other engine 4.2 L that was used on cj7 and 97-91 wranglers even less power and crappy ! Plus they both are gas guzzlers ! So who wants high gas mileage engine with absolutely no horse power to today’s standard!

Yes tj is the best but it's even better stock!

#6 The 4.0 engine is built to last. My 01' has 215,000 miles on it, and it still runs strong🙂

Looking to buy one and the seller says it needs an alignment which I assume means it’s pulling to one side. With that said Do you recommend me passing on this one?

Reasons the TJ is NOT the best Jeep ever. Extremely prone to rust. 0331 cylinder heads. Dana 35. Rear drum brakes. No brake lock differentials. SYE needed when lifting 3"+ Weak piston skirts. Low oil pressure. Leaky rear main seals. Oil pumps wear out. Valve train noise because the lifters are against the outside wall of the block. Some 04-06 have never ending problems with cam sync. The only fix is a new to you used engine block, and a prayer that it is in spec. Bad emissions and performance, because someone at AMC , and later Chrysler, went full tard. Ya, I said it. They placed the intake and exhaust manifolds together on the same side of the engine. Then they doubled down in 2000 and put a pair of catalytic convertors directly under the intake manifold. Can you say stupid? Baking your intake air charge is not how you make power or get fuel economy. The 4.0 is so easy to work on. Have you ever pulled the intake/exhaust manifolds/ cats? Upper bellhousing bolts? Alternator, A/C compressor, Power steering pump? I have a million times. I'll gladly work on a 3.8 or 3.6 any day of the week. Many people are weekend warriors and daily their Jeeps. The JK and JL are hands down much better for this. A 2 door JK 3.6 only weighs a few hundred lbs more than a TJ and makes MORE torque and 100 more hp. It doesnt make the low end torque , but it will donkey stomp your 4.0 in any race longer than a rock garden. For 98% of people, a 2 door JK or JL can do anything a TJ can offroad , and a bunch of things a TJ can not do, on and off road, with a boat load more comfort, and much less fatigue. The best Jeep is subjective to the owner and their intended use. I love my TJ's, and I've built a bunch of Jeep inline stroker motors, but I daily a JK for a reason.

I've got a 2003 Rubicon and have put over $10k into upgrades. Plan on it....

I live in south Louisiana and mud is a way of life for us because of rain and our soil is clay and sand, no rocks here. I never understood why so many tubers complain about MT's being too loud. of course they are loud and they are meant to be loud by their design. then they bring up these fake MT's like Milestar Patygonias or some other "Hybrid" tire that isn't a true MT's, they are only labeled MT because they are slightly better than an AT but they still suck in real mud.

Doing amazing things in a 2 door.

I took my stock muffler off by removing the upper control arm and coil spring. Put the jack-stands on the frame and let the diff sag on smaller jack stands.

Wish I could get a gen5 G26 with gray, battlefield green, or least FDE frame, want another but want something other than black. Like the Gray, wish I could swap all Mine out for it but don’t feel like losing money selling Glocks and having to buy night sights just for color frame.

you have to upgrade ALL Jeep steering if you put gigger tires on, so how is that a Major Flaw for the TJ's ? Nothing wrong with the wheel base, it is what you do with it. I know people that make the wheel base shorter then stock

What engine is in your tj?

Should be using gear oil. Not atf in transfer case.

Video never does really show any trail like it is in real life. 75 will give you anxiety to day the least.

Nice build.. What's the sunroof thing u have. And do you have a space for the front shocks.. i like the look of tj with front higher than rear.. i have a 2005 tj with rough country 2.5inch lift kit..
