- A NOTE FROM KEN: Hey everyone, I'll be heading out of town for the next week, a very welcome vacation, so this one will be the last video for a little bit! We'll continue on where we left off with Aaron when I'm back!
Today, we have a fantastic 1964 Fender Stratocaster with a beautiful sunburst finish, all-original with the exception of a factory respray on the neck! We'll go ahead and let Jay gush about this wonderful instrument before handing things off to Aaron Hiebert for a demo through the killer Tone King Imperial MkII that we featured yesterday!

I owned one of these, bought used in 1965 for around $180. Gorgeous guitar. Could be the most beautiful cherry sunburst Fender ever made!

It was sad hearing of this, not only the products, but the kind folks that bring us these are now out of work.

what drive and effects pedals are being used?
I believe that was sraight into the amp. It has a built in atenuator, as well as a "mid bite" control if I remember correctly.

Those things never sound right though, you can never get the range of dynamics as good as the amp, they always sound fake

the demo guy should better play an ibanez into a marshall amp... trying a vintage strat on such amp without considering the clear and cristal reverb and trem sound it can give is just passing by!
haha ! 20,000$ for this 64' strat. no one could be ever able to discern the difference in a blind test with a X10 cheaper new fender or even a X40 cheaper squier !!
