Last year i got sub 3min Phosani kills with mage only, and even Tekton and Olm melee hand were a joke vs shadow in max gear, so I doubt you need to worry about anything other than your primary combat setup in this league also. Only exceptions would be like melee route doing zuk (therefore needing at least like a rune crossbow or something) or toa p2 needing both mage/range.

@@GentleCrank At the point of the comment you needed both Zeah and Fremennik to get the gloves. Now with the reveal of component items become the full item, you only need Zeah.
One thing, I picked Tiranwnn in the previous league when I went a range route and it's a very underwhelming zone as it's mostly late game content but very limited in its rewards. The weapons you can get there really aren't all that great because crossbows were so good that it just wasn't worth it. And why settle for crystal when you can get Masori instead? ToA isn't that much more difficult than CG and it will drop a Tbow too now which basically is a complete upgrade over Tiranwnn, there's no reason to pick that region in my opinion unless you really enjoy the content it has or if it has an absolutely bonkers busted echo weapon drop. I think my picks for ranged this leagues are going to be Varlamore, Asgarnia and Desert.
Same. Picked T as my third region in a raids-less Leagues IV. I never dropped the tanzanite fang, didn't go massively dry or anything (Did ~250 at 5X rate). It just stopped being fun. There wasn't enough in the region to help me reset my mental. Wasn't close enough to any next goal/task to really want to go back to other regions. Kinda ended my Leagues with a wimper. Just how it goes sometimes, I get that. But T is more susceptible to it.
@@Ghostzapper Yeah, exactly that. I basically got my full crystal armour set and bofa and soon after that I burned out because basically CG was the highest level content I had unlocked in my region picks and T was my third pick. So soon I just had nothing left to do that I enjoyed and didn't get quite as many points as I would have liked. So this year I picked regions that have content that I already do a lot because I like it and allows me to really cap out my ranged set up, I also wanna get a load of points because the cosmetic rewards this time are so good.
@@Ghostzapper I'm probably picking Varlamore first because it has a lot of good early ~ midgame content and gives me a decent set of armour for all 3 styles. It also gives me mixed hide armour which will be useful later on when I get a fang from ToA and also has a stonemason for construction. After that I'm picking Asgarnia and Desert, not sure which one I'll do first, but desert has content like the giant's foundry which I like and it has ToA which allows me to max out my ranged gear, while Asgarnia is mainly for gwd as it has very useful drops, I like PvE content so for me it's not that bad to spend a lot of time at gwd. bro you need to re consider you saw the echo vid osrs just dropped crazyyyyyy you making a vid on the echo boss teaser today ?
In leagues specifically a lot of players have complained about the shadow being too accurate last leagues, where defence didn't really matter. Personally the only things I really dislike in the main game is that dragon hunter weapons, Emberlight and so on are rarely best in slot when that's their only use and monsters weak to specific spells I would make weaker to those spells to give more weapons outside of the shadow a use. That's just a personal preference though, I wouldn't say it needs doing.
I wanted to unlock areas I didn't unlock last year. I'd probably also do a ranged build as I enjoy ranged. I might unlock, Kourend (to skill), Fremminik but I'm not sure of the last area.
You totally missed the noxious Hali in morytania. Assuming 5 tick weapons are rounded down, that's going to be bis pre-scythe plus the extra range.
