Thank you for the sentence analysis and translations! I don't have to separately look up words I don't know! This is so helpful! One of the best videos/channels I came across to learn Korean! ❤

I'm between level A1 and A2 and this video was great to review grammar points and vocabulary. The only words I didn't know/remember were the verbs 어울리다 and 연락하다 , I've added them to my vocabulary list. Thank you for the videos, they are well made and have the perfect length.

I do like these videos, they're great. However, I think you underestimate how difficult they are. I'm a beginner learner, I've been learning about 6 months and there were a lot of words and grammar points that were unfamiliar to me. I'd say this was an A1 level story, but too advanced for A0.
Still, I liked that I could understand some of it, but I still have a long way to go.

    • @akapinnkorean

Thank you for your feedback! I totally understand what you mean.
I would say the stories aren’t meant to be fully understood by a total beginner but a material for study through stories.
It’s good if you can understand all of it and will be an entertaining way to review your Korean, but I’d say you can get the most of it if you understand a part of it while have to study the other part.
I hope it didn’t discourage you though! 🥹
If you don’t mind, could you tell me which grammar points / vocabulary were unfamiliar ?
And I am very thankful for your feedback.

Oh, don't worry, I'm not discouraged. I know I have a long way to go!
I'll try to give you an idea of where I am in my learning. I'm currently using TTMIK and am studying book 2, I've got up to lesson 19.
There's a fair bit of vocab that I personally hadn't encountered before. 수영복, 새로운, 연락해, 호에, 벌써, 방 금, 먼저, 동안 are all new words to me.
There were a couple of new verbs, 힘들어요, 어울려요, 시원해요.
I knew the verb for pretty, but have not seen the ending 지요 for 'right?'
Lastly, the grammar point focus of this video, -(으)ㄹ게요, is new to me. This grammar point does not appear to be featured in TTMIK book 2, so I'm not sure how advanced they consider it.
But anyway, that's just my knowledge level.
It can be difficult to find good videos that are suited to a very early beginner like me, it seems to go from 'how to read Hangul' to videos like this one, with very little in between.
So it seems to be videos that are far too easy, or just too advanced to be that useful yet.
But, please don't take this as me complaining about your video. I think they way you do them is fantastic and I look forward to the next one.

    • @akapinnkorean
      @akapinnkorean  4 місяці тому +1

@@gregsgame5 Thank you for your detailed answer! I checked TTMIK cursus and the grammar patterns seen in the video come a bit after where you are (end of book 2, beginning of book 3)
We are focusing on grammar patterns and vocabulary that are widely used in daily speech in Korean. TTMIK is a bit light on vocabulary in their main series of books which focuses on grammar. Are you studying with TTMIK only, or coupled with something else ?
Also, if you want to access the vocabulary list of each episode of these little stories, you can do so by going to Akapinn's website. It will probably be easier to study the vocabulary there. :)
Again, thank you so much for your feedback. I really don't take it as a complaint but see it as a way to improve our work, so don't worry about it! It's really kind of you to take the time to leave these comments.

I also have weekly 1 on 1 lessons with a native speaker, plus I use Anki for vocabulary, and of course I watch plenty of videos like yours.
Thanks for taking the time to reply to me. It's much appreciated. 😁
