Mad props on the way you just knock out any doubts of things as you're finding them out as you go like the way you did with the 1.1 orifice.
Thanks David!
Just bought mine today and used it with the Ryobi 1800 psi 1.2gpm washer and Gyeon q2 foam, and I switched to the 1.1mm orifice, and I gotta say, worth every penny so far. Awesome results
Thank you for this comment. I have same specs PW as you. My current foam cannon is 11yr old and I need an upgrade
@@AdamConstantine since writing this comment, I have used my MTM cannon a bunch and definitely still recommend it. Great quality build and foam output is great (again note that you may need to switch to the 1.1mm orifice with your pressure washer set up)
I just bought one a couple days ago can't wait to try it out this weekend.
At this point other companies caught up with mtm. Thanks for all the testing!
That adapter looks sick! I think the best use is for cleaning wheels. You can use brake buster in a cannon to foam fuels. The 2 heads will help you rinse it without having to switch between Cannon and spray tip
big ups just purchased this cannon - thx for tips on the 1.1!
Great review. Looking forward to your thoughts/review on the dual sprayer tool. I've seen it in some other videos being used.
Very informative vidéos. Helped me based many of my decisions.Thank you!
Super helpful! Thanks for posting.
best foam canon I've tried is the chemical guys MAX foam and works well! around $100 I highly recommend 👍
Great video. I was going buy one but 90 can't do the small opening. I have kratcher 1700 1.2 gpm with a cheap cannon and I get horrible foam. I think I am going order the pro. Keep up the good work.
I think having the softer pickup tube with the weighted ball would still be an advantage, I just got my Uber flex hose today and I’m still waiting on my mjjc pro foam cannon, great review Josh 👍😁
Thanks Dave! The MJJC is fantastic! You won be dissapointed
The PF22.2 build quality is top notch. I personally love the clicking adjustments and how smooth and high quality they feel. And the fact that you can get spare parts all the way down to a complete rebuild kit of all the o-rings shipped from the US from multiple US retailers is a great factor and shows that this unit will last a lifetime and that you can buy locally instead of direct from China. I ordered 2 spare PF22.2 bottles and caps so that I can pre-load my product into the bottles and just cap them until next time and all I’ll have to do is add water and im good to go and save time. MJJC is almost always out of stock in their US warehouse and they then have to ship from China which takes weeks and if you need the replacement parts they are more expensive than MTM and you have to wait weeks for them to arrive. Thankfully DTLRSupply does sell MJJC replacement filters though.
I mean I have to agree with you, but at what cost??? I love the ability to rebuild my tools or fix them.. but when your paying 1/3, to almost 1/2 the cost of a brand new unit.. is it worth it? I just done know.. I have the adams foam canon, chemical guys big mouth, and a cheap harbor freight foam canon. Thst has gotten used and abused much more than
My others.. it finally crapped out on me… I took it to the store and they handed me a brand new one no questions asked. I had dropped this unit Atleast a dozen times. It was used by the 3 other detailers in the garage and was used hard for 6 months doing close to 15 cars a day.. I would love to get this foam cannon.. but honestly absolutely hate the small mouth and metal on plastic connection. I have no doubt the build quality is top notch.. but the fact that they use a brass top screw, with a screw plastic bottle..now offering replacement bottles seems like nothing but a scam..there are thousands of comments talking about this..
I ran this last year and was satisfied with it, recently went to the new Griots cannon just released and I like it better, also less expensive. Definitely a good cannon.
The Brilliant Shine Foam cannon?
@@tacoeatinmonkey the newest Griots cannon can’t remember what it’s called but it’s just as good as the PF22 imo .
It comes with the 1.25 installed. It is for higher flow washers like the Active, Kranzle, AR630, gas high flow etc. 1.1 for low flow/gpm pressure washers like the Ryobi, Sunjoe, Karcher etc. the grey portion on the head turns the orientation without you turning the whole thing to move the spray pattern. Looking forward to the review on the stubby gun. As always, excellent work!!
Nice response, which products do you use for your washes?
I figured it was a 1.25 but it barely foamed at all. Ive used other cannons with a 1.25 that worked better... But with the 1.1 this one was perfect
Looks like a great product. I’ll stick to the Griots Boss & McKillians as you always suggest.
Had my pf22 a few years now works same as day 1
can you do a video of adding the MJJC filter (metal mesh with the foam split in between) and adding it to the PF22, since the orifice upgrade did make a substantial difference
I gotta try and find the replacement orifice Pretty new to all this so was wondering what that replacement part was lol. I know I have it somewhere I just gotta remember where I set it down in the garage
G'day Josh, Great channel! Very informative!! Please re-apply link for 1.1mm orifice - currently it is not working unfortunately :( thanks! Sam
Great videos !
Can i switch out to a 1.1 orifice even if im using a stronger pressure washer ( gas powered - simoniz 2900 psi - 2.5 gps )
?
I have the cheaper Amazon cannon, and the orifice will not budge. Any suggestions as to how to get it out ? Thanks.
Do you no if MTM - PF - 22 is going to make a wide mouth bottle. Here soon. Thanks
You think this is alot better than the sud magic foam cannon? Or just about about the same?
on the OG website it says the following for the MTM PF22.2
1.25mm Select this if your pressure washer has 1.6 GPM or more.
1.1mm Select this if your pressure washer has 1.5 GPM or less.
hey i just got one of these if it doesnt fit my pressure washer gun what can i do
The newer 1.1 mm orifice is not available on Amazon
I have the MATCC foam Cannon and it works pretty damn good, it has a plastic on plastic wide mouth wide base bottle and the tube is more flexible than the MTM and it's half the cost. I plan on getting the MJJC foam cannon soon.
The Matcc cannons are great... But i cant find them on amazon anymore
@@imjoshv You can get them right from MATCC's site. I needed a new foam cannon just for doing wheels/tires (I have an MJCC Pro as my main cannon), and so I didn't want to spend too much money. On their website, the MATCC Foam Cannon III is $32.98, but there was an instant coupon of 40% off any order over $32, which brought the cannon down to $19.79. Plus I got free shipping! Much cheaper than anything of comparable quality I could find on Amazon.
Would going to a 1.1 mm orifice over stress the power washer?
MTM makes the best pistols w/swivel and wands. I would go with your MJJC cannon. I don't need the "quick connect" to rinse because I am a DIYer and time is not a factor for me.
The first one does work. you just need to adjust the knob on top
which of these pressure washers has more power?
I’d like to see a review on the Astro AI plastic foam cannon. Current price is under $30 and has most if not all of the features you discuss (wide mouth, plastic on plastic with brass inset, horizontal/vertical adjust, flexible straw) at this pricepoint.
I’ve used one that looks the same and it didn’t perform very well. Not to say this one wouldn’t. I’ll look into ordering one
The link to the 1.1 orifice doesn't work
I get foam is cool but what does that give you that soapy water does not?
Hi Josh! I didn't see the aftermarket 1.1 orifice in the description. Could you provide it again?
amzn.to/3kkZQm6
use an aftermarket 3/8 npt to 1/4 plug on the pf22. the mtm npt male threads is made that way. it is to make sure that it would seal when torqued down. but i didnt use any of their plugs and couplers with npt threads coz just like you, i also dont like how they seat. and it feels like it was not that securely fastened.
Good advice!!!
Excelente gracias
The MTM 22.2 is a quality piece. As to some of the host's objections, in particular the metal on plastic, it's moot.. Some people will bust an anvil without even trying.
The MATCC foam cannon II has the weighted filter on the straw, I put a 1.1 orifice and it shoots foam like crazy. It’s only $22.
its a fantastic choice!!! But they arent offered on amazon anymore for some reason. I think you can still get them from their website
@@imjoshv Amazon has pulled out a lot of great products from their site not because of bad quality but because some companies were giving gift cards or free products in exchange for 5-star glowing reviews which is against their policy. I feel more comfortable buying from Amazon than from 3rd party unprotected site.
Now you can test the sgs28 stubby gun. Best gun on the market
Coming next video!
Hey Josh. Question for ya . On the stubby gun you use which I just received today. Do I need to put teflon tape on the bottom of the gun on the threads before I attach the connection orfice/o-ring thing.
I always do just to be safe
@@imjoshv how many wraps should I do or go around
Hi there! The link to the 1.1mm orifice for the foam cannon doesn't work. Can you please fix it?
here you go! amzn.to/2VhYmk7
@@imjoshv Thank you so much! Just ordered it!
I’ve been very happy with my Trinova
Same. I got a 1.1 orfice in it too and its great. Next foam cannon im gonna trynis the griots garage brilliant finish.
I have the trinova with the 1.1 and running it with a sun joe. How many oz of soap are y’all using?
Ill be testing out the cheap Amazon Basics foam cannon soon too!!
@@magarciaz20 im using adams mega foam so i use 2oz.
Not related to the foam canon but more related to the pressure washer. Do you use the ryobi vs the active ve52 ? Whats your take?
The Active ve52 gets more flow so i definitely prefer that one for car detailing... But the Ryobi is a great unit and gets the job done cheap!
@@imjoshv Thanks for the respond. By the way, i am using a cheap foam cannon from amazon and i swapped the orifice to the 1.1mm as you suggested. From my old craftsman gas pressure washer i was able to achieve thick foam using the Mr Pink. However, when i used the same foam cannon and active ve52 pressure washer. I am not able to get the same foam result. Is it time to say good bye my cheap foam cannon and purchase the MJJC pro? Thank you!!!
3rd and great video 😁
Thanks! 😁
I know this cannon is considered top shelf and I see a lot of high-end detailer using them (like Pan the Organizer). But for me, the deal breaker is the neck is too skinny, the pickup isn't weighted and, frankly, it's just too expensive. I have a Griot's Brilliant Finish cannon which is great. Even Pan picked this as the winner when he did a comparison test. Cool that the PF22 has a horizontal spray option, but would anyone here prefer that over vertical? Seems like an awkward way to apply foam, but it comes down to preference of course.
Agreed. I just ordered the griots brilliant finish so ill have a video on that soon!
I look forward to it! The only thing that surprised me is that adjusting the nozzle tip from one stop to the other didn't change the fan angle as much as I would have thought, but I'm nit-picking really. Great product. I've demoted my cheap Amazon Tool Daily cannon to just foaming Brake Buster (1:1) onto the wheels.
I know I commented on the video before, but I have been growing my collection of foam cannons and stubby wands… I did just purchase the mjjc from your website.. but I’m a little disappointed in this unit, for exactly what you talked about.. I had to assemble everything..and wrap all the fittings.. I know this is a staple.. but for what I paid for the package.. it’s pretty disappointing having to assemble the entire unit and I had the brass on plastic.. Im not sure why OG, has not changed this out… guessing it’s a marketing scheme to bring in money for all the people that strip their bottles… no doubt the head of the unit is premium.. but the bottle is not premium for the price.. I have more confidence in my $25 harbor freight bottle then this bottle… which is sad considering it’s 4x the price.
MTM PF22 VS MJJC FOAM CANNON PRO TEST
Yo bro you should use the brilliant foam Cannon from Griot's garage
Ordering it now!!
Barely 2 minutes in and I’ve judged the thing for having a tiny fill hole AND a brass fitting on a plastic thread. I’ve watched too many Josh V vids!
Looking for an inexpensive foam cannon any recommendations highly appreciated nothing over $75
Nothing over $75 gets you pretty much top of the line. Grab a MJJC Foam Cannon Pro off their website for $60 and you're set for life.
If you can find it ArmorAll Foam Canon
I will be testing the cheap AMAZON BASICS foam cannon soon. Looks like it has features i would like
Mjjc pro and the griots brilliant finish foam Cannon are two of the best ones if you don't wanna spend $90 on mtm
@@Jumalten001 The ArmorAll one from Menard's is like 22 bucks and works great and has a nice bottle with good measurements molded in.
I could care less about the mezzo, im looking for the kit with the MTM gun package on Amazon
this foam cannon is also known as good quality and it can be used as commercial use.
👍
I finally tried out my mjjc pro with my ryobi2000psi 1.2 gal. Worked good with the orifice it came with but with the 1.1, its amazing. MJJC all the way so far. The MTM out of the box is worse than a garden hose foam gun in my opinion.
Did you use MJJC pro or S ?
No i have the pro
washer setup -- foam cannon link don’t work
here you go!
✅ 1.1mm orifice for Foam Cannon - amzn.to/3n2LJ7M
Idk why I feel like the mtm sounds different than other foam cannons.
I agree
The best is still the mjjc
it's the original , it's sexy, and its Italian! Never perfect but ....it's Italian!
The Farrari and Laborghini of foam Cannons
1st but 2nd
That cannon need an update.
The head is great but the bottle could get an update!
Makes heavy foam
14$ for a new bottle btw
i use sprayer bottle instead of the original bottle it came with. i premix few shampoo ahead of time with those bottles and its way cheaper to buy if the threads are stripped
1st
For that much money it should be fantastic
Tiny hole for soap. No thanks.
