Ha ha ha,Bhakuni Sir,I was your Senior,14th batch at ATS,EME,Bhopal.However I had no similar adventure but cleared SSB 20 in August 1980 but Medical disqualification owing to Spondilolisthesis.Opted for Medical discharge and was discharged in sept 1981.

Quite similar story of mine.
I had failed in class 12. Reason being- I went for coaching to the mecaa of IIT prep- Kota. I was in a bad company and completely distracted.
Had I not prepared for army ssb my life would have been nothing. Today I work for a top consulting firm in India with a six figure pay
