This is hands down the best video I've seen, and the clearest into LAX. Kudos to you, kind sir for posting it. Great views of Ventura County: Ojai Valley, Ventura/Oxnard, Malibu Mtns then the usual east turn over the LA Basin. From the air like this, on a clear day, you can really see how huge and sprawling LA is. Second biggest city in the U.S.. Of course, the 405 North was crowded. I live in the Bay Area, born and raised. But used to love flying down there as a kid in the 80s. There was a lot more smog then though, esp. in the summers.
And how much bigger it all looked during that final descent compared to earlier when they were still over 5,000 ft up while heading eastbound and seeing LAX from there. Also cool when they then saw the stadium of the LA Raiders right before making that u-turn
I can sit on my deck and watch them come in way to the north. Once they bank east-south-west I can watch the approach as they descend. By the time they get over my place, the landing gear is down and the engines are roaring! Thank you *Christopher Spalding* for allowing me to see this landing from another vantage point - above!
Flew Allegiant from Bellingham, WA a couple months ago. This was the route we flew. Interesting going out over the ocean, then East, turning South and finally making the approach and landing.
There is some great scenery in and around L.A., with large areas of blue ocean. As for landings, I've noticed that alot of flights follow the landing pattern where you fly a little ways above and past the airport, keep descending in that direction a bit further, and then make the u-turn and finish descending directly back towards the airport. It's a common descending pattern not just in L.A. but in many cities
Nice to see all the places I drive around from high up in the sky. At the beginning is The Ojai Valley then Ventura, Oxnard Camarillo, the conejo grade into Thousand Oaks, Westlake village, crossing the mountains into Malibu’s point Mugu, Pacific Ocean to the LA basin.
CG captions of points of interest (cities, mountains, beaches, islands, highways, etc.) would have made this a 5⭐️ video! Without,...just another sight-seeing landing video
That's so funny because that's exactly what I think. I get a little miffed with myself because of that (and little things on other videos, like I seem to want to tilt to the left a lot.) I think I got caught up on the plane's shadow and realized after I first watched this that I could have gotten more shots of the Hollywood Hills on an absurdly clear day in the LA Basin. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Christopher Spalding No, thank you! I love seeing downtown, mid-city and the west side all in one shot. I wanted to see it on video more often, because most of the other videos are terrible at this. You got the best shots, despite any tilting.
@@f000ghk yeah, haha. Great views from the plane though, including the view of LAX when first flying eastbound over the Venice coast, and then good view of the stadium before making that u-turn before the final approach into LAX
Lol.😄😄 I've been wondering the same thing also with so many airplane vids that I watched over the years. A few years back the passengers were always clapping & cheering as to say "Yay, we made it down in one piece, we're not dead!! We're still alive!!"🥳🎉🎊🥳 But not anymore as you've pointed out.
I think im out of this shitty hole called Halmstad Sweden and go here instead Love the sunshine everywhere in spain and this looks great also / Michael

Indeed a lovely video. Watching plane landings is my therapy. ❤️
No one asked
15:35 that's the famous In-N-Out restaurant many LAX plane spotters record from if anyone's wondering lol.
The vast urban sprawl of Los Angeles always inspire during final approach.

A 32 seconds is the Santa Maria Riverbed with Santa Maria to the right. You must have flown out of SLO😊

My dad and I have the same color circle like yours.
Great Great Video. Thank You For Posting.
Beautiful city, roads are very straight, really I feel in the flight. Thanks.

L.A. The Greatest City in the World.
AMEN! The Golden Jewel of the Golden State
Sprawling LA at its best

That is one hell of a circuitous route into LAX - nice to see USC though
Great camera work. Thanks.
Smooth touch down on 24R
Love that L.A. sprawl!!!
I love this videos.....GOD is goooooooood.
You could see the world famous In-N-Out Burger at 16:36
15:36, not 16:36

Incredible how LA looks just like the surface of the Death Star
Does United still have the hub in LA? great video!
Awesome video! Very well done!
The air looks unusually clean for LA
Cairo M in the Fall the air is usually very clean in LA
@@gmatar what time of year is LA smog usually at its worst? Summer?
LA doesn’t have the pollution it once did. Most days, you can see the downtown skyscrapers and the mountains without a problem.
@@alvarofavela2918 Still not acceptable levels though
What a view but I was wondering.is what Happened to people's Back yard Swimming Pools I didn't see any come in to LAX????
Always that one kid crying in the plane!

JL and NH、from japan same scenery that's nostalgic🤗
I would recognize those winglets anywhere, and that’s a 737 MAX....
South Central LA, Inglewood
You looked down just a tad too much towards the end when you could have gotten a view of the whole city. Talking about after downtown comes into view.

@@HotelSierraVictor I thought that you got a great view of the city and of the hills during that u-turn right before the final descent towards LAX
so much open space yet they say cali is crowded
It’s only crowded in huge city’s
Like LA, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose
6:45 yoo I swear that it Swayne Martin who is talking!!!!
but actually...is it???
Wonderful landing
How were you able to get so many views with so few subs? I have a LAX landing video I uploaded a few years ago and it only has 1000 views.
There's a baby in the cockpit with you in the last 5 minutes of the video????

Looks like a "no flap" landing.
Interesting, I wonder why that is...
You can see a glimpse of the flap down around 16:24 after touchdown. It was hidden from most of video 😊.
Few buildings...so many houses.
Gawd, use to live there!
Great
5:53 Malibu Tony Stark house
12:39 Hollywood sign
Damn, I missed it!🤷♂️🤦♂️ Guess I'll have to go back and find it.

Vid stops frequently...very annoying
It wouldnt be a proper flight without the crying baby.
When are airlines going to offer ‘brat free’ flights?
Can’t stand screaming shit machines.......and I would pay extra to know no kids were on board..
Continuous tilting to the left ruined the video 🙁
i bet the plane smells of coffee hate that smell i drink alcohol
Weirdo
@@mellofello6792 i know right?

Lmao 🤣
