- Time to talk about Maverick, a character with an outstanding gadget and arsenal...but with a lore so positively full of holes, I'm pretty sure he took his own torch to it.
Let me lay it out for you.
Her Raven, thought I should tell you that while it still has some problems, I would suggest looking at the r6 siege official page for his lore and psych report. It says he re-emerged with the intel and Nokk is never mentioned. It also says Harry knew him well before he disappeared so obviously he has a history with Harry. He became a regional specialist in Kabul and focused on gathering intel, establishing a network of allies and safe houses, and tracked hostiles. The official site does mention that his parents were loving but rigid. Speaking from personal experience growing up in school, there was a kid in class who was in the same boat so I’m willing to give it a pass. As for why he took such a liking to Afghanistan, it’s probably because it was the first place he went to outside of the U.S. Harry even speculated that he got his tattoo as a way of reminding him of his time there. I know it still isn’t as good as it should be, but I hope it makes it a little better. I really like the idea of his character but I do wish we got more
I have recently gotten so involved in R6 and funnily enough Maverick is one of my favorite ops for how goofy and intuitive his gadget can be, but im very disappointed in the inconsistent lore. Not only with Maverick himself but the game as a whole and have actually attempted to rewrite the whole lore with all operators, even adding and replacing characters and events. I even tried fitting a ghost recon character into the mix with a unique gadget. Im honestly pretty glad to see you discuss this game's lore as well Raven. I wouldn't mind either if you'd like to read the rewrite I've been working on!
Now I'm going to double my R6 oc's backstory I've made for inconsistencies and missing important info I would love for you to read it and tell me what you think, I am quite proud of what I've come up with so far
Since no one is talking tactics or strats, I'll start. Personally, I like doing a strat I call the "Swiss Chess". It's simple, just put several holes in a wall( I typically chose random walls) in a V or W like fashion. Start from one end of a wall and burn a hole standing, then crouch and move over about 2 feet or so and burn another hole. Continue however long you want, though you should be careful you have enough cover between holes. I've caught people shooting the wrong hole and punished them for it, not many times though, because I don't play Mav much.
it seems they went for the less is more approach but somehow didn't quite pull it off
I wished they had gone more in-depth on Maverick, but its a shame they couldn't.
I prefer calling the hand gun the Tac-ops because that makes more sense than Taco ps. Like tactical ops.
Gameplay wise maverick is only viable op for a supressor attachment
Alright, time to look up that Nøkk girl..
For me maverick is kinda like tony stark in the part where he got captured and had buikd a suit from scrap, i feel like maverick was maybe captured in Afghanistan and somehow build ssome gadgets to free himself. Also i kinda dig his playstyle, even if someone notices your holes he can take claymores or work with other operators to make traps
I kinda like the Ideai of Maverick but sadly He just undercooked

Isn’t that the fandom wiki tho? Haven’t watched the full video, but the fandom wiki isn’t run by Ubisoft iirc. And Maverick was captured by insurgents too, at least that’s what I remember hearing, and that his torch helped him escape, can’t remember where I heard it but still. Also, I think Nøkk is pretty much just young female Sam fisher, so it kind of explains why she pops up in everything, feel free to fact check, not 100% sure
