I liked to pair (male) Jormungander with Shaman just to imagine their interactions entirely made up of snarls, growls, and grunts, then a couple of years later a baby pops out and that's how Berserkers are made. I just picture the relationship like a National Geographic episode.

So the Warden goes to dinner at his Nobushi girlfriend's house. Meet her family! -Her father, a strict but loving Daimyo Kensei who seems doubtful of her Knight boyfriend, but trusts her judgement in this. Still gives him the shovel talk by explaining seppuku and stating that he will force Warden to commit it should he harm his daughter. The protective anime dad. -Her uncle. Imagine if Uncle Iroh was a Shugoki! Greets her by scooping her up and spinning her around (she will always be his little niece no matter how old she gets). Greets Warden by giving him a crushing hug and a whispered threat to not break her heart or else! But is afterwards very chill and wise towards Warden. And yes, he is obsessed with tea. -Her twin brother Orochi. Apparently he is constantly training to hone his skills. If each Orochi is a match for 100 enemies, then he is determined to be the match for 1000! Apparently, there is a stain on their family's honor that he is set on redeeming them for. Demands a spar with the Warden to determine if he is worthy of her and could protect her (no matter how skilled she is, she's still his sister). -And watching the family from the shadows, is the oldest brother. A banished Aramusha. Cast out from both his society and his family for slaying his master. Even if he was a corrupt and cruel Daimyo, murder is still murder. He regrets his actions and how his family has suffered for it. He observes the Warden eating with his family. He doesn't hate knights. Heck, two of his new best friends are a Conqueror and a (cute) Black Prior who all bonded together over their desire for redemption! As he watches, he nods in approval. His little sister chose well. Still going to keep an eye on the Warden from the shadows. He still has an older brother's protective instincts! Wow, thanks Raven. Now I accidentally have lore and character for most my Samurai heroes!
Male Gladiator and Nuxia. I see it more as them enjoying the dance, while he definately enjoys the praise, but she, being more disciplined, denies him more often than not.

I think the female hitokiri should be paired with a male orochi, or maybe a female tiandi, since hito would strike fear in them with her presence but they would bring out her more gentler side over time with kindness towards her.

This is more of a bromance rather than a romance, but I see gladiator and centurion being great friends and gladiator, even serving as a wingman to Centurion all gladiator isn’t really focusing on romance too much. It’s on their mind, but they would rather fall in love with the arena and the roar of the crowd. Now this one I always thought of because I have no idea why, but Aramusha and Kensei one has a dead boss the other is a boss (sorry if I got that wrong) I imagine it has a sort of forbid in love, since they’re both on very opposite ends of the hierarchy
The Conq and Lawbringer demon and angel is just… impossible to put into words, far beyond perfection. As for couple I’d say male BP and Warmommy, no I will not apologize
But what pairings for Wingmans? Lawbringer is definetly a male Warden and BP wingman, he’s just built for supporting his bros And furthermore, Law x PK definetly has “harder daddy! What? What…” vibes after a quick look at other people’s ships and questionable artwork from the bowels of the internet
Rewatching this, I had a mental image for Afeera and Centurion. Beyond the obvious historical parallels such as Cleopatra and Caesar, there's this other dynamic that I enjoy thinking about Afeera is a scholar, who "Learns the arts and sciences" before they ever pick up a weapon. She's a tactician and a scout, chasing after old artifacts, studying histories, and trying to plan everything out. Whereas Centurion I feel would be the complete opposite. He's an officer and leader, kinda like her, but he's refined his craft to more of pointing at an enemy, and yelling, "Let's get them!." While she studies the history, he'd be telling her of all of HIS tales of glory and battle, all of which sound too preposterous to be true. . . until she learns from reading about it that he was being entirely truthful. She's the kind of person to study for weeks on end to get something right on a test. He's the kind of person to just instinctively get it right without ever figuring out how. And he thinks he's so great for it and it drives her insane.
I remember seeing a fanfic a few years ago about an alternate ending to the story mode, where instead of Apollyon succeeding in getting all of the Knights, Vikings, and Samurai to fight each other, they instead unite against the Black Legion and ended the war before it started. They had a huge banquet and the Warden and Nobushi, got married and had a child which led to a strong union between the Knights and Samurai while the Vikings were also cool with everyone especially since they got some supplies to make up for the ones that got destroyed by Apollyon

As a hopeless romantic like yourself, I love this video. I used to ship Lawbringer and Peacekeeper as well when I started playing For Honor, specifically *my* Law Bringer and Peacekeeper and pictured them with that same dynamic you described (more or less).
There are so many good combinations with these characters. A random one that I'm personally digging right now is Medjay and Shaman. I like the idea of Shaman seeing Medjay's weapon break into two for the first time and being so enamored by it that she follows him around.
I absolutely love every single one of these and honestly if I had time and talent, I would make an animation for this, I love what time and effort you put into the stuff you make, happy valentines day raven, also my ship is between my warden Starix and my shaman with no name yet, a reverse role situation as well: a brutal and savage warden yet the shaman is more of a refined warrior, it's odd I know but hey, fun for me (side note I'd go into more detail of the characters but I'd waste a lot of time doing so , apologies)

Warden x Nobushi pairing makes sense, considering both are meant to help those in need. The Warden is the archetypal Knight in Shining Armor and the Nobushi protect the villages far from the fortresses.
There are two fan arts of this that I really love 1st: It’s a picture of Nobushi teaching Japanese to the Warden, showing Warden’s desire to learn and understand other cultures, and Nobushi being kind enough to teach him The 2nd one is a bit goofy, but that’s why I love it so much Warden is sitting on the ground with his legs crossed, a bit embarrassed and flustered, while Nobushi, standing on a tree trunk behind Warden, places a flower crown on his head with a smile It’s adorable
I like this video. Kinda reminds you that all the characters you see, regardless of background or ethnicity, are still fundamentally people. People have desires, dreams, and many of them don't revolve around the battlefield. After all, as the saying goes, soldiers do not fight because they hate what is in front of them, but because of what they love behind them. Even in a world as scarred and bloodied as For Honors, love, kindness, and friendship persist despite the cruelty and violence.
The Chimera Banquet event was probably my favourite Not for the game mode, or the glorious return of HERVIS DAUBENY (though I still loved that) It’s because, for the first time in a long time, a game taking place in a world where war is constant and there are so few things to smile about, shows us something different It shows kinship, forging bonds, healing old wounds, reconciling with old friends and foes The Chimera Banquet trailer is one of my favourite game trailers of all time, especially the final artwork of Daubeny holding his hand up high while everyone cheers It’s beautiful
I've always been a Warden x Kensei person. Both heroes in lore have a strong sense of responsibility and code, being upkeepers of peace and protectors of their people. But also share the pressures that come with these responsibilities that cause so many of their kind to fall from grace. I think they'd find relatablity in that and form a strong bond over it, perhaps one that is not overtly romantic, but one of compassion and understanding. Yet, one that rivals their devotions to their codes.
My thing with Warden, was the focus on the Warden from the campaign, the way he almost tries to help EVERYONE Not just Ashfeld, but how he turns his back on the Blackstone Legion because he can’t forgive the way they attacked the Vikings, he can’t forgive the way they treated people who were just trying to live their lives And how he ultimately enlists the Emperor’s Champion to help defeat Apollyon That Warden took it upon himself to make peace with the other factions, he greatly respected both, offering alliance with the samurai, giving Gudmundr his sword so he could send the Warlord to Valhalla It always felt like the Wardens weren’t guardians of Ashfeld, but rather, defenders of Heathmoor in general It’s also worth noting that when you’re going through the story, there will be odd moments where characters from rival factions can’t understand each other, because when playing from one side’s perspective, the other speaks a language unfamiliar to the hero you play as (like how Raider heard the Kensei speaking Japanese or Valkyrie said she doesn’t speak Japanese) That’s never an issue with Warden, he speaks clearly to everyone, meaning he probably learned all the languages and knows how to communicate
I think the shaman x zhanhu would be even funnier if zhanhu would make some fireworks/explosives and shaman just dies of laughter seeing while they explode
I actually have a couple of fun For Honor ships of my own. Male Orochi x Warmonger- opposites attract, plus it’s a weeb twink with his beefcake girlfriend. Male Orochi x Female Warden- rivals to lovers Shugoki x Female Black Prior- She’s the one of few people who can actually lift the fat man. Highlander x Valkyrie- I could see this being one that was arranged to secure the alliance between the Vikings and Highlanders.

Huh...those are very interesting pairings yet oddly enough, they makes sense. Personally, I pair Highlander (a Younger looking Highlander that is) and Shaman, mostly because they often pair Highlander and Shaman in previous Valentine Day content.
Male jorm and female Zhan hu. The idea of order and chaos. Centurion and Nobushi. A balance the soft kind touch of Nobushi contrasted with the hard hitting way of Centurion. This one being a bit like how my GF and I are when it comes to pets. I'm one of a clear structure and of clear rules. She's more lax and I'm able to be more relaxed around her as I provide an anchor for her emotionally. I can honestly see this for the Nobushi and Centurion ship.
I ship Lawbringer and FGlad because WAYYY back when English's banter voice lines where going to be a thing, FGlad had incredibly suggestive lines with Lawbringer before battle. My favorites being Glad: "You look hot in there!" (Referring to his armor) Law: " _Entertain me, Gladiator_ ~" and FGlad: "Show me the Law~" 😳 Pretty dumb, but to this day I'm still pretty bummed they just gave up on the in-battle banter feature completely instead of improving the voice acting and trying again.
Wellll, if we’re being honest Ive thought about some ships but not between too many characters! the story i think of is mostly between the wu-lin. (Though admittedly I have seen Shaman falling for someone and being exactly as you’ve described xD for the majority of the little writing I did she was hunting down her man lol) anyway-I always see the Tiandi as like the brave , main character trying to prove himself. Hes also in love with the princess where he comes from so he pushes himself to do well to impress her. I see JJ more as the Tiandi’s old uncle, and also as the warrior whos seen enough battles and isnt really interested in killing anyone. Rather, he prefers teaching life lessons while on the battle field. I see the male Zhanhu as like the studious best friend of the tiandi. And the female Zhanhu is sort of like the male, but shes in love with the tiandi. Nuxia ive always seen as the Princess herself! But no one actually knows its her because shes always hiding her face. And the Shaolin, I see as basically a seemingly crazy old coot who provides spiritual guidance to the young warriors.
I enjoyed this video! I don't ship any of the heroes per say but I do tend to craft stories about them inspired by other sources. My Kensei has a girl that he grew up with, a little Cloud/Tifa dynamic there and I like to think my Warden courted his bride like you do in Mount & Blade😁
Shaman and Centurion. i just imagine cent punching somone to the ground and shaman nearby is fangirling for him (kinda hopping on the spot with her hands covering her smile and excitement for the INCREDIBLIS!) but Cent turns around like a gentleman and lifts his arm as if to say ‘he’s all yours’ and shaman is shocked by his kindness but then with a laugh she ponches on the downed enemy to get her bite😂

Astrea in the 24/7 Yuletide on last years Christmas did mention some stuff up on Gryphon. -She swiped right on a dating app for him -She admitted he doesn’t last long. -And he called her mommy despite needing to ask to call her that. So Astrea X Holden Cross May be Canon. But take it with a grain of salt.

Male BP and Female Conqueror BP, a being who will break oaths whenever and wherever necessary, having an oath to redeem and protect his love who he believes was wrongfully condemned for crimes she either did not commit or with charges that was heavily leveed against her in an unfair court by a noble who hated that he could not have her. The Conq trains daily and fights hard for her freedom while growing to appreciate and eventually love the Black Prior who always has her back. BTW this isnt something i pulled out my ass, thats just raw lore between my Conq and BP.
Warlord and female Kensei. Both are leaders. Both fight to protect their people and homelands. Both are sick of the shit they deal with on a daily basis and in the quiet moments, find comfort in each other away from their responsibilities and obligations.
Okay, so its obvious that I Main Centurion, and ships have come across my mind, although I try not to linger on them. I am of the opinion that the Centurion is one of those Heroes that you can ship with anyone and it will make sense like Warden and Nobushi. So I will share 8 ships I thought were ideal for him personally. Peacekeeper - Mostly due to Zanny's Roman Lore. Fem Gladiator - Both are from the Roman Empire but from two distinct groups such as Cent being a soldier for the Empire, going to war to assist the Knights, while Glads are Entertainers within the Arenas, joining as paid mercenaries. Fem Berserker - Mostly due to the Tempest Season with the Berserker overpowering the Centurion (both are confirmed to be part specific Heroes of Chimera and Horkos respectively). Both are pretty offensive Heroes regardless, and have issues for setting up their defense Fem Jormungandr - Similar Reasons as Raven Stated plus the added fact both were meant to be Stamina Bullies from their original concept. Nobushi - Both being Hybrids with Assassin/Vangaurd traits, with one focusing on its up close mix-ups and bashes to take down their opponents, with other focusing on its zoning advantages and bleed prock. Fem Shinobi - Released during the same Season of Shadow and Might with the Shinobi being the exact opposite to the Centurion in many ways. Both also had their own Cutscenes at one point, and received major reworks over the course of the game. Fem Tiandi - Both hail from Great Empires from the East and West, with a slightly similar fighting style (in terms of choreography) such as using a single blade, with a mix of punches and kicks. Nuxia - Both are meant to be Mix-Up Intensive Heroes, with one cleary being a fan favorite of the game to the point that many of the Heroes issues got the attention needed, and the other being heavily underrated, still waiting for its chance to get some of that same attention. The reason there was no Outlanders is because most of these were thought of before the existence of said Heroes and I don't really ship often.
My first and main ship has been Cent x Valk, both stand a bit apart from their allies. They always seemed like a natural couple if they'd spent time together Otherwise I actually agree about Warmom and Gryphon but I got a step further with it being Astrea and Holden himself. Despite everything Holden still misses Apollyon and Astrea is similar but also not as committed to the War thing and Astrea sees Holden as one of the mightiest warriors in the land, having fought and led for so many years and he's still manhandling warriors half his age I wrote a whole short fic that followed them both after the Battle of the Eclipse, ending up exhausted and spending a night in ruined keep together,too worn out for fighting they end up treating their cuts and bruises and when they notice each other looking....things get hot and heavy, spending a passionate night together with Astrea leaving before Holden wakes, leaving him with a keepsake behind and unknown to both she'd gotten pregnant, explaining the lul in fighting post Eclipse. There's a bunch more but that's the basic idea

Personally I ship Centurion and Valkyrie, as both are elite pillars of their forces, who infuse them with inspiration and fervor for battle. I adore the idea of this pair of figures of leadership encountering each other on the battlefield and getting into a fierce duel while all the people around them kind of...stop and circle them in a mosh pit of sorts just marvelling at the spectacle. This can happen multiple times and over the course of their encounters they grow a respect for each other, maybe a bit of a rivalry, turning it into a bit of a play thing, that blooms into romance. But quite enjoy your pairings as well... Particularly the Zhan Hu and Shaman one. You may say it is stupid, but it it adorable stupid and I ship it!
I once tried to write a fanfiction setting in For Honor And titled it "(LOVE) TALES OF HEATHMOR" although I would change it to "Astrid and Adele" later It was about a forbidden romance story with a Peacekeeper and a standard valkenhein girl as lovebirds protagonists. It was bad... and I couldn't keep up cuz I'm lazy and can't write for too long I've a crapy introduction chapter for Astrid, which I still have saved, and a quite good introduction for Adele, which I lost... I tried restarting it, but i simply can't, lazyness is more powerful than me. If anyone out there wants to take my idea and actually make something good, reply to me and I'll pass you a character book for both girls

Well first thanks, that was such a stupidly fun video! But my shugoki cry to be alone so... I will pair him with nuxia. The size diff make Shugoki all shy, barely daring to touch her, fearing to hurt the poor smal Nuxia with something as simple as hugg. (And we know how much shugo live hugh^^). On her side Nuxia is a strong woman, but I see her kinda patient, waiting for Shugo to come to her, being the kind of gf taping her laps with a smile and saying "Come here". Also I completly see her defending her relation when Shugo just endure mockery from other. Size diff but a lovely couple I think🥰
The Raider has the love of the clan and the spark of the gods, Warlord has the respect for his duty as the shield of his people, and Valkyries have the reverence for fighting to redeem others. Highlander has the peaceful, rewarding life up north (probably as a shepherd or something) and Jorm has zealous faith in the gods. Shaman is… Shaman. Everyone has something. Except the Berserker. The Berserker has nothing but two axes and pent-up anger. He fights more ferociously than any other, because that’s the only thing that will make the others tolerate him. He has no family or clan to be a part of. He has no home other than the vast, empty forests. (Mentioned in Berserker’s gameplay trailer) He only shows rage because it’s the only thing he’s ever known. It’s the only thing any other Viking will accept. The reason he doesn’t seem to feel pain (demonstrated by his constant hyperarmor) is because it’s the only thing anyone has given him. The reason he’s so much more fearless than the others is because he doesn’t have anything to live for and protect. In the words of a wise scholar from another game: “Beneath bloodlust and fury, there is emptiness, and shame.” But now, in a time of relative peace, there is no time or place for bloodlust and fury. What else remains? The wars are over. There is no glory, no clan, nothing. He saunters through the thick brush and forestry of the Myre, staring at the ground. While his gaze is focused downward, his ears listen. He doesn’t bother looking back. The group he was with doesn’t want him around, and he doesn’t want to be around. They only tolerated him because of his skills with the axe. But now, he walks into the wild. The only place where he didn’t feel… unwelcome. The gentle sound of leaves rustling in the wind soothes his unquiet mind. Though this forest is unfamiliar and warmer than he’s used to, with unrecognizable trees, the leaves are a welcome sound, almost like formless windchimes. He enjoys the rustling tune as he wanders farther and farther. Eventually, the flowing, yet thunderous noise starts to drown it out. He snaps out of his daydream, and shifts his gaze from the ground, to the large flowing river in front of him, with a waterfall downstream causing the noise. He feels around his back until his hand wraps around his near-empty waterskin. He kneels down, and he submerges his waterskin in the refreshingly frigid water. As his waterskin fills, he looks at his shaky reflection in the river. A pair of miserable eyes, poorly hidden behind a steel mask, stare back at him. He can see it frown underneath the itchy and messy beard. He pauses. He removes his mask, and YEETs it into the river, where it quickly sinks to the bottom, never to be seen again. … The Berserker sighs, pulls his waterskin out of the river, and gets back onto his feet. He turns around, and sees a wooden mask right in his face. The Berserker yelps and falls backward, splashing into the river. He quickly emerges, sitting on the bottom of the shallow side of the river. He looks up. In front of his stands a woman wearing long, light colored robes, with a basket on her head, and a wooden mask covering her face. A Nobushi. She was part of his group, but he barely talked to her. He barely talked to anyone. Her playful giggles are muffled by her mask. The Berserker can see her smug smirk, even underneath her mask. Embarrassed, he grumbles and gets out of the water. “What do you want?” He says. He’s only ever approached when someone wants someone else dead. “I wish to speak with you, Gunter.” She states. “Why? How do you know my name?” The Berserker asks. “I was curious, so I asked around. Our Warlord told me you were Gunter.” She answered. “Did he tell you to come fetch me? I’m not going back there.” He asserts, crossing his arms and sitting down. “Oh, no. Nothing like that.” She sits. “I have to ask, Gunter, do you remember me?” “No. I don’t.” He states. “Ah, well, let me remind you. I fought with you at the Sanctuary Bridge.” She looks up at the sky as she remembers. “You saved my life, remember?” “I… don’t.” Gunter says. She giggles in response. “That doesn’t surprise me. You didn’t even look at me, and you ran off before I even had time to thank you.” “I probably wasn’t all “there” when it happened.” He admits. “I understand. The heat of battle, and everything else.” She says. “You just went to help the Lawbringer.” Gunter grumbles. “I don’t like talking about battle.” He mumbles. The Nobushi pauses. She looks at Gunter as he blankly stares at the river. She sighs. “I saw you throw your mask.” She says, as she takes off her own. “I think I know why.” An awkward silence persists for a few seconds. “You uh… got a name?” Gunter asks. She smiles. “Aoi.”
Afeera and male shinobi, their romance would begin in a normal battle the afeera would be in samurai territory and she would meet the shinobi the two would start fighting and so they would realize that their fighting style is very similar the two would ending the fight in a draw and thus a rivalry between them would begin, a romance full of defeats and revenge until the two realize that they love each other
I was drawn to concur because fighting style and weapon. I learn the lore because I’m a huge nerd. I thought to myself yeah, back in the day you rather have penile battalions ( criminal) then just kill them. Because hey, that’s one more meat shield on side. to find out what his crime was, and haven’t found anything from a legitimate source so, his crime could’ve been something minuscule, or just made a wrong Lord angry. So I felt bad for him, and I like the paring you gave him. The one sinking redemption falls in love with the redeemer.
Especially for the Conqueror- the flail is as dangerous to the wielder as it is to the enemy, especially in as untrained hands as his. When he steps in to intervene, imagine him dropping the flail and taking up her spear, instead.
For me? Afeera and Warden are kinda my interest for this valentines day. Maybe it's because both are supposed to be the epitome of honor and devotion of their respective orders and religions, Christianity/Catholicism (I don't know if there still is a protestant schism in For Honor world) and Islam (again, don't know what sect the Afeera follow; though if I *had* to guess; I think Shi'i). The more recent Lore dumps indicate the Afeera choose to remain in Ashfeld/Heathmore in order to help the people and also teach them wisdom and honor (sounds an awful lot like Wardens and Knights don't you think?) But I could easily see the sort of thing happening; and like Raven, maybe it's because I've always held a fascination with the middle east and Iran in particular given how Western its culture was before the Revolution... and arguably still is despite the efforts of the Mullah's, but Warden and Afeera would be an interesting ship imo. Damn... I really wouldn't mind seeing like a GOT or LOTR's esq mini-series with a chosen hero or two from each faction being forced to work together to defeat the Harbingers of War and Astrea... Like Warden (probably a younger one that doesn't remember a time before the age of wolves) and Gryphon (Holden himself perhaps) for the knights, Warlord and Highlander for Vikings, Kensie and Orochi for the Samurai, and then Medjay and Afeera for the outlanders. I think I could jury rig a script for an episode or two if I put my mind to it. Let me know what you guys think.
I have an interesting ship proposal: Female Warden and Male Orochi. Leaping Stab and Face Punching Centurion. *Orderly and Balanced.* Yes, I'm still salty about Cent's whole existence. EDIT: I also wish to add my own ships: Female Orochi and Female Kensei; now hear me out, I always like reading these "Rich married woman falls for her loyal bodyguard" it's got that lovely taste of forbidden love, both because uh, lesbians before human rights were a sort of hip and cool thing to support. Also because the Orochi is just kind of a sworn sword, while Kensei is like the best of the best. Warden of either gender, Warmonger, and Female Black Prior(WITH HAIR); once again, a forbidden romance trope paired with a literal seduction to the dark side, or light side depending on the party. NOTE; Polyamorous, not Polygamous, because harems are stupid, there's only so far a person can stretch themselves in a 7 day week. Female Raider and Male Shinobi or Kyoshin because the image of the two smallest male characters being carried princess style is hilarious to me. Finally; Female Kensei and Male Kensei; a pair of unwillingly betrothed people learning to live with each other and maybe love later on. Eh, if not the kids are a good method of dodging divorce.
I would like to say I feel Cen and Val would be a solid couple too, I feel there is a dynamic between two strong warriors one with means to dominate for control while the other one with the desire to be dominated but she isn't weak screams volumes to me. Centurion who is one to not fall in battle could've lost their way and almost fallen only for a Valkyrie who secretly loved them saved them only to ruin the Centurion's pride, but over time these two warriors connect defending one another, the pride growing into a connection as the two fall in love. Not to mention Val also trips enemies making Centurion's bite that much more appealing for these two to connect.
Here me out. Medjay and Pirate. I could easily see a Medjay having to constantly having a get Pirate out of bad situations and deal with her shit 25/8. He wouldn't admit it but he REALLY cares about her and concerned for her safety. Pirate on the other hand normally causes trouble, but I couldn't imagine her doing a lot of it for his attention.
My Otp? Male Black Prior and Shaman. Black Prior strikes me as immensely patient and resentful/ashamed of their past and when looking upon a Shaman they would see a lost soul in need of help and guidance. As a way to atone for the Black Priors past mistakes and failures, instead of devoting themselves to an idea, they would devote themselves to helping Shaman regain her sanity.
Male BP and Warmonger: the “Gomez and Morticia Addams” of For Honor, but with more dominator/dominatrix vibes behind closed doors. They are definitely into BDSM and have a vast smut dungeon. They’re a couple you don’t wanna piss off cuz they’ll cut you down and laugh about it while doing so

So one of the kind of meme builds I've made for my characters is the muffin man and his wife. This happens to be my third load out of my shygoki and my second load out on nobushi granted that there is a way to make shouldkoki look like a warrior baker so it does work and if someone being as gentle and kind looking as nobu you could see her picking out berries and stuff for the muffins that he makes. I may sometime in the future expand the muffin man creative outfits with the other factions
I liked to pair (male) Jormungander with Shaman just to imagine their interactions entirely made up of snarls, growls, and grunts, then a couple of years later a baby pops out and that's how Berserkers are made. I just picture the relationship like a National Geographic episode.

So the Warden goes to dinner at his Nobushi girlfriend's house. Meet her family!
-Her father, a strict but loving Daimyo Kensei who seems doubtful of her Knight boyfriend, but trusts her judgement in this. Still gives him the shovel talk by explaining seppuku and stating that he will force Warden to commit it should he harm his daughter. The protective anime dad.
-Her uncle. Imagine if Uncle Iroh was a Shugoki! Greets her by scooping her up and spinning her around (she will always be his little niece no matter how old she gets). Greets Warden by giving him a crushing hug and a whispered threat to not break her heart or else! But is afterwards very chill and wise towards Warden. And yes, he is obsessed with tea.
-Her twin brother Orochi. Apparently he is constantly training to hone his skills. If each Orochi is a match for 100 enemies, then he is determined to be the match for 1000! Apparently, there is a stain on their family's honor that he is set on redeeming them for. Demands a spar with the Warden to determine if he is worthy of her and could protect her (no matter how skilled she is, she's still his sister).
-And watching the family from the shadows, is the oldest brother. A banished Aramusha. Cast out from both his society and his family for slaying his master. Even if he was a corrupt and cruel Daimyo, murder is still murder. He regrets his actions and how his family has suffered for it.
He observes the Warden eating with his family. He doesn't hate knights. Heck, two of his new best friends are a Conqueror and a (cute) Black Prior who all bonded together over their desire for redemption! As he watches, he nods in approval. His little sister chose well.
Still going to keep an eye on the Warden from the shadows. He still has an older brother's protective instincts!

This is more of a bromance rather than a romance, but I see gladiator and centurion being great friends and gladiator, even serving as a wingman to Centurion all gladiator isn’t really focusing on romance too much. It’s on their mind, but they would rather fall in love with the arena and the roar of the crowd.
Now this one I always thought of because I have no idea why, but Aramusha and Kensei one has a dead boss the other is a boss (sorry if I got that wrong) I imagine it has a sort of forbid in love, since they’re both on very opposite ends of the hierarchy

Rewatching this, I had a mental image for Afeera and Centurion. Beyond the obvious historical parallels such as Cleopatra and Caesar, there's this other dynamic that I enjoy thinking about
Afeera is a scholar, who "Learns the arts and sciences" before they ever pick up a weapon. She's a tactician and a scout, chasing after old artifacts, studying histories, and trying to plan everything out.
Whereas Centurion I feel would be the complete opposite. He's an officer and leader, kinda like her, but he's refined his craft to more of pointing at an enemy, and yelling, "Let's get them!." While she studies the history, he'd be telling her of all of HIS tales of glory and battle, all of which sound too preposterous to be true. . . until she learns from reading about it that he was being entirely truthful.
She's the kind of person to study for weeks on end to get something right on a test. He's the kind of person to just instinctively get it right without ever figuring out how. And he thinks he's so great for it and it drives her insane.
I remember seeing a fanfic a few years ago about an alternate ending to the story mode, where instead of Apollyon succeeding in getting all of the Knights, Vikings, and Samurai to fight each other, they instead unite against the Black Legion and ended the war before it started. They had a huge banquet and the Warden and Nobushi, got married and had a child which led to a strong union between the Knights and Samurai while the Vikings were also cool with everyone especially since they got some supplies to make up for the ones that got destroyed by Apollyon

I used to ship Lawbringer and Peacekeeper as well when I started playing For Honor, specifically *my* Law Bringer and Peacekeeper and pictured them with that same dynamic you described (more or less).
There are so many good combinations with these characters. A random one that I'm personally digging right now is Medjay and Shaman. I like the idea of Shaman seeing Medjay's weapon break into two for the first time and being so enamored by it that she follows him around.
I absolutely love every single one of these and honestly if I had time and talent, I would make an animation for this, I love what time and effort you put into the stuff you make, happy valentines day raven, also my ship is between my warden Starix and my shaman with no name yet, a reverse role situation as well: a brutal and savage warden yet the shaman is more of a refined warrior, it's odd I know but hey, fun for me (side note I'd go into more detail of the characters but I'd waste a lot of time doing so , apologies)

Warden x Nobushi pairing makes sense, considering both are meant to help those in need.
The Warden is the archetypal Knight in Shining Armor and the Nobushi protect the villages far from the fortresses.
There are two fan arts of this that I really love
1st: It’s a picture of Nobushi teaching Japanese to the Warden, showing Warden’s desire to learn and understand other cultures, and Nobushi being kind enough to teach him
The 2nd one is a bit goofy, but that’s why I love it so much
Warden is sitting on the ground with his legs crossed, a bit embarrassed and flustered, while Nobushi, standing on a tree trunk behind Warden, places a flower crown on his head with a smile

I like this video. Kinda reminds you that all the characters you see, regardless of background or ethnicity, are still fundamentally people. People have desires, dreams, and many of them don't revolve around the battlefield. After all, as the saying goes, soldiers do not fight because they hate what is in front of them, but because of what they love behind them. Even in a world as scarred and bloodied as For Honors, love, kindness, and friendship persist despite the cruelty and violence.

I've always been a Warden x Kensei person. Both heroes in lore have a strong sense of responsibility and code, being upkeepers of peace and protectors of their people. But also share the pressures that come with these responsibilities that cause so many of their kind to fall from grace. I think they'd find relatablity in that and form a strong bond over it, perhaps one that is not overtly romantic, but one of compassion and understanding. Yet, one that rivals their devotions to their codes.
My thing with Warden, was the focus on the Warden from the campaign, the way he almost tries to help EVERYONE
Not just Ashfeld, but how he turns his back on the Blackstone Legion because he can’t forgive the way they attacked the Vikings, he can’t forgive the way they treated people who were just trying to live their lives
And how he ultimately enlists the Emperor’s Champion to help defeat Apollyon
That Warden took it upon himself to make peace with the other factions, he greatly respected both, offering alliance with the samurai, giving Gudmundr his sword so he could send the Warlord to Valhalla
It always felt like the Wardens weren’t guardians of Ashfeld, but rather, defenders of Heathmoor in general
It’s also worth noting that when you’re going through the story, there will be odd moments where characters from rival factions can’t understand each other, because when playing from one side’s perspective, the other speaks a language unfamiliar to the hero you play as (like how Raider heard the Kensei speaking Japanese or Valkyrie said she doesn’t speak Japanese)
That’s never an issue with Warden, he speaks clearly to everyone, meaning he probably learned all the languages and knows how to communicate
I think the shaman x zhanhu would be even funnier if zhanhu would make some fireworks/explosives and shaman just dies of laughter seeing while they explode

Centurion and Nobushi. A balance the soft kind touch of Nobushi contrasted with the hard hitting way of Centurion. This one being a bit like how my GF and I are when it comes to pets. I'm one of a clear structure and of clear rules. She's more lax and I'm able to be more relaxed around her as I provide an anchor for her emotionally. I can honestly see this for the Nobushi and Centurion ship.

Wellll, if we’re being honest Ive thought about some ships but not between too many characters! the story i think of is mostly between the wu-lin. (Though admittedly I have seen Shaman falling for someone and being exactly as you’ve described xD for the majority of the little writing I did she was hunting down her man lol) anyway-I always see the Tiandi as like the brave , main character trying to prove himself. Hes also in love with the princess where he comes from so he pushes himself to do well to impress her. I see JJ more as the Tiandi’s old uncle, and also as the warrior whos seen enough battles and isnt really interested in killing anyone. Rather, he prefers teaching life lessons while on the battle field. I see the male Zhanhu as like the studious best friend of the tiandi. And the female Zhanhu is sort of like the male, but shes in love with the tiandi. Nuxia ive always seen as the Princess herself! But no one actually knows its her because shes always hiding her face. And the Shaolin, I see as basically a seemingly crazy old coot who provides spiritual guidance to the young warriors.
I enjoyed this video! I don't ship any of the heroes per say but I do tend to craft stories about them inspired by other sources. My Kensei has a girl that he grew up with, a little Cloud/Tifa dynamic there and I like to think my Warden courted his bride like you do in Mount & Blade😁
Shaman and Centurion. i just imagine cent punching somone to the ground and shaman nearby is fangirling for him (kinda hopping on the spot with her hands covering her smile and excitement for the INCREDIBLIS!) but Cent turns around like a gentleman and lifts his arm as if to say ‘he’s all yours’ and shaman is shocked by his kindness but then with a laugh she ponches on the downed enemy to get her bite😂

BP, a being who will break oaths whenever and wherever necessary, having an oath to redeem and protect his love who he believes was wrongfully condemned for crimes she either did not commit or with charges that was heavily leveed against her in an unfair court by a noble who hated that he could not have her. The Conq trains daily and fights hard for her freedom while growing to appreciate and eventually love the Black Prior who always has her back.
BTW this isnt something i pulled out my ass, thats just raw lore between my Conq and BP.
Warlord and female Kensei. Both are leaders. Both fight to protect their people and homelands. Both are sick of the shit they deal with on a daily basis and in the quiet moments, find comfort in each other away from their responsibilities and obligations.
Obviously, Cent and Peacekeeper must be together.

Okay, so its obvious that I Main Centurion, and ships have come across my mind, although I try not to linger on them. I am of the opinion that the Centurion is one of those Heroes that you can ship with anyone and it will make sense like Warden and Nobushi. So I will share 8 ships I thought were ideal for him personally.
Peacekeeper - Mostly due to Zanny's Roman Lore.
Fem Gladiator - Both are from the Roman Empire but from two distinct groups such as Cent being a soldier for the Empire, going to war to assist the Knights, while Glads are Entertainers within the Arenas, joining as paid mercenaries.
Fem Berserker - Mostly due to the Tempest Season with the Berserker overpowering the Centurion (both are confirmed to be part specific Heroes of Chimera and Horkos respectively). Both are pretty offensive Heroes regardless, and have issues for setting up their defense
Fem Jormungandr - Similar Reasons as Raven Stated plus the added fact both were meant to be Stamina Bullies from their original concept.
Nobushi - Both being Hybrids with Assassin/Vangaurd traits, with one focusing on its up close mix-ups and bashes to take down their opponents, with other focusing on its zoning advantages and bleed prock.
Fem Shinobi - Released during the same Season of Shadow and Might with the Shinobi being the exact opposite to the Centurion in many ways. Both also had their own Cutscenes at one point, and received major reworks over the course of the game.
Fem Tiandi - Both hail from Great Empires from the East and West, with a slightly similar fighting style (in terms of choreography) such as using a single blade, with a mix of punches and kicks.
Nuxia - Both are meant to be Mix-Up Intensive Heroes, with one cleary being a fan favorite of the game to the point that many of the Heroes issues got the attention needed, and the other being heavily underrated, still waiting for its chance to get some of that same attention.
The reason there was no Outlanders is because most of these were thought of before the existence of said Heroes and I don't really ship often.

My first and main ship has been Cent x Valk, both stand a bit apart from their allies. They always seemed like a natural couple if they'd spent time together
Otherwise I actually agree about Warmom and Gryphon but I got a step further with it being Astrea and Holden himself. Despite everything Holden still misses Apollyon and Astrea is similar but also not as committed to the War thing and Astrea sees Holden as one of the mightiest warriors in the land, having fought and led for so many years and he's still manhandling warriors half his age
I wrote a whole short fic that followed them both after the Battle of the Eclipse, ending up exhausted and spending a night in ruined keep together,too worn out for fighting they end up treating their cuts and bruises and when they notice each other looking....things get hot and heavy, spending a passionate night together with Astrea leaving before Holden wakes, leaving him with a keepsake behind and unknown to both she'd gotten pregnant, explaining the lul in fighting post Eclipse.

Personally I ship Centurion and Valkyrie, as both are elite pillars of their forces, who infuse them with inspiration and fervor for battle. I adore the idea of this pair of figures of leadership encountering each other on the battlefield and getting into a fierce duel while all the people around them kind of...stop and circle them in a mosh pit of sorts just marvelling at the spectacle. This can happen multiple times and over the course of their encounters they grow a respect for each other, maybe a bit of a rivalry, turning it into a bit of a play thing, that blooms into romance.
But quite enjoy your pairings as well... Particularly the Zhan Hu and Shaman one. You may say it is stupid, but it it adorable stupid and I ship it!

But my shugoki cry to be alone so... I will pair him with nuxia.
The size diff make Shugoki all shy, barely daring to touch her, fearing to hurt the poor smal Nuxia with something as simple as hugg. (And we know how much shugo live hugh^^). On her side Nuxia is a strong woman, but I see her kinda patient, waiting for Shugo to come to her, being the kind of gf taping her laps with a smile and saying "Come here".
Also I completly see her defending her relation when Shugo just endure mockery from other.

The Raider has the love of the clan and the spark of the gods, Warlord has the respect for his duty as the shield of his people, and Valkyries have the reverence for fighting to redeem others. Highlander has the peaceful, rewarding life up north (probably as a shepherd or something) and Jorm has zealous faith in the gods. Shaman is… Shaman. Everyone has something. Except the Berserker.
The Berserker has nothing but two axes and pent-up anger. He fights more ferociously than any other, because that’s the only thing that will make the others tolerate him. He has no family or clan to be a part of. He has no home other than the vast, empty forests. (Mentioned in Berserker’s gameplay trailer)
He only shows rage because it’s the only thing he’s ever known. It’s the only thing any other Viking will accept. The reason he doesn’t seem to feel pain (demonstrated by his constant hyperarmor) is because it’s the only thing anyone has given him. The reason he’s so much more fearless than the others is because he doesn’t have anything to live for and protect.
In the words of a wise scholar from another game: “Beneath bloodlust and fury, there is emptiness, and shame.” But now, in a time of relative peace, there is no time or place for bloodlust and fury. What else remains?
The wars are over. There is no glory, no clan, nothing.
He saunters through the thick brush and forestry of the Myre, staring at the ground. While his gaze is focused downward, his ears listen.
He doesn’t bother looking back. The group he was with doesn’t want him around, and he doesn’t want to be around. They only tolerated him because of his skills with the axe. But now, he walks into the wild. The only place where he didn’t feel… unwelcome.
The gentle sound of leaves rustling in the wind soothes his unquiet mind. Though this forest is unfamiliar and warmer than he’s used to, with unrecognizable trees, the leaves are a welcome sound, almost like formless windchimes.
He enjoys the rustling tune as he wanders farther and farther. Eventually, the flowing, yet thunderous noise starts to drown it out. He snaps out of his daydream, and shifts his gaze from the ground, to the large flowing river in front of him, with a waterfall downstream causing the noise. He feels around his back until his hand wraps around his near-empty waterskin.
He kneels down, and he submerges his waterskin in the refreshingly frigid water. As his waterskin fills, he looks at his shaky reflection in the river.
A pair of miserable eyes, poorly hidden behind a steel mask, stare back at him. He can see it frown underneath the itchy and messy beard. He pauses. He removes his mask, and YEETs it into the river, where it quickly sinks to the bottom, never to be seen again.
…
The Berserker sighs, pulls his waterskin out of the river, and gets back onto his feet. He turns around, and sees a wooden mask right in his face.
The Berserker yelps and falls backward, splashing into the river.
He quickly emerges, sitting on the bottom of the shallow side of the river.
He looks up.
In front of his stands a woman wearing long, light colored robes, with a basket on her head, and a wooden mask covering her face.
A Nobushi. She was part of his group, but he barely talked to her. He barely talked to anyone.
Her playful giggles are muffled by her mask. The Berserker can see her smug smirk, even underneath her mask. Embarrassed, he grumbles and gets out of the water.
“What do you want?” He says. He’s only ever approached when someone wants someone else dead.
“I wish to speak with you, Gunter.” She states.
“Why? How do you know my name?” The Berserker asks.
“I was curious, so I asked around. Our Warlord told me you were Gunter.” She answered.
“Did he tell you to come fetch me? I’m not going back there.” He asserts, crossing his arms and sitting down.
“Oh, no. Nothing like that.” She sits. “I have to ask, Gunter, do you remember me?”
“No. I don’t.” He states.
“Ah, well, let me remind you. I fought with you at the Sanctuary Bridge.” She looks up at the sky as she remembers. “You saved my life, remember?”
“I… don’t.” Gunter says.
She giggles in response. “That doesn’t surprise me. You didn’t even look at me, and you ran off before I even had time to thank you.”
“I probably wasn’t all “there” when it happened.” He admits.
“I understand. The heat of battle, and everything else.” She says. “You just went to help the Lawbringer.”
Gunter grumbles.
“I don’t like talking about battle.” He mumbles.
The Nobushi pauses. She looks at Gunter as he blankly stares at the river. She sighs.
“I saw you throw your mask.” She says, as she takes off her own. “I think I know why.”
An awkward silence persists for a few seconds.
“You uh… got a name?” Gunter asks.
She smiles. “Aoi.”
That is a kind and sweet story. I ship my Warden Arthur with my nobushi Akane

Afeera and male shinobi, their romance would begin in a normal battle the afeera would be in samurai territory and she would meet the shinobi the two would start fighting and so they would realize that their fighting style is very similar the two would ending the fight in a draw and thus a rivalry between them would begin, a romance full of defeats and revenge until the two realize that they love each other

I was drawn to concur because fighting style and weapon. I learn the lore because I’m a huge nerd. I thought to myself yeah, back in the day you rather have penile battalions ( criminal) then just kill them. Because hey, that’s one more meat shield on side. to find out what his crime was, and haven’t found anything from a legitimate source so, his crime could’ve been something minuscule, or just made a wrong Lord angry. So I felt bad for him, and I like the paring you gave him. The one sinking redemption falls in love with the redeemer.

Especially for the Conqueror- the flail is as dangerous to the wielder as it is to the enemy, especially in as untrained hands as his. When he steps in to intervene, imagine him dropping the flail and taking up her spear, instead.

Afeera and Warden are kinda my interest for this valentines day.
Maybe it's because both are supposed to be the epitome of honor and devotion of their respective orders and religions, Christianity/Catholicism (I don't know if there still is a protestant schism in For Honor world) and Islam (again, don't know what sect the Afeera follow; though if I *had* to guess; I think Shi'i).
The more recent Lore dumps indicate the Afeera choose to remain in Ashfeld/Heathmore in order to help the people and also teach them wisdom and honor (sounds an awful lot like Wardens and Knights don't you think?)
But I could easily see the sort of thing happening; and like Raven, maybe it's because I've always held a fascination with the middle east and Iran in particular given how Western its culture was before the Revolution... and arguably still is despite the efforts of the Mullah's, but Warden and Afeera would be an interesting ship imo.
Damn... I really wouldn't mind seeing like a GOT or LOTR's esq mini-series with a chosen hero or two from each faction being forced to work together to defeat the Harbingers of War and Astrea... Like Warden (probably a younger one that doesn't remember a time before the age of wolves) and Gryphon (Holden himself perhaps) for the knights, Warlord and Highlander for Vikings, Kensie and Orochi for the Samurai, and then Medjay and Afeera for the outlanders.
I think I could jury rig a script for an episode or two if I put my mind to it.

I have an interesting ship proposal: Female Warden and Male Orochi. NOW HERE ME OUT:
Male Orochi: Samurai that deals death to his foes, and is loyal completely to his lord, being completely merciless to his enemies.
Female Warden: Shares the loyalty, but is also very merciful, and is more honorable and righteous, fighting for her people and her lands.

Female Orochi and Female Kensei; now hear me out, I always like reading these "Rich married woman falls for her loyal bodyguard" it's got that lovely taste of forbidden love, both because uh, lesbians before human rights were a sort of hip and cool thing to support. Also because the Orochi is just kind of a sworn sword, while Kensei is like the best of the best.
Warden of either gender, Warmonger, and Female Black Prior(WITH HAIR); once again, a forbidden romance trope paired with a literal seduction to the dark side, or light side depending on the party. NOTE; Polyamorous, not Polygamous, because harems are stupid, there's only so far a person can stretch themselves in a 7 day week.
Female Raider and Male Shinobi or Kyoshin because the image of the two smallest male characters being carried princess style is hilarious to me.
Finally; Female Kensei and Male Kensei; a pair of unwillingly betrothed people learning to live with each other and maybe love later on. Eh, if not the kids are a good method of dodging divorce.

I would like to say I feel Cen and Val would be a solid couple too, I feel there is a dynamic between two strong warriors one with means to dominate for control while the other one with the desire to be dominated but she isn't weak screams volumes to me. Centurion who is one to not fall in battle could've lost their way and almost fallen only for a Valkyrie who secretly loved them saved them only to ruin the Centurion's pride, but over time these two warriors connect defending one another, the pride growing into a connection as the two fall in love. Not to mention Val also trips enemies making Centurion's bite that much more appealing for these two to connect.

Here me out. Medjay and Pirate. I could easily see a Medjay having to constantly having a get Pirate out of bad situations and deal with her shit 25/8. He wouldn't admit it but he REALLY cares about her and concerned for her safety. Pirate on the other hand normally causes trouble, but I couldn't imagine her doing a lot of it for his attention.

My Otp? Male Black Prior and Shaman. Black Prior strikes me as immensely patient and resentful/ashamed of their past and when looking upon a Shaman they would see a lost soul in need of help and guidance. As a way to atone for the Black Priors past mistakes and failures, instead of devoting themselves to an idea, they would devote themselves to helping Shaman regain her sanity.

So one of the kind of meme builds I've made for my characters is the muffin man and his wife. This happens to be my third load out of my shygoki and my second load out on nobushi granted that there is a way to make shouldkoki look like a warrior baker so it does work and if someone being as gentle and kind looking as nobu you could see her picking out berries and stuff for the muffins that he makes. I may sometime in the future expand the muffin man creative outfits with the other factions
