Amazing job! Great message in this song 100% We are so unworthy but the Lord set us free! And because of that I will raise a Hallelujah! Love this song, great Job Troy love you bro
Steve, it’s all about the tone for me. Pain and difficulty aside, if I can effectively play something one way and it sounds better to my ear, I’ll always lean that way over taking the comfortable road. Basically, I think downstrokes sound better in this song. Personal preference, of course.
Hey Troy, if you watch the video of this songwhere Jonathan is explaining the meaning behind it, you can briefly see that the intro is actually played by two guitarists. I thought it was only one for a while but if you look carefully I believe Jonathan Lee is vamping on the C# note while Michael pope hits the accented sus4. I definitely struggled with figuring out exactly how to play it and have my delay set for a while, but you killed it in this video great job man!
Matt Jones Yeah, there’s definitely two parts. Rehearsal Mix confirms that. But trying to blend them together was more difficult than usual. Usually, I can pick the best of both and make one part. Had to just stick with E1 on this one. Thanks for the compliment!
Are you not using alternate picking on the intro/verses? No wonder your forearm was blasted. I can't alternate pick for beans, but I try it on this anyway.
That simply isn't true. If you are consistent with your attack and muting, you will not notice any difference. Alternate picking for something like this does take practice. I play this with alternate picking and I promise you can too. Try it and practice a bit. It'll make a lot of your music easier to play.
Please continue to give those little words about the song and gospel. I have been blessed by your words and your content. Thanks brother
Glad to hear that, Shelby.
By far the best cover. Best energy. Makes me wanna blare my AC30
Thanks for this brother. Much love from Philippines ❤️ worth subscribing. 🔥
😀 I'm definitely gonna learn to play this
Great preaching at the beginning of the video
There is unbridled power in this song! Great job Troy!!!
This is the exact video I needed. Was struggling figuring out some of those chorus chord shapes. Awesome playing and thank you for posting this.
Glad it was helpful, bro.
Thank you for this! We are playing this at our church revival this week!
Yes definitely a heart beat
Powerful song
Troy, your tone is always soooooooo good. And you should be playing for Bethel, Elevation, etc.
Thanks for the compliment, Nathaniel.

Can't wait for tomorrow!!
Great job! Love the tone. We played this song at church last Sunday. Such a good one.
Great video and song my friend, greetings from Barcelona
Been waiting for this one!!
tks - the different camera angles were great
Hope it was helpful.
@@GuitarforHISGlory played it Sun. at 3 services - tks
Awesome as always, my friend..
How in the world do you get that tone!! That sounds amazing! Your treble end sounds absolutely perfect! 😱😏😃👍
Malachi Skelly I have an entire website and course “Worship Guitar Boot Camp” that talks about that stuff. 👍🏻
@@GuitarforHISGlory Awesome, thanks man!
Great Troy. Yes, those down strokes are tiring. Up and down strokes work fine in this song and I believe that’s how Bethel do it.

Absolutely. Sometimes we suffer for our art!
Guitar for HIS Glory me too, I’ve tried both and downstrokes win, firearm loses.
Love your tone bro! greeting from Brazil.

Dang Troy, I caught myself head banging three quarters of the way through! So sweet! Thank you!
Great song!
Thanks man for this.
Yep
why only down strokes on the a string during the 2 verses? not up/down for some efficiency? does it give a different sound for you?
When possible, I choose the method that results in the best tone.
Very good videos. Keep up the great work. Awesome!
Thank you for the kind words, Bruce.

I don't like the tone from alternate picking. The attack is completely different. Tone > Comfort. LOL. 🎸 😂
I see why your forearm is hurting. Relax your arm and try alternate picking.
J T, alternate picking doesn’t produce the same tone. 👍🏻
