  • "Get Ready" is a Motown song written by Smokey Robinson, which resulted in two hit records for the label: a U.S. No. 29 version by The Temptations in 1966, and a U.S. No. 4 version by Rare Earth in 1970. Their 45 RPM single version sold in excess of a million U.S. copies, earning Rare Earth a Gold certification from the RIAA. (Wikipedia)

Same here, and a little older. There is STILL so much good music from the 50's through the 70's that I've never heard before. There is no reason for me to waste time with the synthetic garbage that's being put out there today and in recent years. Let them choke on Taylor Swift but I won't be me.

Song is the flow and the flow is one with the song. Strange how far removed from curtentusical trends. It not anything like not just just your grand parents music.

It's no longer the same mindset as we had in the 60s & early 70s, not that we don't have some fine players out there these days , you just have to search for them & like the old days get turned on to bands & players from friends as you just won't hear this music in full on any radio station even the ones you have to pay for. As a long time guitar player i would like to share a track i did back in my school days but didn't get to record it till 87 & on a 4 track Reel to Reel . Please give a listen if you would & feel free to leave me a comment . I have that old mindset still. ROCK ON !!!! ua-cam.com/video/RHj04fFTrZI/v-deo.html
