People literally experience racism daily in different places but the Instagram user wants them to stop talking about race. If we don't tackle the issues, we won't get anywhere.
@@krisannehowell5491 Okay an that's your thought not the commenter on the post she read. However, you're wrong anyway because they all provide opinions on race not just those two. Tf
Adrian has a past on being racist. Remember what she did to Naturi (from Power). Adrian never actually said what she did and why she was apologizing. It seems like she enjoyed reading that comment from the viewer. I don't care if she is married to a black maybe Hispanic man.
To me neither one was wrong! I see so many people talking about how she Jeanie cut Amanda off when people cut Jeanie off ALL THE TIME! I like that Amanda is educated and she brings the black power audience together BUT it’s just something about her demeanor I really don’t care for. Like she brings confrontational energy to the group. Yet this is not just with the other girls but everywhere she goes she is always fighting to be right and honestly could care less what anyone else has to say.
Exactly what I feel, people cut in other people's comments all the time on ALL talk shows, but some of us can easily put facts aside, when we want to make a point. I totally agree too, that Amanda is confrontational, and that is on every forum she has been.
Maya H I read the comments all the time and you could be more wrong! Black ppl and black women specifically ADORE Jeannie and LOVE the fact that she’s with a black man!

Loni: Finally feels she has a peer to relate Adrienne: just worry about her coins and being liked from everybody
Meaning they think that they have room to interject on our cultural issues and they're opinions are justified. But they need to stay in their lanes. Love who they love and let the experts (black people) speak on the societal issues that affect our daily experiences. Period.
Amanda is an educated strong black woman and was immensely needed on the show...specifically to eloquently articulate a lot of things we don't get a chance to say on a large platform. She rubs the people who are either not as bright or articulate enough to understand, or those who simply do not like strong women having an educated say on issues specifically and non-specifically related to our gender and culture.
I think she meant specifically for black people. Racism does somewhat contribute to mental health and high suicide rates among black youth but either way she had no business interrupting her
Angela Cooper you don’t think living in a time like that had an effect on black peoples mental health? Just because he didn’t fight for that doesn’t mean it isn’t relevant to the convo imo.
But they interrupt each other all the time and she was trying to add to what she was saying. And it's not what you say it's how you say it so Amanda could have said yes that's true but specifically about race and then continued speaking about what she was saying
@@angelacooper8973 I disagree because earlier in the clip she goes on a small tangent about how she spoke to her therapist about how to listen effectively and how it's kept her from being angry and blah, blah, blah...I think she was bringing the convo back around to that, but it wasn't the time.
The audacity and propensity to interrupt Black women when they're speaking is a feature of racism in this country. And everyone is made to feel free to do so in all spaces. At my big age I have been calling this out. At the moment I am being interrupted, I immediately say "I am still talking" or "are you interrupting me?" I am tired of the BS and I wish somebody would try to check me on my checking them about this ish.
Come on these girls have always interrupted each other and are met with different responses. How many times have Loni interrupted Adrienne and Adrienne responded directly to her whether she agreed with her or not. In a respectfully manner might I add. She never straight out ignores her. Don't turn on Jeanie because Amanda is on the show now. Everybody knows Jeannie has a big personality. I personally prefer it over Amanda's harsh presence. The show seems to be losing it's fun vibe.
I think so two, I stop watching the show because I got caught up in other things. And decided to check it out a couple days ago, and didn't like Amanda on it. I totally agree with you, I don't find it fun no more. It seems like the only one right now who is still been herself is Jeanie, Tamera looks like she's just there to be there, Adrienne is just following and Loni well it seems like she agree with everything Amanda says (I might be wrong) I don't think this show would last 2 more seasons with the new girl. That's my personal point of view. However read this comment I could care less if you agree with me or not so don't bother commenting because I shall keep moving. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Jeannie is always cutting her other hosts off whenever they speak on topics about race. She inserts lgbt or other issues in the discussion that has no relevancy to the topic at hand to me completely dismisses the topic at hand
I don't think they mesh well with each other. It's never a "friendly" discussion it's always one pushing their ideas on the other. Maybe Tamar was never the problem . I think this show is slowly running it's course.
Seeing this in 2024, I hope everyone is seeing Jeannie for who she really is. Also, shout to the commentator for peeping the toxicity of the producers and show runners.

Whenever black ppl speak about race especially publicly in this way.... They will try they best to vendor and control what you say or spin it if they can.... Sad it never fails
I feel like when race is brought into a conversation everyone wants to look the other way and try to change the subject by cutting off or interrupting instead of trying to understand and speak intelligently about it
I don’t think it was wrong to read that comment, it’s called “The Real” for a reason. You have to take the good with the bad sometimes. And they addressed it head on and I appreciate them doing that.
Yeah but they aren’t real. If you notice they tend to have rose colored glass view on everything. They can never see things for exactly what they are, and talking about it. For instance, they could be talking about a deadly thunderstorm and 3 out of 5 will say that it is “beautiful because God wanted to wash the earth in order to have a fresh start,” while the others will say that “the thunderstorm ravaged the city.” They do not like to call a spade a spade, and most of their viewers are the same say. They Tamara, andJeannie talk about peachy world of interracial dating but completely discuss racial relations on a superficial level.
As a black woman myself, I can't STAND how people are so quick to jump to Amanda's side, JUST because she was booted off the show . I HATE how everybody equates being RUDE with " keeping it real ". There are ways to express your opinion WITHOUT disrespecting others and if she's lived this long and don't know how to show respect, then GOOD RIDDANCE ! Stop treating this, like Amanda's opinion is the ONLY one that matters ! GROW UP, AMANDA ! You're not the only black woman that's been ousted out of a show . Maybe next time, SHOW RESPECT and you'll get respect back !
Amanda is starting to grow on me but at first I didn’t. However , it was very inappropriate and very distasteful for them to read that comment live. 🤦🏾♂️
Jeannie could’ve been saying something relevant. But either way, she didn’t need to cut Amanda off when she’s talking about something that’s she’s more educated about. I like that Amanda is on the show. She makes a great addition, and she’s honest. That being said, I don’t think they added her in hopes of creating tension between the hosts. I do think that reading that comment on tv was out of line. The hosts are all women of color. But I wonder if any of the producers are of color, especially given Loni’s reaction. I feel like concerns were probably already voiced about not reading that on tv, and that they went ahead and included it in the show anyway.
I love Jeannie, she’s is the smartest in that table, I’m glad Amanda left, she was rude and had to much attitude, because she study black history, doesn’t mean she’s always right
Jeannie is the smartest in that table...😆your so funny & your comment just make so many people laugh😆😅😂 Jeannie is the worst host on this show that’s just facts
I love Amanda being on the show, she brings a new perspective and articulates it in such an intelligent way. Jeannie's intentions are good, but sometimes I feel she doesn't want to acknowledge certain truths because she is comfortable in her optimistic bubble.
This was inevitable. Amanda’s passionate about her beliefs and will most definitely get her point across by any means. I don’t see this relationship lasting...Amanda on the show. She’s more “late night” or cable talk show host...
I think I’m the only one that thinks what the Asian lady said wasn’t out of pocket, completely irrelevant or even that deep regardless. Its a talk show, I don’t watch this talk show specifically but I assume the ladies bounce of each other in discussions? Like normal conversations? And even if m it didn’t seem intentional or malicious enough to criticize much. It’s was a civil rights movement and the fact that metal health is on the the decline from a time of explicit racism is note worthy. Racism and oppression have an effect on mental health. Also I don’t think it’s the same or has gotten worse from the 50s. A time of lynchings, segregation, and explicit racism to the racism we have today is definitely significantly better. What does a comment about mental health have to do with MLK/civil right movement. A lot imo. To go from a time where statistically lives have gotten better and better standard of living yet mental health os apparently declining. This isn’t about me disagreeing with her opinion I just don’t think it was purposefully disrespectful or all that irrelevant that the Jeanie lady interrupted. Maybe she does this a lot idk I don’t watch this show I just like this channel. Edit: I rewatched the clip and I can kinda see the rudeness a lil better.
Katrina Shelise I wasn’t talking about Amanda. Mostly this video and others with similar criticisms. Also it’s a talk show, in regular conversations and on other talk shows back and forths and interjections happens all the time. Not really of a disrespectful nature that’s just the energy and cadence of the conversation. Also someone else commented that the Jeanie lady gets interrupted regularly yet no one got mad about that🤷🏾♀️ idk if that’s tru, but if it’s is then why do people care now? also what she was interrupting about wasn’t irrelevant; race relations, racism, and oppression have detrimental mental health effects on the people targeted. And although that isn’t what DR king fought for I can’t imagine he would see it as a good thing that even tho things have gotten better, mental health is declining. I mostly still don’t see where it was out of pocket, (a lil, but not really) nor was it even all that irrelevant.
jeannie has always been the one they hush up for and listen. now there is a new voice in town and amanda is way more compelling when she speaks! jealous asf lol

This is how all topics around race are treated and it’s bullshit! I could say the same if the question really was about mental health or some other topic too! Let everyone have a say PERIOD. Jeanie wants to boast about dating a black man but then interrupts a conversation about an issue concerning people of color? So why you with a black man if you not ready to deal with ALL the issues that come with being a person of color? This is what bothers me about interracial dating. She challenges all the ladies on The Real to speak truthfully about the racism woven into the fabrics of our society. She’s awesome! The more people address this, and stop covering it up, the faster we can move forward as a society.

Angela Cooper you don’t think living in a time like that had an effect on black peoples mental health? Just because he didn’t fight for that doesn’t mean it isn’t relevant to the convo imo.

The audacity and propensity to interrupt Black women when they're speaking is a feature of racism in this country. And everyone is made to feel free to do so in all spaces.

Speaker is CLEARLY biased. She has issue with Jeannie personally. From this convo, it just looked like Jeannie was adding to it. Amanda was mostly correct, but she talks for soooo long sometimes, she forgets to let other people talk.
exactly...I hope she has the same energy when everyone else cuts Jeannie off ALL the time
Amanda made the show REAL AND SINCE SHE LEFT IWILL NOT WATCH THE FAKE1
She tried the "All Lives Matter" move.... girl bye.
Keep Amanda PLEASE!!!! The "REAL", needs some REAL TALK
I don’t think Jeanie was trying to “interrupt” and I feel like she was adding to Amanda’s list. Idk but I feel like Jeanie is alwwaayyysss being interrupted.
I don’t like Amanda on the show. I don’t like her demeanor and I feel it gives the whole cast a weird vibe.
Ditto
Agreed. Loni never lets Jeannie or Tamera finish a damn sentence and now with Amanda added it’s even worse. Amanda is the wrong fit for this show to continue having longevity. This show was light and fun and not crabby like some of the other talk shows,it’s like Amanda sucks the fun and air out of the room now she’s apart of the cast or something... idk, but since she’s joined I’ve hardly watched.
iheartsoftball13 STFU you’re apart of the problem
She should’ve “kept quiet and let a black woman speak”?
Jeannie should've waited till Amanda was done to input her comment or statements, it would've been more respectful to do so.
Yesss so happy someone is putting her in her place 👏🏾
I love Amanda Seales! She is the REAL deal! She's the reason,I started watching again after 3 yrs!
I love Amanda on the show. The other ladies are amazing as well! Not only does she speak boldly about racial issues, but she has the degrees to do so with conviction. She challenges all the ladies on The Real to speak truthfully about the racism woven into the fabrics of our society. She’s awesome! The more people address this, and stop covering it up, the faster we can move forward as a society.
YES!!!!
Not everything has to be about race I agree with the comment
Amanda wants to keep the victim mentality. Her voice and thoughts keep her followers in the same. I will love for her to have a debate with Candace Owens.
I do not believe Amanda Seals was brought on to "disrupt " or antagonize anyone. Amanda, as is all of the Real Ladies are HIGHLY INTELLIGENT and brings a different demographic to The Real. Jeanie, did speak out of turn and the same would have been said for anyone who would have done the same thing to her if she was speaking on a topic about her "people". The issues are, any one can be blogger and saying the producers want to start disruption, I hope is further from being accurate. Keep up the great conversation at The Real. Amanda, the viewers love you and if they don't there is this thing called A Remote that has a button you can use to, guess what, change the fkn channel. Stay Blessed.😉
Yeah but they always do that tho
All is okay. And yes, Mental Health is important. However, the topic is on MLK and race today. It deserves a discussion and its own segment.
I am ok with them reading the comment everything is sugar coated things. I love AMANDA!!!
I don't want to included...I want to be the topic...therefore I watch the Real on occasions.
yea lol amanda seals jus be extra for no reason. and its a group ass show so they always speak before someone is done. Mental health wasn't talked about back then but it is something today lol so thats why she spoke up
I loved Aba and Preach exposing Amanda😂
I love amanda they needed her on that show!!
Amanda is a great addition to this cast. I’m definitely here for her energy. ❤️
I thought she was too negative. She's a wealthy and famous black woman screaming about oppression 🙄. If you live in the United States and work hard NOBODY can hold you down. Check out Oprah, Venus and Serena Williams, Obama, Ben Carson and millions more. If you're a loser it's nobody's fault but YOURS.
She called a racist low key noble and lied about being sexually harassed.. she should be in jail
I love that Amanda Seales was added to The Real. Her introspective and controvertial commentary is necessary for this show. All of the other host like to make nice and not ruffle feathers.
None of them are real - except for Amanda!
2:48 to 2:51 should be a meme 🤣🤣 Amanda holding that coffee cup with that stupid face🤣
