Your suppose to put a piece of tape and then mark the hole. Drill over the tape. Also, put tape on the drill bit to measure the depth so you don't drill too far.
@@PradipDey-hd3zg I know they have special straps for ukuleles that have a clip that goes on the sound hole so you don’t have to drill any holes though. Just look up ukulele strap
please, please don't do this! You're asking for a split heel. If you must put a screw for the strap button in your guitar, then put it in the back of the heel. But if you have a quality guitar where you'd prefer not to comprimise the structural integrity; tie the strap to the head of the neck!
Ill be needing this idea for my acoustic guitar but would u mind if i ask what do you call that nail screw you put on the whole? Thanks! For replying 🙏
It’s called a strap button. It should come with the button and a screw when you buy one. And before that I made the hole with a drill bit that was a little smaller than the screw. Hope that helps!
Is it safe to drill the base of the guitar near the butt end, i have classic - electric guitae which have ports. I have doubts that it might damage the electrical components it if i drill it.
I hear you but I don’t like putting it behind I feel like it’s not as secure when I have the strap on. It’s been a long while and the guitar is still fine!
Looking at your hands and the way you handled the drill i thought you was 14. Rock on bro.
Lmao double that and some change! 😅 thanks though. I’m a teacher and other staff thinks I’m a student sometimes.

Useful tips 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Does that affect sound box ,nar it's quility of sound?
I don’t think so. It didn’t on this one
Thanks 😄
No problem! Thanks for watching 👏🏼
I almost got a heart attack
😂👏🏼
Is okay for tenor ukulele
I don’t see why it wouldn’t work 🤔
That's great. Thanks broo❤

That would disturb playing the higher frets 😅
It doesn’t disturb me 😬
Good point

I don’t think you’ll damage electronics. I also haven’t drilled on that side of a guitar yet so I wouldn’t know 😅
So many yoshi plushies. 😮😮😮
@MJ-e2q 😌
The person who I took it to to put on mine put in on the middle but it still works but it obviously doesn’t if you do the side facing you
There are different spots you can place it. I think it just depends on the guitar and your preference
What did I buy to install?
The strap button comes with a screw I just needed a drill to make the hole and drill the screw in
Why can't you use the ones with the string that ties around the headstock.
You can. I’ve done it but it doesn’t feel as secure. It works tho!
My eye!
lol no eye was hurt in the making of this video 👁️
OMG Not there my friend, that is wrong 😂😂😂

Not a good spot for a stap button. Your left hand will bump I when you play the high frets.
I’ve had it like that for a few months and it hasn’t bothered me yet. I guess it depends on how people play.
Yoshi
@TheOfficialDanielEspinoza yes
Doesn’t it damage or change the sound of the guitar if not done properly buy a professional?
I didn’t cause any damage to this one or change the tone of it. But to be fair it’s not a very expensive guitar so I wasn’t scared to try. 🤔
@@orlanbro Sweet man I would be too scared to try lol!
Did you try playing the Mario theme cause if did it was wrong
No lol it was just a little outro thing I came up with.
😅😅
😬
That was so irritating and so inflammatory to my eyes!
😬
