Prague, I am in LOVE. This was my first solo trip so far from home in a very long time and I was more nervous for this trip than any other, but Prague was so welcoming - from the ease of buying a bus ticket, to my friendly neighbor Vladimir, to the air itself smelling like a cinnamon sprinkled warm hug. I went expecting magic and really did find it (along with a few ghosts???) and really hope this vlog did the city justice. Thank you to all who came to the meet up - that was actually my favorite day of the trip and a wonderful way to say 'see you later' to the city because it is definitely not goodbye!! Love always!
if you really loved the city, come back in Summer or maybye early spring so you miss out on some of the tourists, but the city is so much more beatufil with all the greenery and light shining, summer nights are so beatufil and cozy, plus seeing the prague castle with the sun setting behind it from the river is just magical, then the whole city lights up, its just stunning and whats in my opinion the most inportant is that the sky woudnt be this ugly ass grey, but beautiful blue, just gives off a diffrent vibe
I am really glad that you liked your trip. Next time visiting I highly recommend looking up the honest guide YT channel. Those are 2 guys from Prague unrevealing interesting places and facts about Prague - me personally as a local I watch their videos to get information and good recommendations places in about Prague.
Your excitement over the buildings was so adorable & pure! 🥺💗 As a European, I can say that we are so used to the buildings, that we easily forget how lucky we are. I love architecture so much, and I do stop to admire all the beautiful details even in my own city, and everyone usually thinks I am a tourist haha.
i lived in prague for 5 months during my erasmus programme and girl, i get you, it truly is the most magical place on earth. Not just because of its beauty, but also because of how welcoming and homely it feels. Every day i spent there felt like a warm hug, i miss it everyday. Your video gave me the warmest feeling, it really feels like seeing my favourite city from my own eyes. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, and I hope its memory will haunt your mind in the same beautiful way it haunts mine. This is now one of my favourite videos in all of youtube, i will certainly rewatch it every time i get homesick
I’ve been three times. It’s a photographers, a poets, dream come true. I did a semester in Paris but Prague is the most beautiful city in the world to me…. And it’s incredibly affordable; my Air BnB was on top of a Cafe and looked out at the castle and was next to Charles Bridge
It’s so refreshing to see my city through your eyes, Cari! Thank you! It made me appreciate things I take for granted here. And of course it was absolutely lovely to meet you in person! You’re such a genuine beautiful soul 🤗
i will definitely be back and ahhhh thank you for coming to the meet up - srsly could have stayed and chatted with you guys the whole nine days hahahha
I visited Prague ten years ago and I still dreaming of going back- such a magical, beautiful place. Honestly one of the most charming places on earth! 💕💕
I've lived in Prague for 6 months during my university years., so.... 6/7 years ago? How the time flies I have been wanting to go back ever since then but never really managed to find the perfect time. Seeing glimpses of it really took me back, old memories popping up that I didn't even know I still remembered. Seeing you so happy there made me quite emotional, thank you for the lovely vlog Cari ❤
Hello. The name of desserts you bought at "Mysak" - větrník - can translate like "wind spinner". Also we have similar, donut-shape dessert called "věneček," "little wreath" - it is smaller and habitually does not contain a caramel cream but yolk cream. Both are yummy.
As a Czech person I recommend visiting Prague in late spring or in summer. Like Prague is pretty in every season but in these two it’s just oh my. Also Prague in winter, when it’s snowing, it’s just so MAGICAL. Unfortunately I don’t live in Prague but I wish I could
I love seeing our city through the eyes of someone who sees it for the first time. It makes me appreciate it so much more 🤍and living in Prague was the best time of my life.
Seeing the Mucha museum made me so nostalgic and miss Prague sooo much! I went there with my friends a long time ago and there I realized I have to start solo travelling, cause I literally begged them to go with me to that museum, just for a few minutes, cause it was a dream of mine to see his work, it was like my only wish! Did end up going alone in there and there was a weird tension between my friends and I afterwards.. It was so weird, and now when I go on solo trips they ask if they can come with me ... sincerely no
Hi Cari!!! I had no idea Prague was so beautiful, thanks so much for taking us with you! By the way, your music choices always blow me away...I want to learn that waltz on the piano, and the other songs totally bring me back to Cocteau Twins...LOVE🫶
You are so cute being excited about Prague. I am glad you liked it here. Prague is my home❤. Fun fact the reason why stained glasses in prague castle are that beautiful is because they are “new” (almost 100 years old) some of them are made by Alfons Mucha (important Art Nouveau artist), i think you would really like his prints.🎉
Let me just say you are a beautiful honest and appreciative young lady. Your pure joy over things like architecture that most people in Prague take for granted just teaches people to appreciate everyday beauty much more. Thank you for a lovely video I am glad you enjoyed our beautiful capital❤️👍
I have lived in Prague all my life and its so refreshing see it from another perspective. We are kind of used to this city but it really unique and beautiful place after all:) Sadly lot of local people dont apppreciate it really. Glad you liked it here!
Prague is one of my favorite cities to visit from where I live in Austria! It's so beautiful and affordable since I can reach it by train easily. I loved seeing all the sights I've visited several times in your vlog
As a Czech person this made me soo happy! It was really interesting to see the city through the eyes of a person that is not Czech. We are so used to it that we often forget to look at the details so just your commentary made me think a lot. I'm really glad that you enjoyed your trip, Cari.
I lived there for 2 years, this brought so many memories. Glad you had a great time. Prague is truly magic. Also, if you ever come back, go in May when the lilacs are in bloom. Prague was actually the first city in Europe in which lilacs were ever planted. The city is packed to the rafters with them.
You've out-done yourself. This is one of the best vlogs I have seen from you. It is so well-edited it's a like a professional tour. You really make a case for every building beiing the most beautiful you've ever seen, Us too!
I am truly tearing up as I watch your video. I live in Prague and the love you have for MY city is just so electric. Seeing old town from your point of view is something else. I walk these exact streets everyday and I'm just used to them. I'm glad you've enjoyed your stay and if you ever come back hit me up and I'll show you the wonders of Prague you've not had the chance of visiting (loads of cafes and hidden spots 😅). I'm glad you've enjoyed your stay!
It was so nice to see Prague through your eyes 😊 living in Europe you get used to the architecture and don't pay too much attention to it, so thank you for your appreciation. I would love to show you around Bucharest, all the French still houses and local architecture (byzantine), the palaces and castles in the mountains, the monasteries, and also the Village Museums ... you would love it. Let me know if ever you have time 😅
Oh my gosh… The atmosphere of this vlog is something. The city is magical. Cari, thank you for the video. These were really enjoyable thirty six minutes of my morning
Omg I wasn’t sure where I want to go for my next holiday but now you convinced me that it should be Prague! I’m in love with this place and the vibe is just the kind of vibe I’m craving for in my life. Thank you!
Cari, you look so happy! This is you at your absolute best, radiating the pure joy of exploration, discovery and sharing the excitement of newly-discovered old beauty. Watching this video was like having a warm cup of happiness with a cinnamon stick in it. You do this sort of thing SO well, and of course... pastries. 😊
I am glad people still find Prague so magical. As someone living here for a long time, you tend to lose perspective and start to take things for granted. You're right, the city is amazing despite its flaws and locals should just look around themselves a bit more instead of rushing between different city-parts every day (and I speak as one of those mad people halfway running when I am just casually walking...). We were "fortunate" enough though, to get a bit of a wake up moment recently. During covid, when the streets were without a single person to be seen, everyone must've realised what a beautiful place Prague is as it got this almost eerie vibe while empty. Ever since then, I implore every tourist to come during late spring/early summer, wake up really early and walk through the old city parts without all the crowds. It's pure magic.
such a beautiful thing to see foreign people be in awe about the city you live in your whole life, sometimes even I myself forget how beautiful it is. glad you enjoyed your stay!
Hi Cari, your vlog about Prague is brilliant and its also best promo which our beautiful capitol can get!!! I live in Prague last ten years, my job is preservationist (monuments man) so appreciate so much your passion for Prague ´s history... cheers and keep going: ))
It's so lovely to see people enjoying my city. You really took a good advantage of your time and went to so many good places I personally would take my visits too. Prague is very magic place and we often forget about it and take it for granted. The funny thing, I recognize my street, that day when you decided to escape the crowded city center. I even spotted my neighbour walking his dog in the park!
Love this video! I have been to Prague many times, but still found new places to visit. Thank you for always putting a list in the description 🥰 I will check out many cafes as I am heading to Prague for ONE OK ROCK concert 😍
Hi Cari! I’m from California and I’m studying abroad in Berlin this summer. I’ll be staying 5 days in Prague too before my program. I’ve been so nervous to solo travel there but thank you for this video. It has made me so much less nervous and more excited.
@@marketap279hi, any suggestions or things to keep in mind when visiting Prague. I read about trains (activating tickets before the journey) and giving tips when dining in restaurants and pubs.
Hi! I live in Prague and it is so nice to see somebody, who is exploring the beauty of Prague for the first time! To be honest, in the day to day life, I forget how beautiful this city really is. Thank you reminding. I hope I will feel like a turist tomorrow 😄 I am glad you enjoyed this solo trip and I wish you good luck to the next one!
I love this so much and am oddly emotional as you pan around the cities. So beautiful. I had to laugh about the old men. In the early aughts, I had a Czech friend in Roanoke, Virginia. He was a retired engineer. His daughter graduated from Virginia Tech and then the two of them moved back. His brother owned a bar there and he was going to return and help run it. I can't remember the city, unfortunately, but I am going to pretend that you were just in Peter's bar. lol He would totally be playing those songs and have big dogs. He would be probably... 80 now! Thank you for showing us so much of your trip. It's so lovely and your editing and commentary make it perfectly fun and beautiful to watch.
I was last week in Prague with my family. It was soooo beautiful! I will be definitly be back, perhaps without my boys and then i can visit ALL the museums😂.
The moment the sign of Pasaz Lucerna showed up I was in tears😭 I have been visiting Prague regularly in the last five years. It's one of my favorite places on earth. But will not be able to go this year. So thank you for this gem of a video❤
Suuuup jrzy grl, your routes and recs were awesome for my recent trip to Prague. Ok, fine - you basically planned my entire trip. Looking forward to seeing some more of your trips. Happy new year!
I speak French, Spanish, English, German and took 5 years of Latin in school and still can't imagine being able to understand that hybrid Czech-Italian neighbour-host person 😅 amazing that you were able to understand him.
Praque definitely has that old fantasy mistery novel memento mori vibe. =D Thank you for catching all the beauty in your video. I think no one was on the street in that small city/town, because it is small. I don't live in the Czech Republic but here (also small town) it is in the evening the same, at 19 o'clock everyone is at home with their family, eating dinner.
My most favorite video from you, Cari! I've always dreamt of visiting Prague since i was little, and i'm yet to fulfill that dream. Thank you for reigniting that in me through this video. ❤
What a wonderful first part of your trip! It made me miss Prague so much and inspired me to plan a solo trip for 2024. My trip in 2016 also went Prague --> Vienna! then Salzburg, Fussen and Munich. Definitely need to go back and spend more time in each.
We've been wanting to visit Prague ever since seeing the film 'Amadeus' years back. It was filmed in Prague. Your vlog only strengthened our desire to go. Hubs said "I knew it was beautiful. Know I really know how beautiful." Great job, wonderfully entertaining and informative. Great editing and commentary. Thanks SO much for all the info and links in your notes. I copied and saved them for future ref! LOVED hearing about your ?supernatural? experience. I once had a ghostly encounter in then West Berlin when I was stationed there in the U.S. Air Force, so I totally got goose bumps at this part!!! Mine was a 'run like hell' experience too.
Your excitement and the view of the city from your perspective made me remember the first times I explored this city... nowadays I'm so used to it I don't even think about these things but at least for a bit now I'll try to slow down and enjoy the beauty of it again.
I am so, so happy you had fun in Prague! I am Czech and I lived in Prague for five years, so I was taking it for granted, but now I moved countries I am moved. It is so amazing to see it from another person's point of view!
I’m so happy you enjoyed your trip. It was the first city I’ve been to that made me cry.😅 We went to a lot of the same places!!!💖 Instead of a Mucha shirt, I bought a reusable tote bag.☺️ Your video brought back so many great memories. My partner watched it with me, reminiscing the beautiful city.💖 Thank you.💖
Loved watching this video!!! We were in Prague in January and had a similar feeling of being in a fairy world as well. It's a beautiful city and we'd visit it again some day!! Also, loved your vlog. it was much different than usual tourist vlogs, and felt like sitting with a friend and hearing their story.
Wau, that was the best travel vlog from Prague I have seen so far. Even if the weather wasn't good. Your enthusiasm and how you enjoyed your staying are fantastic. The video edition is great with marvellous pointing out the buildings. 👍for you learnt some Czech words. I give a like and subscribe. Sending warm regards from the Czech Republic.🖐
Prague has always been one of the countries I wanted to go to the most, but I haven't had the opportunity to go yet, thanks to you, it was very nice to see there. I love watching travel videos, but none of them are as enjoyable as your vlogs. Thank you so much for sharing these videos with us, I felt like I was traveling there with you! I've been waiting for this video ever since you mentioned that you're going to the Czech Republic ahh I'm really going to pass out because of this marvelous city!
Awesome 😊 grab a tea, some cookies and my sundaymorning is saved 😍 thanks Cari, I was looking forward to it! We were in Prague in November 2022 and it was amazing, only three days but we have seen so much! It was wonderful! I loved the catcafe there, it was so cosy 😊
I'm so glad you enjoyed visiting my hometown and your vlog surely did it justice 🤎 I've been watching you Seoul vlogs since 2020 and they bring me so much comfort, and having the same feeling when watching a vlog from Prague is new for me 😂🤩
This video made me so nostalgic for solo travel and Europe!! It looked like such a wonderful trip and I’m so glad you took us all along for the ride. Looking forward to seeing Vienna next!
Girl 😍😍 I can feel you, I was in Prague in September 2022 and it still one of my best feelings there, the city is just magical, hope I'll be back someday with my other part ❤
My boyfriend and I explored Prague in October last year and we were so blown away by its beauty too! It's such a beautiful city 😍 We'll be going to Copenhagen in about three weeks and I couldn't be more excited as I imagine it to be so beautiful as well. Ugh, I just love strolling through all those pretty streets and get lost! Oh and have a lovely time in Vienna! I haven't been there but have heard that it's like the posh/more polished version of Prague so I'm sure you'll love it just as much haha! x
I only have one night in Prague on my way to Germany so you’re really helping me refine my must visit list while I’m planning my itinerary. That AirBnB, oh my goodness!
What can I say?? Great mix of images and glimpses of my town. Yes another person (of course it's YOU) made me proud Czech again once more. Prague is still a bit of a state in a state but it's very interesting to see it through someone else's eyes. I'm glad for you to have a wonderful visit here....and now I'm going for a walk in the Prague city ;-)
What a magical place and even more so when seeing it through your eyes. So great to see you so happy and loving the experience. Thank you for this vlog, it was a joy to watch.
Thank you so much for that video.. I am glad you like our beautifull Prague and you showed so nice picture of it. I love turist like you. Its always so nice to meet travelers like you in Prague. I find your video randomly because I like to find videos about Prague and recommendation what to visit even I live in Prague you showed me some places i didnt know. You showed few places which I didnt expect will be shown in video from foregien, you are realy good traveler. I could recomend you much more from Prague and much interesting places but you showed Prague in beautifull light so thanks for that.
Take a train to Kutna Hora and see the bone church near the ancient silver mine. The church was constructed by blind monks during the time of the Black Death and is made out of the skulls and bones of dead children. There are huge bells made of little skulls stuck together.
YOU WERE IN PRAGUE!? My main city?! Im actually so glad you found our main city so charming and lovely and its quite refreshing to see someone out of Europe to apraciate our cities, architecture and its beauty... Thank you for sharing your experience. Sending love from Czech Republic
hi!!! i'm from prague and i've been following you for years and i've been secretly hoping this whole time you'd come to prague. i've also wanted to see how the city would look like in your vlog style and you did not disappoint lol. i'm sad i missed the meet up as i'm not active on social media and didn't know about your trip beforehand (maybe next time). but i'm very glad you enjoyed it here!!! :)
I love the energy in this vlog. It triggers the same mood as when I'm visiting Prague as well, you captured it just perfectly for me 💕 I'm gonna rewatch it when I miss the comforting feeling of the city 🥲 Thank you for organising the meet-up, I was there just for the first part outside. I'm glad I could meet you in person 😊
@@caricakes I guess I did 😅 as a Czech living a city I you can never trust the weather forecast, especially in cities. I'm sorry you went through such a distress because of it 😀
What a beautiful vlog! Had to come and watch as the homepage preview told me you'd be having a kolache... and oh boy now I am really missing my home town and its bakes 😭
My husband and I were in Prague and Český Krumlov in September of 2018 -- and I agree, they are both AMAZING places! Prague very much felt like home to me, as my parents were both born in a small town called Čeminy, near Pilsen... which is about an hour & a half or so southwest of Prague. The whole area felt like I was drawn there by some ancient pull, and I hope to go back someday soon -- in the meantime, your vlog was so much fun! So many familiar spots, buildings, and food! Wonderful! THANKS!!
Oh, and I forgot to add... if you loved Prague, I'm sure you'd also love Budapest in Hungary! It was also a place that I fell in love with during that same 2018 trip! We were also in Vienna... which is just phenomenal!

Hey Mary! I am Czech and I live in Prague. Do you maybe want to meet up when you come here?:) let me know! :)
No need to be nervous. Prague is very safe and easy to get around.
@@marketap279hi, any suggestions or things to keep in mind when visiting Prague. I read about trains (activating tickets before the journey) and giving tips when dining in restaurants and pubs.
scared to travel to our country xD lol, we are not germany, wwe didnt invite half of africa and middleast here, so your gonna be ok
That apartment is stunning! Prague looks so beautiful!
I moved to Prague for one semester and I absolutely loved it, but you excitement over the buildings is on another level, it is so cute
Thank you for sharing your beautiful trip with us. Prague looks and sounds so incredible. I hope one day I get to travel there. Thank you!
wow! now Prague will be among the top of my list of places to visit in Europe. Thanks for bringing us with you!
Such a wonderful vlog….those big hamster/ beavers…….so cute……I know…I know……❤
I speak French, Spanish, English, German and took 5 years of Latin in school and still can't imagine being able to understand that hybrid Czech-Italian neighbour-host person 😅 amazing that you were able to understand him.
lmao he was VERY expressive hahhaa
@@caricakes ah I see ^^ 😁
Praque definitely has that old fantasy mistery novel memento mori vibe.
Hi ! Love this video! ❤❤❤
You are reliving my amazing first solo trip in Praque in 2016! You are the queen of aesthetic vlogs! 🎉🎉🎉
This brought back all my wonderful memories of wandering Prague in October 🥹🥹
I’m inlove Prague seen by your eyes!❤️ Amazing vlog, with perfect music. Thanks
Prague is such a beautiful city, my favorite in Europe😍😍
Your excitement and the view of the city from your perspective made me remember the first times I explored this city... nowadays I'm so used to it I don't even think about these things but at least for a bit now I'll try to slow down and enjoy the beauty of it again.
Prague is amazingly beautiful 😍
truly!!!
Nice to see our Capital town in your vlog.😍 Praha is one of the most beautiful towns in the Europe a we can’t appreciate it.
I visited Prague after reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone and it felt so magical! Truly a magnificent city ❤
YES!!!
YES! I visited Prague after attmepting to read The Unbearable Lightness of Being.
My partner watched it with me, reminiscing the beautiful city.💖 Thank you.💖
omg that makes me so happy! hope we both get to return one day :)
Thank you so much for this wonderful vlog! I love your awe and joy while visiting Czechia :) Very relatable!
I’ve been watching hundreds of videos about Prague as I am also going to travel by myself. This is the most beautiful video I’ve ever watched. Love it
Loved watching this video!!! We were in Prague in January and had a similar feeling of being in a fairy world as well. It's a beautiful city and we'd visit it again some day!!
Also, loved your vlog. it was much different than usual tourist vlogs, and felt like sitting with a friend and hearing their story.
Prague looks AMAZING!
Especially the library
Wau, that was the best travel vlog from Prague I have seen so far. Even if the weather wasn't good. Your enthusiasm and how you enjoyed your staying are fantastic. The video edition is great with marvellous pointing out the buildings. 👍for you learnt some Czech words. I give a like and subscribe. Sending warm regards from the Czech Republic.🖐
Your videos give off a very calm vibe almost like reading novels in a library kinda feel …love it ❤
Prague has always been one of the countries I wanted to go to the most, but I haven't had the opportunity to go yet, thanks to you, it was very nice to see there.
I'm so glad you enjoyed visiting my hometown and your vlog surely did it justice 🤎 I've been watching you Seoul vlogs since 2020 and they bring me so much comfort, and having the same feeling when watching a vlog from Prague is new for me 😂🤩
Definitely adding Prague to my bucket list. Thanks for this Cari! ❤
This video made me so nostalgic for solo travel and Europe!! It looked like such a wonderful trip and I’m so glad you took us all along for the ride. Looking forward to seeing Vienna next!
so excited to share and hope you're out traveling soon!
I haven't been there but have heard that it's like the posh/more polished version of Prague so I'm sure you'll love it just as much haha! x
omg i LOVED copenhagen - i hope you guys have an incredible time!!
I always enjoy your travel vlogs, Cari. Thank you for taking us along.
Thank you for uploading, Cari! Your videos give me so much comfort 🫂

You showed few places which I didnt expect will be shown in video from foregien, you are realy good traveler. I could recomend you much more from Prague and much interesting places but you showed Prague in beautifull light so thanks for that.
I'm literally going to Prague in a month, I'm so going to the places you are going! This vlog made me even more excited ahh!
omg have the BEST time!!!!!
Take a train to Kutna Hora and see the bone church near the ancient silver mine. The church was constructed by blind monks during the time of the Black Death and is made out of the skulls and bones of dead children. There are huge bells made of little skulls stuck together.
@@m4inlinehow far is it from the city centre?
Your vlogs are just PURE whimsy and I love it! Prague is surreal, thank you for this
YOU WERE IN PRAGUE!? My main city?! Im actually so glad you found our main city so charming and lovely and its quite refreshing to see someone out of Europe to apraciate our cities, architecture and its beauty... Thank you for sharing your experience. Sending love from Czech Republic
It’s called the capital, not main city
*capital
hi!!! i'm from prague and i've been following you for years and i've been secretly hoping this whole time you'd come to prague. i've also wanted to see how the city would look like in your vlog style and you did not disappoint lol. i'm sad i missed the meet up as i'm not active on social media and didn't know about your trip beforehand (maybe next time). but i'm very glad you enjoyed it here!!! :)
I love the energy in this vlog. It triggers the same mood as when I'm visiting Prague as well, you captured it just perfectly for me 💕 I'm gonna rewatch it when I miss the comforting feeling of the city 🥲
Thank you for organising the meet-up, I was there just for the first part outside. I'm glad I could meet you in person 😊
that makes me so happy and omg did you miss the rain chaos?! hahah thank you so much for coming!!!!
@@caricakes I guess I did 😅 as a Czech living a city I you can never trust the weather forecast, especially in cities. I'm sorry you went through such a distress because of it 😀
so beautiful to see my city through your eyes ❤
I love your travel vlogs SO MUCH. They're so warm and wholesome and I look forward to them always!! This was so lovely!
Thanks so much for making this, I'm going there for the first time the end of September and also solo
We are also heading there in September! This video made us want to leave now!
Right?!
great video !!!!!!!!! I AM GOING TO PRAGUE SUNDAY JULY 2 from Chiang mai was there in 2015 first time went back twice !!!!!!!!
