This is what KISS should have gone back to after the Reunion. This line up was great and creative... they celebrated the past without relying on it.

I always felt that this era of Kiss finally hit its stride on the Revenge tour...the look and sound finally sounded like Kiss.
Gene's Revenge tour look was better then his glam look was.

Rick Neilson went through a lot more. He was throwing handfuls into the crowd the two times I saw Cheap Trick.

In this performance his voice sounds like shit listen to the live in LA album from 77 or search strutted best live performance in yt that’s the exact name of the video and they have makeup on during that performance omg his voice sounds perfect there

He was smart going back to singing in the original pitch
Those extra high years are what damaged his voice so much
89-94 his voice was the best it ever sounded

I love the Revenge-era. The band really busted their asses to bring us something new, different and creative. From the live set, to the stage design to the album - everything was sounding and looking fresch. Not copying anything they had done in the past. I wish the Kiss of 2012 would look back to this era, and be inspired to do something out of the ordinary instead of bringing the same effects and songs on the road once again like they are on "The Tour".
Why it's called revenge? I'm pretty new. Just asking.

That was the Revenge Tour (1992). Eric Singer first joined Kiss in that time period way before he came back with some makeup in 2001. Well Eric joined Kiss the third time in 2004 and he’s still in the band now. AMAZING!!!!!

The ONLY original KISS member that can pull it off without the makeup and not be awkward is Paul.
Call me whatever but I will always prefer Singer over Car at all times in every universe and with Eric's respect and love for what he did and brought to the band cause it was wonderful but Singer has always been my favorite Kiss' drummer.
This should be on Alive III, Paul sounds and looks great on this show!

I loved how they sounded and looked during this tour. In my eyes, these performances legitimized them as one of the greatest hard rock bands of all time.

thumbs up if you like many kiss era's instead of the original first lineup and frst chapter of their career, bands like kiss, and sabbath, all get condemned simply for changing, the wes they had great musician like vinnie vincent and bruce kulick and great songs from creatures of the night to crazy crazy nights i love all eras of kiss

you look at some recent "20 years later" reunions.. Motley Crue, Guns n Roses , and others..non looked as cool as KISS did, for as long as they did..❤ they kicked serious ass
i think hes way better than Tommy but come on dude Ace was the original KISS lead guitarist he will always be my first choice player over tommy or bruce
And ask Bruce to come back, It'd be a hundred times better!

yeah i would rather see Bruce in KISS today than Tommy because as you said Tommy is like a tape recorder he just plays the same solo,s over and over i will admit i used to be the same when i was younger i idolized Eric Clapton and i learnt to play his songs note for note then one day i looked int he mirror and realised im not EC so i think Tommy should do the same thing and let his own personality come through otherwise he will just be a clone for the rest of his career lol
No one would clap and cheer because he has to play the 73 solo by Ace for anyone to appreciate it; me included.

I always thought Carr was better but Singer is great, and a great guy. Criss is just.... ugh, I dunno. He's a solid jazz drummer on those early records but in addition to being a garbage human being, his talent quickly evaporated (I assume due to drugs/boozing)
