Hello Amy! I have been lurking on your channel for awhile now, and I just wanted to leave a note to say that, as someone relatively new to the world of perfume, you have really helped to inspire my voracious appetite for scent! You are so passionate and knowledgeable, and I will truly watch and rewatch your videos because your enthusiasm is so infectious and uplifting. We brought back Opinel knives for everyone from a Paris knife shop. A classic folding knife with a wooden handle. Very inexpensive and perfect for my foodie, farming buddies. I still keep it with me always. The handles were stained in all different colors and one style is for pruning vines, which I gave to a vineyard owner. A lifetime gift!

Isn't it expensive to travel to France, hotels, food, even off season?
Especially going there 3 years in a row? What part of USA do you live?
You mentioned open air markets but are there thrift shops in Paris?
I don't mean vintage boutiques but thrift stores similar to what we have in USA like Goodwill or Salvation Army?
You Google for stores in France but did you ever think about actually looking in the local phone books (yellow pages) at your hotel?
P.S. When you talk about the prices of various things you bought, you wil
sometimes say the cost in dollars but sometmes you will only say the price in Euro's. Could you please always include the cost in US dollars as well?
I don't want to always do the math, so if you could say it both whst it cost on Euros AND dollars?

Hi! I am a budget traveller. I have gone 3 times over 4 years. Each time I found fares for about $600-$650. I have stayed at both air bnb s + hotels for around $60-$90/night. Outside of my perfume collecting + occasional travels, I live VERY frugally so that I can afford to take these trips. A euro is currently 1.09 dollar. Absolutely there are thrift stores + more inexpensive fleas. No, I do not use their phone books… nor even sure they exist. I Google, use the internet, UA-cam, blogs, old books, word of mouth.

      What is air B & B??
Years ago, back in the 1980's when I travelled to London, there were many bed & breakfast places but they were not called "Air B & B"
Why the word "Air" in front of it? By the way, just found out there are still some telephone directories in France, depending where you are. Some more rural areas for example. You know sometimes smaller thrift stores, or sometimes called Second Hand or Charity shops. Often these smaller out of the way places, often owned or run by an older senior person, will just use the local phone directories to advertise but not on Google sites.
My friend outside London has a senior lady neighbor who has a small thrift store and ONLY lists in the local phone book and NOT on Google.
