Of course, I would upgrade if or when life permits. But, the satisfaction with my 77" LG G1 remains at an all-time high. A compliment is due for the aesthetic of your living room. It reeks beauty.

Why am I watching a review on a TV I already own and love. Because it is that good.
The wife and I saw the LG G3 the other day at our local Best Buy and wow! Bright and beautiful is all we could say. If I were in the market for a new tv the G3 would be the one I would buy and not look back. But we all know when it comes to Tv shoot outs who the people that run them go for and that is Sony. Why? Money and perks that's why.

@@randomhumanonearth777 I am or should say was a Sony fan however the X95K disappointed me. After a while the blooming became so bad that it was eventually exchanged and I got the A95K. And I'm not happy with that either as the screen is extremely difficult to clean and the PQ lacks depth and there is some blooming occurring now that I've been noticing more and more 10 months later.
There are some redit posts that talk about the blooming on the A95K and they all are locked now because I wanted to share that I have a similar experience but couldn't comment.
I also find it odd that some of the comments were saying "turn down your brightness" or "oleds don't bloom". The mini-LEDs, like the X95K, do badly. And the A95K is now starting to, maybe it has to do with the QD technology, I'm not sure. And turning the brightest down just dims the picture, and usually messes with the colors.
I've been a long time fan of Sony and both of these models that I have mentioned really made me expect more from the hype as well as from previous personal experience with Sony products. And I've had other OLEDs in the past so it's not like I'm a newb.
I have the 65inch G1 and absolutely love it
LG G3 or Sony A80L in 65" if they are close enough in pricing? Only to be used for OTT streaming & youtube. Need right balance of image and sound (without soundbar for now).

Brightness yeah, from white subpixel mostly. What LG needs, is to up the brightness on RGB subpixels to deliver better colors. Tons of brightness from a white subpixel is just going to drown the other subpixels.

Hi watched all your videos comparing the TV's of 2023, thank you for making those o currently have a Panasonic JZ1500 OLED from 2021/2 and I've just found a really good deal on AO for a 65" LG G3 for just under £1800 (200 quid LG discount) its coming in the morning I just cant wait ,had to buy anstand though as my wall are crap 🤣thanks again you helped me choose thats why I've been subscribed for a while,take care 👍

I have the 55inch and after 12years of Plasma watching it was a jaw breaking experience watching Avatar 2 on that TV was like I'm on the Movie the Colours the Motion Pictures no delay no Nothing Amazing LG just put the TV level on other Dimension.
I just bought one from COSTCO, $4,300, love it
10 years of leading oled manufacturer :D its easy to be 1st when you are the only one in the game :D Smasung joined last year, and sorry, but QD-OLED is better than the WRGB OLED

QD-OLED is better for sure, this is why Sony changed to QD-OLED and dropped WOLED to their mid-end lineup. QD-OLED = Better colors and better panel uniformity.
so finally the real BIG update for my Cx has arrived.
QD-OLED existed since 2022 and easily beat a CX. Even G3 does not come close to QD-OLED in terms of colors.

Prices are about right different retailers offer £10-25 difference.
looking at these tvs to replace my old 1080p 60hz benq w1070 projector, tv will be used for windows 11 gaming with auto hdr, watching remux downloaded files, so movie nights, anime shows, and some occasional tv broadcast and switch gaming.
i believe the 77 s90c uses the second gen qd oled panel, so should be similar to the s95c, what are your thoughtst? thanks
I saw one at a Best Buy recently and loved the brightness. I want either one of these or a Samsung Neo QLED or something else at least as bright.
Both great TVs but for me the OLED blacks will shade it and although the sammy will be brighter the G3 is easily bright enough.
@@allthingstech Brightness is more important for me than for many other videophiles because I am 69 years old. I would be waiting a bit for the LG G3 because of the high prices. Size also matters because the 77-inch is $4803.74 after tax, while the Samsung 75-inch QN90B has sold for a little as $1200 with their EPP program, but if I went with the 55-inch then the difference in price matters less. Maybe I'll get a 55-inch QN90B soon and wait for the 77-inch LG G3 down the road depending on what the landscape looks like in a few years. I am also concerned with Samsung nerfing settings and I can't expect that their next TV will necessarily be better than an older one.
The only thing I don’t like is ,you can’t hook up surroundsound speakers.
I can only image the Cost of the camera you used to shoot this video.
Maybe more expensive than the LG itself.

Seemingly according to some testers the new Sony isn’t that much of an improvement over the A95K? I had that tv and I thought it was over blown?. Had the A90J and I found it better in the picture side of things. Got a LG G2 in my bed room and found it superior than the Sony A95K. I have picked up a LG G3 55IN for £1300. Check out tvs that have little blemishes on them that do not affect the picture performance and you can make a steal.
If I mount tv on the wall, how do you connect usb stick in it, dont have enough space to plug it ?
You can pull the tv forward, plug or un plug whatever cable you want and then push it back after you are done

That is the big problem with oled is the time of usage, I’m a hardcore gamer It gets very hot after like a 6 to 8 hrs. of gameplay even in winter times. So I have to shut it off to cool it down…

Colors and brightness in game mode is really mediocre if you ask me.
This looks very similar to my 77" C2. Besides the wall mount that it looks closer to the wall, what's the actual difference?

The tv is only a couple of mm from the wall but you don’t have to push it back all the way so it should work

Not at all. QD-OLED beats G3 on colors, reviews already mention this. QD-OLED blasts WOLED even with MLA on RGB subpixel brightness resulting in much better colors on QD-OLED + better panel uniformity as well.
Every time I mention my MORESENSE U7 4K ULED, FALD, HDR10+, DOLBY VISION, DOLBY ATMOS, with all its other high-end features, people tell me how "terrible" MORESENSE is, and how they don't even make it to the end of the warranty period!
Well, somebody should tell my TV, because the pixel-perfect panel is outstanding, with no DSE, no vignetting, and excellent uniformity. Three years on, I'm still marvelling at the superb picture! 4K UHD HDR in particular is very impressive for the price!
EDIT: At the risk of sounding like I'm bragging, I've inherited a practically new 65" LG OLED from my parents, and the £300K house that goes around it! Plus more money than I've ever seen in my life!

This is an smazing tv. My ps5 would wet itself for one of these and my wall would look like a painting in an art gallery. 😊

Why compare it to last years models? It would be better to compare it to the S95C and A95L
Most reviewers think this TV is better than the S95B and A95K. However, if people are on a budget then last year’s models are still good TV’s for the money due to their prices being dropped, although not so much with the A95K.

G3 is a downgrade in terms of colors. QD-OLED reigns supreme here. Go read a proper review with in depth measurements of RGB subpixel nits and you will see what WOLED even with MLA is nowhere close in terms of colors. S95B and A95K has better colors for sure. G3 is brighter, but the brightness comes from a white subpixel drowning the other colors even more. This is LGs big problem. They rely 100% on the whit subpixel to deliver a bright image. QD-OLED do not as individual RGB subpixels can shine bright. Much brighter than WOLED. There's several head to heads with A95K and S95B vs G3 and especially in game mode, G3 gets destroyed. Lack of brightness and colors.
Do you get crackling noise from the screen after you turn the tv off ? The screen emits a lot of heat . Is this normal

@@allthingstech it does emit lot of heat from the screen you should put your hands 🙌 near it after few hours . Compared to Sony A95K which has a heat sink no cracking noise or heat

Having seen and been able to test them side by side. Samsung SAMSUNG S95C absolutely pummeled LG to the ground .
Bright accurate colors. When calibrated of course beat’s just boosting the white sub pixels. I don’t know what reviewers are thinking
Hmm, so do I trust some random person like you or numerous TV reviewers and professional calibrators?….. The Samsung doesn’t pummel the LG at all and these two TV’s are very closely matched. You just come across as a biased Samsung fan with no objectivity. People who buy either the LG G3 or Samsung S95C will be very happy with their purchase as they’re both great TV’s.

Most reviewers rate the LG better on average, also a LOT less likely to get burn in! Wonder who got a Samsung 😅
So can someone explain why real owners who buy this are returning it due to the MLA panel over brightening the black level, also being an A95K owner I've looked at this TV in store & it's not as good at all.

LMFAO!!! If you like oversaturated colors then of course QD OLED is your thing. But if you want a natural looking picture as the director intended then LG OLED is the way to go. There is a reason why Hollywood directors and studios only use LG OLED tv's.

@@SteveSmith-cm1hx A95K won 2022 best TV with QD-OLED. And Sony use QD-OLED again in A95L. Why? Because QD-OLED is easily superior. Hollywood uses Sony. LG is garbage in terms of upscaling and processing, thats why. Colors are lacking hard on WOLED because brightness comes from the white subpixel. RGB subpixels have very low brightness resulting in mediocre color volume. LG OLED needs massive improvement in the color space or Samsung Display QD-OLED will reign supreme for years. In game mode, G3 looks mediocre at best. A95K and S95B from last year absolutely destroy G3 in terms of gaming. They have way better colors and much brigther.
@@Dr.WhetFarts I own TWO A95Ks (two different homes). It's not really an ideal set for playing games because the latency is not as rapid as on the G3. Meanwhile, LG has DRAMATICALLY superior upscaling of SDR content than Samsung (dramatically) in the newer generations. I went to the TV store with a USB drive full of SDR content and tried playing the same content on various TVs - Samsung is genuinely incapable of upscaling to an acceptable degree. WOLED is also more durable in regards to burn in, which makes it more suitable for displaying static content (e.g. Windows taskbar, HUD elements).
QD-OLED has concerns regarding burn-in potential to where it's just not a great option for people planning to put things like a Windows desktop on it for prolonged periods.
This year's A80L is terrible and looks awful, go see it in person. I own the A80K which is the prior year's model and it looks better. I don't know wtf they did to the 80L. I mention the 80L because it's also WOLED so was another option for a TV which is intended to have a lot of static elements displayed for longer periods.

To my eyes the Samsung has far better colors and puts out much less heat then the G3 ..... go to the store and put your hand in front of the G3 .... it feels like a radiator in winter
