Yea WTF B? Not cool! And this is NOT wireless. There is always wires, either speaker wires, hdmi wires, AC wires, Optical wires, etc.....

Thanks for this great review. I'd love to own a TV like this, but unfortunately, my home lacks the wall space to accommodate even a 77" display, which is the smallest size LG offers in the M3 series. I regret that many TV manufacturers have chosen not to provide average-size TVs with the types of innovative features found in the M3.
Does the connect box have to have line-of-sight with the TV? Would consider this for a room where the AV equipment is in a closet about 12' from the TV.

I paid an extra $300 for 3yrs additional coverage for an 85" QLED.....5yrs. warranty display coverage out of the box is HUGE for consumers deciding where to put their $$$. Anyways.....a vid. w/ Jen is always a good YT day.

I have the 97" M OLED version. It is super good, except the wireless box is annoying. If you go between it in the TV (good luck finding a place in your room where you won't have to walk in front of it), a super annoying message pops up saying the connection is unstable. The message sits there for quite a while even after you aren't blocking it anymore. I really wish they had dropped the wireless (after all, it STILL requires a plug for electricity) and done what samsung does with their frame tv, i.e. a single, super thin super long wire going from the tv box to the tv.

If you read through your comments, many reviewers want to know how you hide the power cord for the ht-a9. Great review for the M3 !
I don't post it much because it's not within code to have the power cords in wall. The best way would be to put a power outlet behind the speaker, recessed. The new Quad version of this may offer a better space to do it. I will find out soon.

But if someone walks in front of the beam it gets interfered with , so it’s still best directly in front, and ontop of your wiring’s centre
So how does tis work? Do you do the whole unboxing, set up and then what? Give the TV back to LG? Flip it to get your money back (or most)?
What is your distance from the wall to the sofa?
Wireless? Does this run on home WiFi? Bluetooth? Or something proprietary to LG?

I definitely would not use an “art gallery” mode with an OLED. Even if it’s not an image burn-in issue, organic materials in OLEDs still have a relatively short life span vs LED, and keeping that screen on all the time will certainly eat into the finite life of the organic components.
Ive always been confused by this model. You have to plug in the power so why not run an hdmi cable the same way? This seems like a solution looking for a problem. A G3 is cheaper no and more reliable... what am I missing?
Agreed. I don't know who this is for. Like you said, you already have to cut for the power cord, why not just run a hdmi right beside it paired to a hdmi 2.1 switch and save $1000?? All this is, is a wireless one connect box. I suppose if your vision to put a tv not over an entertainment center, that could be a thing. I think that is a bit niche.
I'm assuming it's for people who have a raised power plug that they can hide behind the TV and don't wanna bother fishing or hiding any other cables. Still doesn't justify the price bump.
Well power socket is usually available close to typical places for tv. But when you have AV receiver loads of devices etc then firstly you need to have a cabinet that will fit all close to the tv and secondly you will be running potentially more than single hdmi cable (if not available receiver). With this you can hide your gear anywhere else you like. So it does have a use case when you think about it.

They need to stop putting the older connections if the new one is backwards capable. I seen stuff with 1 HDMI 2.1 port which we need for next gen stuff. then the rest older version HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 1.4. Why do that at all. Xbox series x, ps5 new graphics cards support HDMI 2.1 now. i waited for HDMI 2.1 exclusively.,
I rather run wires through the wall than to have a big black box on display 🤷♂️

LG are crap. Had a GI EVO, burned in after 3 yrs + a few days, conveniently after the warranty expired. OLED panel sales down 29% in 2023...small wonder - people know the truth about this useless tech. Hope they paid you a lot for making this schill video.
