Thank you Feyke. Although we are fundraising, money is not everything. Simply spreading awareness and sharing our content to unite eye floater sufferers is very important. We cannot be successful as a small group, but when we unite together we can make bigger change. Please share our content to raise awareness - we can only continue to grow with your help.
Thank you, Tammy. Atropine certainly can help people struggling with eye floaters and we're really glad it's been so beneficial for you. One of the research avenues to be persued by Dr. Sebag is the trial of low dose Atropine on people with floaters, to give us more information about the improvement of vision, reading speed, contrast sensitivity and quality of life. We will keep everybody updated as this progresses.
Thank you for all the hard work and for these talks. We really appreciate it. I’ve suffered from floaters for one year now and the effect on my work has been negative and i avoid outdoor activities during the day as they give no relaxation at all. I’m trying to adapting but there’s no question this has been a significant negative effect on my life.
Thank you Heraldo. It has been a very difficult project to begin, as well as finding the right people to help. We are about the truth - and are not interested in scamming or lying to anybody. Our goal is to fight as hard as we can for a safer eye floaters cure. This wouldn't be possible without your support.
I know you are doing the hard work to fight with it, which is why i donate a small amout to you, but 5-7 years.... Around myself, the people paying close attention to VDM is hoping a treatment could come out maybe in 2 or 3 years; if i tell them that they should wait 5 or 10 years to get a treatment, then, nothing left to say....
I had eye floaters since November last year and its quite mild and I noticed that my vision changed like I don't know what to explain, i began not seeing peoples face indoors facing daylight. I really wanna see a ophthalmologist who specialised in eye floaters but I dont have the change to go to the doctor
I have bad floaters but I can still "see". If I were you I would get an eye check. Nowadays diagnostics are very good and many conditions can be spotted early. I understand some countries don't have a National Health Service and healthcare costs but please prioritize this!
Hi All! I'm 37 years old and my vision had always been clear! I went to get a regular eye exam and my eye pressure was checked, my eyes were dilated with some eye drops and a bright light was used to see inside my eyes. Now I see eye floaters which I had not seen before. I went again to the doctor because I was scared. They did the same process and now I see more! I’ve been reading post of other people that they had clear vision before their eye exam. Is the dilation or light causing this? When does it go away?
Can we have traduction in French with subtitle please? Thank you very much for your work Dr Sebagh! My life is so different since i develop eyes floaters !
Hi Jasmin, we want to translate our material to as many languages as possible, but it is difficult to find the people who can devote the time to this. We have recently translated our project Whitepaper to French. Could you share this as far as possible? www.vdmresearch.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/VDM-Project-Whitepaper-FRENCH.pdf
how much is the chance of a cataract formation after limited vitrectomy in young myope in his/her early 20s?? what is the mean time for the formation of cataract in this type of patients?
Having floaters is like having a dirty little fish tank in front of your eye with all of the fish poop floating around. I suffer from eye floaters all my life. I'm in my late 30s and also suffer from glaucoma. There needs to be a cure. Because eyesight is so precious.
This is an estimate for the Gold Nanoparticles project being undertaken by researchers at Ghent University. While we fully support this, we are always open to other projects and avenues which could result in a different type of cure. The most important thing we can do is to keep uniting eye floater sufferers and spreading our message. Alone we cannot make change, but together as one group we can make progress faster and aim to reduce this timescale.

While we cannot offer medical advice, we have spoken to many people who developed very bad eye floaters after Lasik surgery. Unfortunately those who perform the surgery claim that the eye floaters cannot be caused by Lasik, which we believe is not true. There should be a warning to everybody who is considering this.

@@amk221 Yes, myopia is a known cause of eye floaters BUT there are people with hyperopia or with perfect vision who got eye floaters at young age, medical community pretty much don't know why.
