Great Video. I had large quantities of eye floaters after I hit a head injury at 10 years old. I went to tons of ophthalmologists and was never taken seriously because of my age. Now I am 19 years old and still struggling to adapt. I wish this condition was taken more seriously since so many people are suffering. I used to read so much when I was younger, but now I find no enjoyment due to dark floaters crowding my vision. We would love to see this project succeed. Good Luck :)

Thank you for watching the webinar. As eye floater sufferers ourselves, we are doing everything we can to cure this disease. While we aim for governmental funding to allow this, we are currently crowdfunding for our smaller research projects which will make government funding possible. Our progress currently depends on donations - all funding we receive directly supports our efforts into finding a cure.
@@andylau9987 Thank you for your comment. We agree, and we are currently working with a Chinese volunteer who is helping us to create a WeChat account, meaning we can reach people in China to grow. Together we can fight for a cure.
Great to discover this video and learn about the VDM Project. I live in the UK and last summer 2022 I developed an epi-retinal membrane on the macular of my right-eye that also resulted in a large Weiss Ring floater. Apart from the floater problem, I have excellent acuity of the eye. In the UK, the NHS will not conduct vitreology surgery without also doing a macular scrape, and in consultation with the Bristol Eye Hospital, I have concluded that such surgery would be "over the top" for me. I am therefore more interested in undergoing Vitreolysis YAG-Laser treatment to alleviate the floater problem. However, there are very few clinics in the UK providing vitreolysis services, and with those that do, I am not confident of their credentials. I have however found a clinic in Germany however with excellent credentials, and am booked in in May this year to have the floater "zapped". But I note from your presentation here that you are not currently endorsing vitreolysis, and am interested to understand more for your reasons. How can I find out more? Thanks, Nick
Dr. Sebag is in contact with various institutions who are also researching eye floaters, vitreous and more. Although we cannot provide specific details for other medical institutions, please know that research entities are combining forces to work towards a cure.

Hi All! I'm 37 years old and my vision had always been clear! I went to get a regular eye exam and my eye pressure was checked, my eyes were dilated with some eye drops and a bright light was used to see inside my eyes. Now I see eye floaters which I had not seen before. I went again to the doctor because I was scared. They did the same process and now I see more! I’ve been reading post of other people that they had clear vision before their eye exam. Is the dilation or light causing this? When does it go away?
Thank you for giving rise to this problem. I suffer from floaters and I hope there’s a safe cure one day

It happened the same to me. That is a good question
That happened to me too
Do u have it still?
Dilation can begin the problem... i had stress and anxiety and it caused it. Anxiety creates dilation in fight or flight response lm learning.
Thank you
