Thank you for this video, I loved hearing your thoughts on creativity, and looking after yourself. I firmly believe in getting the basics right when you can, sleep, exercise etc but I also know that there are seasons of life and we can’t do everything all at once. Thanks for echoing some of my own thoughts back at me and a nice chill video about the topic. 😊

Such a fantastic outlook on burnout and getting your mojo back. It made me think back - I’ve only been knitting for 2 years, but I have been making my own clothes for almost a decade. I got married a little over 2 years ago and made my dress and a whole bunch on honey moon outfits. I’ve done a little bit of sewing since, but it felt like such a slog. I didn’t feel motivated and inspired and then I fell into knitting. And it made me excited, motivated, inspired. I haven’t really sewn that much since because I’ve been knitting too much, but I’m feeling inspired to get back into it with a new outlook on garment making.
Do what makes you happy. Don’t be afraid to try new things. You’ll never know unless you try but don’t just do it because you think you have to.
Yes, trying new things I've found can be so helpful! What a feat to have made your wedding dress and honey moon outfits!

Ha! I’m making a mitered square blanket with scraps of acrylic that are either leftovers or thrifted. I keep telling my husband I want to make the ugliest blanket in the world. My grandma had a wild sense of color, too. My middle name came from her, so I’m thinking it’s my destiny. ❤️

Your thoughts on feeling creatively depleted because of work spilling into personal life and knitting + filming + hobbies resonates, as I still here unhappy with all my projects and nary a video in sight after 6 weeks because my Master's thesis is sucking the life out of me. Loved this vlog and the pillow is so fun!!

Thinking of crocheting some scrappy socks for friends. Other people said they liked the socks I made myself and I figure I can make them odd for someone else (hate odd socks)
