Yes more Scrappy Sunday episodes! Gathering and planning my first scrappy project because of your videos! And just finished my 2nd pair of socks, both started in December (one I cheated and it was cranked!). You motivate me!
I love seeing Scrappy Sunday projects!! I had never seen the Bits and Bobs blanket before. I think you have given me an idea to use up my sock scraps plus I need another bed sized blanket!!
Thank you for inspiring me to create my own Scrappy granny stripe blanket! I watched your vlogmas and just had to grab all of my leftover sock yarns to make one. I would love to see more Scrappy Sunday chats!
I love this Scrappy Sunday chat! You have inspired me to pull out my scrappy projects to work on later this afternoon! Looking forward to more of these chats! Happy Knitting!
Hi Kay, I love the idea of seeing a Scrappy Sunday podcast. A about have so many things on the go. I have 1 or 2 worst weight Scrappy blankets going but rest assured I'm collecting lots mod sock weight yarn for all those socks I plan to make. Then I can cast on a cozy memories blanket as well!😄 Take care and may God bless you and your family always.
Enjoyed your video on scrappy blankets……I like to make blankets about 36” wide and then vary the length. I am making smaller blankets for children and they work up quickly! Thank you.
Yes more scrappy Sunday podcasts please! 🙂 Really enjoyed this. I definitely need to do a corner to corner blanket as I have never made one. It'll definitely be a scrappy one! 😀❤
I just found your podcast, been looking for ideas on doing scrappy item. Been knitting for a year now and collecting scrap yarn. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to seeing more of your scrappy works.
This is so immensely fun and inspiring. I would absolutely love more Scrappy Sunday videos. It really encourages me to keep working on my own scrappy projects, which as you say can fall to the wayside sometimes! I love looking at other people's scrappy projects and getting ideas and I'm sure everyone else does too :D
I love see your scrappy projects and would love to see your progress on them whenever you want to do another Scrappy Sunday podcast!!! Love all of them!
I don't usually get to a chance to watch your regular podcasts (although I subscribe). But these scrappy update podcasts are awesome! I love scrappy projects (although I often think mine are ugly while other's projects look amazing)! Keep 'em coming!
I’m working on a Bits ‘n Bobs and it is such a great way to use these fingering leftovers. Thanks for sharing this, it’s motivating me to start a scrappy crochet project.
You are one of my very favourite podcasters. Love to see everything that you are working on no matter what it is. I must say that I just love the grey jumper that you are wearing, it is so flattering. Can’t wait for your next podcast, please come back soon. Cheers again from W.A. 😘😍💕😊❤️🥰
This episode was perfect ♥️♥️♥️ I am making a real effort to use my scraps and have been making scrappy socks and a cosy memories blanket with all my scraps and minis! Please, please do more episodes! I need inspiration and my goal is to use up all my scraps!!
If I have time after church on Sunday afternoons, this might have to be something to do to move my blanket along. Mindless, restful, audiobook friendly knitting sounds good during these chilly months. Thanks for sharing!
Kay, I really enjoyed seeing all your scrappy projects. It actually inspired me to pull out my scrappy scarf I started long ago and have not worked on in a very very long time. Can't wait to see the progress you've made next month. This is a brilliant podcast. Until next time.....❤☕🧦😊🧶
Great episode. Thank you for taking the time to record and upload this. I live in Canada where we are currently in the midst of a snow storm. Scrappy blankets are a favorite project at this time of year. 😂
You really inspired me to start a bits and bobs blanket. I never thought to use knit picks stroll for this blanket. I’ve done 3 granny stripe scrappy blanket but I need to branch out.
Sherrie from Ollie and Bella mentioned you in her latest podcast so I had to check you out, and I’m soooooo glad I did. Love your vlog on scrappy projects, you’ve inspired me to get on with some of my own. Hi from Manchester UK. ❤️
I just learned of your channel through my beginners knitting group on fb. And I want to learn to make socks but with scrappy leftover yarn 🧶 I have so much of it. Even my son and hubs don’t mind my crochet scrappy slippers and socks. But knitted they’d be able to wear them and not worry about matching lol. You were recommended to learn to make knitted socks so here I am. Thank you for taking time to make video’s and teach us. You seem like so much fun. Texas Dee from NM💜🧶💜🧶
I love the idea of the scrappy projects and unfortunately I got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis I cannot knit or crochet right now but I love watching your podcast💞
Have you ever considered doing a live stream scrappy Sunday stitch along? I think it would be fun. Your blankets are looking lovely. I keep saying I need to restart my granny stripe scrappy blanket. I tore mine out because I didn't have all the same weight yarns
I missed this sorry yes i agree love the crazy afghans any new crazy afghans from Newfoundland Canada Jan 23 Thursday love it gorgeous but knitted wow love c2c i did one now doing another one need to do a scrappy one lol wow i like that one i like to know how to join yarn cozy love it love the bags you are a fabulous crafter girl love the socks you rock Newfoundland saying lol
Your Corner to Corner is coming along so beautifully! I may have to start a crochet project soon! How short is too short for your scraps to be included in a magic ball? Are you using the ends that were cut off from your scrappy sock ends? I so hope your air conditioner is up an functioning today. It's cold and blustery here in MN, but that can change quickly. Although when heat settles in here, we get the humidity.
It was fixed yesterday, thankfully! I think as long as you can tie the knots needed it’s enough. I do not use the ends that I cut off after weaving in the ends on things. But if they are longer ends you certainly could!
I have the same issue with my bits and bobs getting snagged. I ended mine last August bc it got so heavy for me to knit on. It was making my hands hurt. After I bound off, I discovered it was way way too wide. So now the width is the length. So if I make another one I will go down a needle size and cast on fewer stitches.
Love all of your podcasts, they seem very organized and flow very well. You have inspired me to knits sock and I am now on my third pair. Question for you: at what point do YOU place your progress keepers? Every 10, 20 rows etc? I notice you have them placed every so often. Keep up the great podcasts.
I don’t do magic knot on my sock, I will just weave in the ends when I’m done. I have the project page linked for the sock below the video and it has the info for how many rounds I did on the sock. ❤️
It was fun to see all your scrap blankets. I have several going too. One of mine is a cozy memories only using Desert Vista Dyworks. I participated in her year long sockalong for a few years and ended up like you with a good amount leftover from each pair. I will buy some of her mini skien sets as they become available after I use up my scraps. I think it will be alot of fun. I reallylike the bits and bobs you made, Ill have to check that out.
I love all of your scrappy projects. I participated in the DVD monthly sock along last year and am trying to decide on a scrappy project for all of my leftovers. Other than socks have you made any scrappy projects using self stripping yarn?
This video was fun to watch. I love needlepoint, crochet and only learned to knit in June (crochet is faster for me since I've been doing it over 40 years). For your scrappy projects, do you maintain the same yarn weight? I work with different wool weights such as DK, Worsted, Fingering and 100% cotton mercerized. Not sure I'll ever have a huge amount of any one type so does this mean I'll never be able to do a scrappy project :-(
Scrappy projects to me are definitely long term projects, meant to be added to over time as you have scraps available. I don’t mix weights within a project.
Enjoy your podcast and videos. I am new to scrappy projects. Do you have any particular technique for weaving in the ends as you go for these projects? Thank you.
I do a magic knot on all of my blankets to connect the ends. With that there aren’t any ends to weave in. The video for a tutorial for that is linked below the video. If it’s a project that I don’t use a magic knot I just weave in as normal. ❤️
All the yarn that I have used is Superwash. So technically it is washable and dryable. I haven’t tried it yet. I will be sure to update how it goes when I do.
Denise, if you want to email me over at crazysockladydesigns@gmail.com and I can help you troubleshoot some ways for a better fit! Might be easier than commenting back and forth on here? ❤️❤️❤️

Love scrappy Sunday. I have two blankets. One with finer yarn than the other. Made from left over hat projects.
Love seeing the scrappy projects, I think these update videos are a great idea! And I love that grey sweater your wearing .
Thank you! The sweater is the Pavement Sweater. I linked it in the show notes of the video. ❤️
Tulips are my favorite too. I am working on a granny scrap.
I’m working on a Bits ‘n Bobs and it is such a great way to use these fingering leftovers. Thanks for sharing this, it’s motivating me to start a scrappy crochet project.

your bits and bobs blanket is so gorgeous..
Loved seeing the blankets , makes me want to start one. also thank you for link to magic ball want to try .
Yes to more scrappy videos! How would you plan to wash your large blankets? Washer and dryer? Thank you.
I haven’t quite figured that out yet. Haha. But, I imagine really the only way to do it will be delicate cycles in the washer and dryer.
Kay, I really enjoyed seeing all your scrappy projects. It actually inspired me to pull out my scrappy scarf I started long ago and have not worked on in a very very long time. Can't wait to see the progress you've made next month. This is a brilliant podcast. Until next time.....❤☕🧦😊🧶
Brilliant idea 😃👍🏻💕
You have so many inspiring projects. You just gave me a long term project with my left over yarn .... the C2C blanket. Thanks
You are an inspiration with your scrappy projects! I haven't considered using a smaller hook or needle for blankets. I'm a new subscriber.
Great episode. Thank you for taking the time to record and upload this. I live in Canada where we are currently in the midst of a snow storm. Scrappy blankets are a favorite project at this time of year. 😂
Oh perfect!! ❤️
Love the intro, relax but inspirational.
hi ive just found your channel and loveeeeee the scrappy projects you have going on.....i would love to see more videos on how they progress.

Scrappy Sundays are so relaxing. Thank you. I plan on the bits blanket. ? Is there a local yarn store near Glendale Arizona?
The only one I have been to around Phoenix is Tempe Yarn and Fiber in Tempe AZ.
Love them yes please continue. Do you do magic knot for the sock too ? Or you weave the ends ? And how many rows to do your sock if you can tell .
I don’t do magic knot on my sock, I will just weave in the ends when I’m done. I have the project page linked for the sock below the video and it has the info for how many rounds I did on the sock. ❤️

@@CrazySockLady Right. Gotcha. I will watch that video. Thanks again.
Hi, love your scrappy projects. Are you using two strands of fingering weight yarn for your c2c as well.
Nope, it’s just 1 strand of fingering.
Hi Kay: what length needle did you use for your bits and bobs blanket? I’m considering starting one using a size 5
I’m sorry it’s been so long since I finished that, I don’t recall the length of needle.
Is your blanket. Washable? How would you dry it?
All the yarn that I have used is Superwash. So technically it is washable and dryable. I haven’t tried it yet. I will be sure to update how it goes when I do.
Kay,have you got a good way to measure so socks will fit properly. I just finished a, pair and they are huge for my size 8 foot.
Hey Denise, are they too big around or too long?
Crazy Sock Lady They are to big around so I stopped on them heel was also large. Denise
