- In this video I will show you how to repair very a Surface Pro 3 or Pro 4, 5 and 6 , touch screen where some areas are not responding to touch. This will only work if the digitiser on your screen is not broken.

The .exe won't even run for me and I've tried downloading from multiple places. The command box flashes and then disappears instantly. I'm going to try resetting.

Not a scam, not a virus works in 2022 on Surface Pro 3. I had partition of screen upper left not working and phantom touches... No issues anymore... Don't forget to opening files as admin, otherwise it get error.

Thank you so much!! Didn't think it would work, my glitch was so bad I could barely get the file downloaded between the disappearing and the random clicking of the cursor. However, completely back to normal right after I ran the file.
This happened after today's update.. appalled Microsoft are charging this much for such a piece of shit - my laptop is barely a year old!!!
P.s. the 26 people who disliked this video must be complete donkeys to not figure out how this works

I felt like an idiot downloading a random exe file based on a referral from a year old youtube video with under 10k views, but hey, worst case scenario you've bricked a laptop I don't even use, right? For some reason it was refusing to unzip in my C drive but unzipped just fine when I downloaded it to my desktop instead. it took under a minute to run, and it worked! This is such a relief. Thank you!

This genuinely worked! I ran the installer in administrator mode, just to be clear though I did not do a virus scan. For my purposes it didn't matter if it was a virus or not, so I didn't check. If you are reading this though you'll probably want to scan the exe and the files it generates with Malwarebytes or a similar anti-virus program.
In my experiences after the program ran the entire screen stopped working, until I went into the bios menu and found out the entire screen was working. Then, when I booted into Windows everything was working great!

I brought my Surface Pro 3 to Microsoft outlet to fix the "Ghost Phase (or dot or phantom)" and they couldn't fix it. Apparently, microsoft no longer contains this "hot fix." So, thank you sir for having this download link.

JAN 2023 Worked in a Surface pro 3. Had a phantom touch on the upper zone of my screen, the surface was in perfect state. Thanks so much for yhe help i use my surface for my college & need it

Holy... THANK YOU! Recently i bought Surface 3 PRO 4/128 for ~70$ described as "Touch not working". After receiving it i found out that only a part of screen is not responding, so at that point I was very happy. Thank to you whole screen is working 100% properly!! It appears my unit had screen replaced with battery, no scratches at all, and 95% of original capacity.
Before buying I've read about screen calibration on these, just totally forgot!

Oh my gosh, at first, I thought it should be some kind of virus, but it's really working!!! I have a surface book 3 - with widows 11, dev channel, build 25231, my touch screen was not working on the bottom and top parts, now after installing this file it's a good a new, I can't believe it. How Microsoft is useless with their rubbish solutions such as reinstalling driver or using their useless troubleshooting program. THANK YOU SIR. THANK YOU.

when I tried to download the link it said, "potentially dangerous code that antivirus software is yet unable to detect". So I am really bummed that I still haven't found a solution, I advise people who watch this video not to download this file

I have a SURFACE PRO 5 with a faulty touch that constantly made ghose touches (white bubbles on the screen or transparent squares). I didn´t want to lose the touch feature by disabling the driver (it was the only option). THIS WORKED LIKE MAGIC!!

Create a directory on your desktop, then copy the file and unzip it there.

It seems to have worked for most people who watched the video so I would suggest to reboot and try it one more time. If that doesnt work then you may need to reset the tablet completely. If needed I can release a future video in future.

Hi. I just tried this on my surface pro 7. Unfortunately it did not work. I tried working with Microsoft’s tech support and actually received a call after three weeks. Told me to send my device to the manufacturer then the phone went dead on their end. No call back or email response. Do you know of a screen calibration that would work with the surface pro 7? I’m about to replace my screen but if it’s a software glitch I’m concerned I will still have dead touch areas on my screen. Thank you in advance!
I never tested it on the SP7 but before you decide to replace the LCD, check that there are no cracks on the digitiser. You could also try to reset the machine completely and reinstall windows. This will confirm if the issue is software or hardware related.

OMg, thank you so much, I was nervous to download a random link from a website, but then I saw that I had somehow downloaded this already way back in 2018... and had never used it. Don't know how or why it ended up on my computer. In any case, I unzipped the file. And now my touchscreen works again. Thank you, thank you, everything with my Surface works great except my touch screen, and now I can use the device again for taking handwritten notes and sketches.
