FYI: BB4000 is the low cut version made after their hi-top basketball shoe BB4600 in the 80s, before their Pump shoes came into the picture.
100% agree on the material quality to $ ratio. Reebok knows how to pair proper quality materials with a realistic price point. Jordan brand, sadly, can just get away with using some questionable material and still contiune to sell out at whatever price they want.
Feel like Reebok releases a lot of sick shoes under the radar. Appreciate you guys covering shoes like this 🔥

The Reebok pump hi came out in 89 too. That's my favourite shoe of all time. It's a tank of a shoe, but a stunning silhouette.
We’re still surprised that those have yet to make another retro appearance.

I've been waiting 31 year's for them to retro the pump cxt, sxt and 2 hi double pump.

They released in 2013. Were surprised they haven’t released them since. After the Omni Zone OG dropping you’d think the OG Pump would’ve been next. Maybe they are though. Hopefully 🤞🏼
@@WearTesters I did manage to cop that 25th anniversary release in the og colourway and the hanon collaboration. I also got the first 89 hi retro in about 04. Yeah, it had to have been 04 because it was the 15th anniversary. Now that was a fantastic retro. The materials used was fantastic. The pump mechanism and air bladder worked just as good as the original.
I bought the omni zone 2 retro last year for its 30th anniversary but I was majorly disappointed in it. Shame on Reebok, lol.
Fake hexalite and it didn't even pump up. The omni zone 1, 3 and 4 are my favourites of the line. I wish Reebok would bring those back. The omni transit zone too. Man, what a shoe that was.
I'll have to write a strongly worded letter to Reebok. Hopefully it doesn't fall on deaf ears. 😂👍

I mostly wear Vans and Reebok (classics and nanos), and Nike basketball shoes (among Jordans). I think the shoe is dope and Reebok has some good ones for a decent price. I also think the Jordan 4 is the best although I love the 3 (born in 1988). Love watching your videos!

Snagged a pair for less than 50ndollara, the exact red and grey pair.
Word of caution, these are EXTREMELY TTS, so if you dont know your foot size in CM and buy a size up or down by mistake you could be in trouble. I should have purchased 0.5 up as my foot is slightly longer than I thought.
I'm 24 years old I'm not going to lie when I was in high school it was always about Jordans but as I've grown up and matured there's nothing wrong with a good pair of quality shoes from Reebok as a matter of fact my favorite Reebok is the Reebok question it's basically the Reebok version of a Jordan 11 and if they're really cool and I like these shoes I hope they go on sale so I can buy them so it's okay it's not always about to jump man or the Yeezys
These are awesome! I've been trying to grab a pair of new balance 550 in university blue for retail for a while, but I might just grab these instead. Colorway doesn't matter, they just look better
Materials used on this shoe are better and the shoe is more comfortable than the 550 so it’s a solid bang for your buck 80s option.
Cushion is much more comfortable (softer EVA used in the cupsole than the firm EVA wedge in the 550. Materials are much nicer which makes for a much more comfortable fit and feel when wearing as well. The 550s are firm and stiff all around - even after breaking them in. I have a few pairs of them and they don’t feel any better than a cheap Air Jordan. I think the 550 is one of the more overrated shoes available and people say they’re comfortable, but those same people should also say the Jordan 4 is comfortable because that’s about the same feeling you get from them. They’re bricks. Unfortunately, people aren’t honest anymore. Especially once they’ve spent their money on something. They just make excuses instead of being real. Luckily, we buy and wear/test everything ourselves so when we have an opinion it’s based on the fact that we’ve literally tried it all ourselves.

I have a few of the high top bb4600ii models and they're all from 1990. I know the original bb4600 came out in 1986 and the low tops followed soon after. Not sure how close these retro models are to the originals either. No originals had suede or came in these colorways.
These look like they would be good for skaters.

Chris I love you and Jodie and what you do for our community and every time I see your vids in my sub box I get excited. but unfortunately these may not even take over the club c let alone in a million years the Jordan 4.
Chris said they would never truly compete with the AJ4 - especially for him on a personal level. But they’re on par with the Club C and they’re more comfortable.

the continental 80s i got from adidas for $39 has way softer leather than most of the jordans i own

These seem more in line aestheticly to New Balance 550s.
That’s how far advanced the Air Jordan 4 looked compared to its competitors in ‘89. The 550 and these were both released in the same year. Nike was really different back then.

Question: Could these be an offshoot of a 80's Reebok lowcut basketball shoe that was called the BB4400? Also, when Seinfeld premiered, it was called The Seinfeld Chronicles.
It could be, but according to our source at Reebok the shoe itself is so obscure that they don’t even know the true history of it. They just liked how it looked and decided to bring it back. It was hard for them to recreate due to not having an OG pair on hand and the shoe wasn’t available on the aftermarket like eBay.

Before comparing them to Jordan 4's are they better then the New Balance 550? I don't think so but they are nice in the white and green. I remember the Celtics point guards wearing these in black and white
The AJ4 is the king of 1989. You don’t compare one forgotten relic to another forgotten relic. They were forgotten for a reason. But you do compare them to the top shoe of that year.
And to answer the comparison question - the only thing similar outside of the year released is the visuals but that is due to the year they were released. Materials go to the Reebok BB 4000 II. Comfort also goes to the Reebok BB 4000 II.
@@WearTesters i appreciate the response. Yes. I see your point on why even bring up the Air Jordan 4. Got to go against the best of the time. However, I like the look of the New Balance more now then back in the day. Guess it matches my style. As a kid i was going with the Reebok no question (no pun intended) but I'm not a fan of the slimmer look compared to the New Balance but you've seen both so I'll take your word on the material and comfort. However that white and green pair is solid.
It’s funny that you mentioned being slim, because that’s the thing I dislike most about the 550. They’re so slim and slender that it feels like I’m wearing a pair of pro keds or something made for ladies rather than an 80’s basketball shoe. The BB 4000 II has just enough bulk to them where they feel like a more authentic representation of what the 80’s hoops era was. Whereas the Air Jordan looks like it’s from it’s time (80’s) but they’re clearly the more technologically advanced between the shoes put up against them during their respective release years.

The white and green look good and they aren't expensive and probably will go on sale. Lol. I rocked the 4600's as a kid because Reggie Lewis used to rock them then he went on to the pumps with Dee Brown. The 4's are it tho. The ideal, the highest title, numero uno!

Such lack of love for Reebok these days from people. The quality on so many of their "budget" shoes far exceeds the vast amount of crap quality we get on Jordan's for 2-3x the price.

I got mad love for Reebok but I'm the same on the Jordan 4. I believe that's the best shoe ever made style wise in my opinion.

Sad that we’re in a place where if someone doesn’t like a Jordan colorway they’re told they have no swag or style. Yet, if you like something outside of Jordan you’re told you’re wearing old man shoes or lawn shoes. Makes you think who actually has the swag/style and who’s just a trend following hypebeast pretending to have swag.

That being said, these shoes are honestly just ugly. Put these right up there with older corvette owners that wear New Balance shoes.😂🤣.

@@WearTesters Daily I wear steel toe boots/steel toe shoes. By the time I get home im in my slippers.
My notable favorites with cushion happen to be 11's, Proto's, and 3's. The comfort fit 11's are pretty awesome.
The 9's and Melo Pumas are pretty comfortable also.
The curse of big flat feet. I own over 200 pair's of shoes across all brands and have quite a few grails. Doesn't mean they don't hurt my feet lol.
I have a pair of New Balances that I cut the yard in lol.
