Good morning Leslie, REALLY enjoyed your vlog this morning! It was so timely for me! I just sold my home and will be moving to Florence, Oregon next month to be right near my son, daughter-in-law and grandkids. (Son got a job up there away from the crime ridden East Bay)(he's a very nice police officer) They are right down the street from me, and my little 5 year old granddaughter is very interested to be over at my place watching all the crafty things I do and 'helping' her Grammy! She is such a peach- I'm so blessed. I may have mentioned this b4 but my garage up there finished like a room so I empowered myself to claim that space as my knitting and sewing room with a spot for my jewelry making as well. Retirement is good! So I was wondering and apologies if you said this in your vlog but did you purchase the glass door bookcases at Ikea? I need those for my new craft space for yarn storage to keep safe (YIKES!!) from pesky yarn moths. I have a lot of beautiful sock yarn I want to protect until I can use it. You know there's priorities and then there are PRIORITIES when it comes to our precious fiber world. I'm gutting the kitchen so I'm going to install the old kitchen cupboards in the garage to store all my supplies and fabric in. I will be pretty darn busy organizing this activity. Loved your ranunculas sweater as well as Poppy Tee! The new light teal yarn and carry along mohair is beautiful. Good time on the mohair as I have some yard I want to pa=ir with a mohair so I will see if your recommendation has a good accompanying color I can purchase. The fiber festival you are going to in August sounds fun, I will be moving at that time but maybe next year I will be able to attend. I'm looking to go to the Seattle to attend the fiber show in September if my memory hasn't evaporated! Hey Carrie! Congrats on the upcoming move! That is so exciting! These cabinets are from Home Depot, but if you're looking for something from IKEA, the best overall recommendation is the Billy bookshelves with the glass doors!
I would not buy another cabinet in front of the window. That window is lovely. I'm sort of a minimalist - but look at the window without a shelf. You could move your desk over closer to the window and then add something in the corner - perhaps a small table with lamp - might help your lighting out for the podcast. Just an idea.

Lang mohair is dreamy!! Also love Silk Cloud (now under the Madeline Tosh label) and Berroco Aerial. Their mohair to silk ratio is soooo soft.

Nice yarn storage! Mine looks similar, I have white Billys from Ikea with the glassdoors. I do not have a whole craftroom, though!
