Great review. You’re enthusiastic review of the new Stellar was not overstated. Just got mine 2 days ago. Beautifully done, amazing detail, functionality is as you said is as good as it gets.
I love field strip knife handles ! I can't think of any reason all normal flippers shouldn't have standard screws ! These knives just ooze quality, that Damascus blade is incredible 😲
I just got mine yesterday, and it's fantastic. However, the pocket clip tension is very strong and its a struggle to put in/ out of jeans. I wonder if this is with all stellars or just mine.
I'm curious what your personal favorite production model Shiro is. Maybe that's a difficult question and like asking you to choose your favorite child 😂. I'm planning to get my first and can't decide between the Stellar and F3 NS
Ha-ha--ha! Exactly the same question we asking yourself before buying that overpriced beaty and actually little numbers of Shiro owners in Russia, MrBendayho! ) 99% of actual knife enthusiasts here just buying more cheeper, but more interesting new or classic, traditional & historical world brands like Spyderco; Benchmade; Microtech; Böker; Fox or even Chinese good quality ones, like Kizer; Bestech; Wosteed; Maxace; SRM; Artisan Cutlery and more others! "From Moscow with knife!" )) 👋😎👌
But let’s be honest, and in fairness a Koenig arius is a production model and it’s probably at the same level as the Shiro. Don’t get me wrong the Shiro should be in the Louvre. It’s spectacular, but apples and apples. The Koenig is very very close to it for $300 less.
Let’s continue to be honest… If price or value was the only point, go back to ZT and save even more money. Holt, Brown, Rockstead, Skiff, Nadeau, Nell, Rogers, Sagríc, Monero, Thornburn, Martin, HMC… are all competitors with similar products at vastly different price points. It’s the wonderful choices in our menu that drives and feeds our passions. I sold my carbon fiber Koenig simply because I felt the blade was too wide, and the neck of the handle too narrow for a comfortable grip. If it was $300 more than the Shiro , I would’ve still sold it.

It’s a strong clip 😊

I think the new F95NL's, the F95T, and the Stellar would be my fav production knives... They're done so well.
Is there an arrow on the lock bar @15:12?
There’s something there 😂
How do I get notified when you have more of these to sell?
I should have some more tomorrow or Monday (shipping dependant)
Would you say you have $7000 to $8000 worth of Shirogorovs there?
Without re-watching the video, I'm sure that's pretty normal to help compare this with multiple knives.
Does anyone actually use their knives or are they just pocket jewelry?
Some use em... Maybe not the super fancy/collectible ones. But production ones for sure!

Fair enough! I think the Koenigs are fantastic knives… Personally, I prefer the Shiro, but the cost savings is hard to argue with. Cheers!
Koenig makes a great knife but they don’t grind their blades by hand or have the same level of hand finishing outside and inside their knives.
