Been looping the soundtrack. I hope they one day release a full filmed version. I imagine it is a few years away, but still!
Suffs was a joy from start to finish. I feel so lucky to have had the chance to see it.
With the maiden name Blitch, I really needed this song while I was growing up! We were in the house for the first show just after Shaina won her Tonys. A magical evening indeed.
I'm currently listening to the soundtrack, and with every song I get angrier that this didn't win best musical. The Outsiders was fantastic, too. But I mean, COME OOOOONNNNN.
hi!!! i’m here to say the same exact thing i was obsessed with outsiders for the last month but i saw this yesterday and WOW!! this certainly deserved best musical for sure
These ladies marched so we could run. So make sure you run to the voting booth in November.
I'm so excited about the possibilities! Just think this show wins the Tony the same year we elect the first female president?! AND she's a woman of color?! 💙💙
@@cookbookworm Exactly!!!
I see Broadway plays every week and I loved every minute of this musical. It was stirring and at least someone is speaking out since the ERA isn’t even passed yet. I hope the critic on this page take a look at their history and wake up. it’s a fantastic show and I thought the singers at every moment were amazing with gorgeous voices and passion. go and see the show. It’s more exciting than most out there.
I got to see this on my trip to New York last week. Knew nothing about the show before and loved it.
Really hope it comes to the UK eventually so all my other theatre friends can see it.
That's great you saw the show! ☺
I'm from the UK too - I hope to see Suffs one day!
I want "Great American B" on a shirt!!!
Suffs does sell a shirt that says it! There's also a hat!
@@ValentineSmithVanizThe T is $40
That’s actually a thing you can get! My sister and I each have one.
Arguably the best moment in the play
Too bad they didn't perform this on the Tonys, but I imagine CBS objected.
Loved this musical
so good!!!
Such aN AMAZING song!
Excelente musical gracias por compartir 👏👏👏🌹😍
Is this an SNL parody?
it is so interesting how many of the performers are really weak singers, and then you have jenn collella and nikki renee james. like were there not enough strong singers who auditioned??
It's almost has if they were more interested in casting strong actors rather than singers. Collella and James are also both really strong performers. Same with the cast with in the video.
Your comment is insulting. There’s a place in hell for women who discourage other women from trying to do better in the world should be ashamed of yourself
I think they’re all fantastic singers and actors.
Something’s wrong with your ears
There’s nothing wrong with your ears. This is lazy casting. If you’ve spent literally ANY time within any kind of NYC theatre circles, you know there are thousands of insanely talented triple threats out there looking for work. The comment about ‘they wanted stronger actors’ is so ridiculous. Being a well rounded performer is USUALLY what is required to work on Broadway but this show seems to have casted purely off specific characteristics. Some of these women are downright untalented. To the people defending this casting, being a sycophant doesn’t make you cool or edgy or ‘progressive’ it means you don’t have any respect for the art form or for the people who work incredibly hard on their craft. Some of these women are community theatre level at best.
Women in 1913 had a lot more class.
Comments like this are why we need to keep speaking up. Drink if they say you have no class!!!
Don't you remember the famous quote: well-behaved women rarely make history?
