Educational system is appallingly lacking. Teaching history, & historical events are a part of the core of the USA. Balance/equality in political are vital.
It would have been good to point out that the majority of Democrats voted against the 19th Amendment. That it was driven by Republicans, like every other piece of Civil Rights legislation. This was just fawning Democrat propaganda.
I learned about slavery, women's suffrage, Jim Crow, the civil war all of it in school in the 70s and 80s. I also learned how the constitution and the will of the American people of all walks of life corrected them. The only thing holding us all back now is identity politicals and a new obsession with race and gender that is tearing this country apart in the name of social justice.
This was so interesting and revealing - we are still fighting for women's rights. In case some haven't noted - Rs are trying to take us BACK to the days before suffrage started....look at what they're doing to our reproductive rights! Whether you agree or not with abortion at least shouldn't the 'right' be there? So if you don't want it then don't have one but some other women may NEED to have one - should she be prosecuted for trying to do what's best for her??? Plus they're trying to take on birth control (by taking it away)and the list goes on. Rs don't seem to want women to have the SAME rights as men do. We must NOT go backwards and this show will push us forward into the future by reminding us of what happened in the past.
And they're so inept at writing legislation that the laws they made actually hurt women who are trying to have children. OB-GYN's are leaving states because they don't want to be sued. "Life of the mother" means a woman has to be near dying to get help. It's insane, and exactly what The Handmaid's Tale was about.
You realize you owe the 19th Amendment to Republicans, right? The majority of Democrats voted against it. Oh and FYI Abortion is NOT "Reproductive rights".

What a stupid comment, Bradley. What part of this do you have an issue with? It’s the story of how women had to fight for basic rights and the right to vote.
