  • Last minute decision to have a day out on the Keithley and Worth Valley railway near Leeds, meant an interesting, and mostly fun January day out.
Many steam railways close through January, but wanting to show some thanks to keeping open on cold dark days I decided a trip was worth the trip. Running through Bronte country, and the line that was used for the classic film The Railway Children, brings back the how life in the 1950's was like on this rural branch line.
Unfornately the some modern problems, with kids on the line caused delays after already missing the train we were aiming for meant trying to pass 2 hours at Ingrow West station. Then no time at Oxenhope due to late running.
