@milehighboost5521 That was a joke, a joke about how dysfunctional our team is, and how I feel sorry for anyone who gets sucked into this clown show. I really shouldn't have to explain it.
Are you brain dead or what? It wasn’t the offensive scheme that lost them that game. You can’t win a game in which you lose the turnover margin by 5 (5-0) and then your defense is banged up to shit and you have a bunch of 3rd stringers playing lol. Let me tell you something, If the opposing team in any scenario score more than 30 points and you lose it’s more on the defense that anything… the defense isn’t putting the opposing teams in 3 and out situations. I’d have to rewatch/ look up the analytics for it but I’m pretty sure the commanders didn’t even punt once, if they did it was 1 time.
@Scottjf8 I thought that was 1 play only? If anything, the lions run on their grit and creativity lol. Their trick plays are what they thrive on. That’s like saying they should stop going for it on 4th down, even though that’s their spirit and DNA, you can’t just change the culture like that.
We will have a tough schedule next season due to having a great record. But Johnson has his work cut out for him. DET, GB, MINN... They all have 3 years of film on Johnson.
Well, we know where Kevin Zeitler will be going and im fine with it because of what we got in Mohogany. He had the best graded performance out of any other lineman on our team in that divisional game. A rookie outplayed abunch of vets in his second start in the league.
Just don't see him as any kind of Offensive genius. Good luck Bears, but i think this is not your answer. Detroit just has some one of a kind talent. I could look like a genius too with the kind of weapons Johnson had on that team.. We shall see.
Rome Odunze and DJ Moore are arguably just as good as a duo as Williams and St.Brown, talent-wise. Kmet is also a monster and it was sad to see him schemed out of the offense this season, because he was a beast when Fields was in Chicago. Deandre Swift wasn't good this season, but then again he was playing behind one of, if not the worst, O Lines in the league. Bears just need to focus on signing O Line and D Line, and getting an extra RB if there's any good ones out there. They have the money to do all of that and then some. And who knows, now that Johnson is the coach, maybe Keenan will stay.
I 100% percent agree. It's not hard to succeed with gibbs, st brown, laporta, jamo, and montgomery, plus a great o line to boot. He is not the guy to bring in as hc.

Drunk Lions Fan here; I'm happy he's gone. Look, you'll never met someone who loves Ben Johnson more than a Lions fan. But it was so annoying all of last year to have the HC conversation overcrowd everything, plus having this year be 10x worse was just so annoying. Plus, both him and Aaron Glenn called their worst games against the commanders. They never adjusted during the game, always tried forcing what wasn't working. So while I'm sad, I'm glad for a fresh start. Some people we can actually keep for a few years that won't prioritize a HC position over something that actually matters, like a SB
I loved Johnson and he was more worried building his future coaching staff the last week instead of getting his offense ready. I hope every time he comes to detriot he gets treated much worse then Stafford.
The last year's with rams ypi saw those interceptions that were so costly and mcvee took goeff to the superbowl. Don't thing ben did better. He did well but not sure about better.
2:32 I don’t know how he can be a comeback player of the year when he put up the fifth most yards a bears has ever thrown for, while having the most total yards of bears quarterback has ever had for an entire season as a rookie. Throwing for only six interceptions. Maybe other awards could be in line, but I don’t know about comeback player of the year when the little expectations that our franchise expects from these guys and he not only shattered the rookie records, but came close to setting the veteran record.
You won’t be for long. Long standing Lions fan here who will tell you this guys no head coach. Not even close. You’ll see he’s nothing more than a decent coordinator
4th generation Lions fan here. Been watching them since I was in diapers in the 80's. I'm happy for the Bears and can't wait to see Ben Johnson as a HC. Having said that, I hope the Lions lay an absolute whoopn' on them next season.
I do not wish Johnson any luck in Chicago. I understand he did what was best for him. But staying in our division is a slap in the face. I hope we get him fired in two years.
Obviously we should be grateful for what Ben and Aaron did, but it's not crazy to be mad at how this all ended. One of the craziest play called games ever by the lions(Offensive and Defense), then followed up by Ben Johnson leaving to the bears with his crew already established apparently. It felt like we played. Given hope of a true playoff ride just to be cut short. That cost us massive, just so what, Ben and Aaron can get hired sooner. Complete bullshit.
During their big losing streak, the Bears had 4-5 very winnable games, that A GOOD COACH could have easily won. A GREAT COACH would have been worth another 1-2 games. There’s not a lot of mopping up to do as far as talent.
Caleb Williams served humble pie early. The guy who went after him is playing in the NFC Championship game. Were the Redskins that much better than the Bears?
Why are you only focusing on the players? Eberflus should have been fired as soon as the bears secured the #1 pick. Caleb was clearly the best QB in the draft.. but coaching matters.
Yeah Commies have studs all over the defense plus a mature WR squad, great O-line and two starting RBs. Bears have a few good players on defense, studs for WRs but a high school O-line. Can't throw the ball when a defensive lineman is in your face every time you snap it.

I've not seen a new coach sign so far. The bears do it in 1 day, I'm not a Lions fan, but that's gotta be tampering
"A prank call came true" 😂
"Bears grab Johnson" is the single-most Perna of all Perna headlines ever. It's perfect, and I love it. 😂
I hope not, but I could very easily see this being Brandon Staley 2.0. we've never seen him be a head coach in the NFL. He's just been a great coordinator for the last 2 years and that's exactly what Staley was.
I could just be saying this because I'm a chargers fan and I'm wishing our pain upon others but I really don't think so. Johnson is walking into about the exact same situation as Staley to the Chargers
Bears win the coaching lottery.🎉
Bears also just confirmed that Dennis Allen will be Chicago's DC!
just hit 700k subs congrats man you deserve it!
I have no skin in this game as I’m not a bears fan but I found it hilarious at all the UA-cam fan bases I have watched over the hiring season and somehow Patriots fans kept saying Johnson would be a potential OC for the Patriots after Vrabel was hired. Delusional.
Thanks a lot Jared!
2 years and he’s gone.
I'm glad this is in the past..
IN DETROIT I TRUST 🦁💙💯
Hope this goes well for them. Go Bears 👍
Gonna be tough to run any of those fun exciting plays for the bears if they still cant block, and we still dont know if Caleb can throw the ball accurately more than 20+ yards
not how I was expecting these last few days to have gone for us in MI
As a bears fan this video was amazing to hear
As a Bears fan, all I can say is "Sorry in advance, Mr. Johnson."
Cheer up. Who’d you want? McCarthy?
@milehighboost5521 That was a joke, a joke about how dysfunctional our team is, and how I feel sorry for anyone who gets sucked into this clown show. I really shouldn't have to explain it.
@@rogue9ch you need to either route for another team or stop watching the Bears. No need to be so miserable over a team. Get a life!
@@milehighboost5521 Says the guy getting emotional over a joke...
In a UA-cam comment...
And who wrote route instead of root.
DONT YOU DARE GET MY HOPES UP. I WONT FALL FOR IT AGAIN.
You're completely underestimating how bad Caleb Williams was this year. Out of 43 QBs who threw more than 150 passes this year, he was the 40th best.
Now we know why he didn't prepare his offense this past Saturday, he was more focused on getting his new prestigious coaching job with Chicago.
@@danielcecena1635dude he had Jamo throwing passes down 10.
@Scottjf8 I thought that was 1 play only? If anything, the lions run on their grit and creativity lol. Their trick plays are what they thrive on. That’s like saying they should stop going for it on 4th down, even though that’s their spirit and DNA, you can’t just change the culture like that.
You're a 🤡
@@Scottjf8 Live by the gimmick... die by the gimmick.
We will have a tough schedule next season due to having a great record. But Johnson has his work cut out for him. DET, GB, MINN... They all have 3 years of film on Johnson.
Being a head coach is alot different than being a offensive coordinator. I hope Johnson finds that out the hard way.
I’m more curious to see what Detroits offense looks like post-Johnson vs what Chicago looks like with him
It will improve
It will look even better
Now with MCDC calling the plays don’t expect goofy flair. Ground n pound 💪
Forgot the Wayne Fontes coaching tree... June Jones.
Great stream brandon🔥👍🔥👏🏈👍
Goodbye Ben. You were one of the best offensive coordinators ever and I hope Ben will do great in Chicago
If this doesn't work, they should make the Bears a youth soccer club.... in Canada.
"Bears Grab Johnson"...
And, being bears, I presume they needed to use both hands...
Well, we know where Kevin Zeitler will be going and im fine with it because of what we got in Mohogany. He had the best graded performance out of any other lineman on our team in that divisional game. A rookie outplayed abunch of vets in his second start in the league.
I’ll believe it when I see it we’ve gone through so many rebuilds I’ve lost track and interest. The common theme other than losing is ownership.
I feel like it's been 1 long rebuild piss poorly done since Lovie left
The creation of the Dan Campbell coaching tree is pretty cool. But Dan is part of Sean Payton Tree Right? A1.
Ah that's why he threw the playoff game
Just don't see him as any kind of Offensive genius. Good luck Bears, but i think this
is not your answer.
@@MFBlooshwhat are you drinking???
@@MFBloosh 😆😆😆😆
Neither of those guys can hold St. Brown’s jock.
I’m a Chiefs fan but I don’t run around saying Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice are Hall of Famers. Don’t be such a homer.
Do you realize what Regis guy just did to Detroit. Should be excited to be a bears fan today
I'm a Phins fan living in Chicago--might be taking a lil vacation season since the Bears are actually changing some stuff and the Phins are just fuckin running back an 8-9 roster
I LOVE this hire! 🐻⬇
Getting a coordinator as a coach. It's kind of like drafting a QB you never know if they were going to work out.
You never know if any coach is going to work out, though.
I knew this would happen after Eberflus was fired, it would have happened a year ago if the Bears were smart.
I loved Johnson and he was more worried building his future coaching staff the last week instead of getting his offense ready. I hope every time he comes to detriot he gets treated much worse then Stafford.
I don't really see Ben Johnson as a motivator, so he's going to have to have the right coordinators to make this work.
The last year's with rams ypi saw those interceptions that were so costly and mcvee took goeff to the superbowl. Don't thing ben did better. He did well but not sure about better.
Ben "they're basketball guys" Johnson after rejecting the team to wind up losing to that same team to now go to the Bears😂
Chicago hasn't been this excited about a Johnson since Dick Butkus was playing in the middle. 🙂
Does surviving the Eberflus implosion count as a comeback?
shhhhh.... the caleb haters still think he's trash...... let them enjoy the offseason before the next level of Caleb torches the league....
This is the best day of my life as a bears fan
LFG this is what we desperately needed. We are shooting for the stars rather than settling for mid
Long suffering Bears fan here…I’m optimistic. At least it wasn’t McCarthy.
Until ownership changes, I certainly wouldn’t expect the results to change. 🤷♂️
You won’t be for long. Long standing Lions fan here who will tell you this guys no head coach. Not even close. You’ll see he’s nothing more than a decent coordinator
Remember when the Broncos won the coaching lottery with McDaniels? Good memories, right? 🤣
@mikelboyd711 yeah, that too.
Congrats Bears, but it can also be a Kliff Kingsbury situation.
During their big losing streak, the Bears had 4-5 very winnable games, that A GOOD COACH could have easily won. A GREAT COACH would have been worth another 1-2 games. There’s not a lot of mopping up to do as far as talent.
So in three years he will lead them to the #1 pick and then they'll fire him after the QBs rookie season.
I wish we could have did this last year!
Caleb Williams served humble pie early. The guy who went after him is playing in the NFC Championship game. Were the Redskins that much better than the Bears?
Ye obviously they were a lot better since their team is in the championship game and the bears had 5 wins
We are so happy. This is THE guy to get, if we fail with Ben then we will cease to exist
Don’t forget about the Wayne Fontes coaching tree
