2002 vs the Steelers, Drew Bledsoe saved the day. The Troy Brown pitch on a return. Always great to beat the Steelers and right after the Raiders game.
Edelman is an unexpectedly good interviewer. Every time Patricia mentions something mildly interesting, Edelman immediately follows up asking for specifics. Really great stuff
Great observation. It’s because he’s genuinely interested in what the interviewee is saying and the key to being a good interviewer is to ask questions, but people forget to listenZ it’s not an interview it’s a conversation. As you said, he’s SO good at it
Patricia is a solid dude! When I was a junior in HS we played our state finals game at Gillette and practiced in the Pats practice field. Patricia came in cause he knew one of our coaches and gave us a great speech and just boosted the overall attitude of us. Will never forget that
Hahaha I remember my sons playing against some of those Boston teams. Hyde park, Everette, East Boston. Hyde park ran that same RPO in every age group from D squad pop warner to high school varsity and even a team of middle sized white kids from Franklin could sniff it out and beat them. But those East Boston and Everett teams were just so good and BIG and talented. At the youth level Everett just recruited from all around the city and would assemble a team that would represent the north east in Disney every single year. My middle son played a south Boston team in 8th grade….”A”squad/ unlimited. They were a team of kids and families who didn’t have the means to travel. Their field was at the housing project that they all lived at. They were a team of some of the biggest and fastest 8th graders I’ve ever seen in my life. They beat the bag out of us!😂! But my son hit their best player on a solo tackle and knocked him out of the game for a few minutes and then my son caught a long pass on that same kid and scored our only touchdown in the game. I got elected to go over to their sideline and do the book. If you’ve ever been involved with youth football. You know what “the book” is. Keeping track of MPR and such. But none of the white yuppie liberal parents in Franklin would go over to their sidelines because they were scared😂😂. I remember grabbing the clipboard and the book and shaking my head at the other parents in disbelief at how ridiculous the reaction was. Most of those football teams that are all city boys are usually tough kids.

Jules, you do a really good job of getting these football junkies out of their shells and making them relax. You can tell Matty P is so used to having his guard up, and at some point he realizes he can have fun here. Really was human with his story of how he got into coaching. Good stuff
