- I took the airplane commercial checkride today, so here's my story. Sorry I don't have any video or pictures from the actual check ride but I opted to promptly record my thoughts while the story is still fresh in my mind.
Excellent job sir and congradulations on the commercial certificate
I saw you on the ground at the airport and thought it was you! Congratulations! BH is the man.
All check rides in are longer in Mooneys. It's not everyday that the DPE gets to ride in such an awesome machine. Take your next check ride in a Cessna and he'll want to be out of there in 30 minutes flat!
Congrats, Your channel is the one that got me into flying.
Congratulations “Mooney Mike”!!
Thanks "Former Mooney Brett" ;P
Congratulations! Hope to do the same next year.
Congratulations on your commercial rating!
Congrats on you Commercial!! Love all your videos..Was Byron your DPE at SMQ?
Congrats!!!!!
I hope you are trying to become an instructor... if is so I’ll try my best to fly with you. I’m a rusty pilot and you have been one of the people that encourage me to get back, I am currently training. In KTTA, I’m in NC. God bless you Michael
Eh, maybe some day.
Thank you Michael, I'll be flying with you one day.
congrats!
Interesting info Mike, and good job!
BTW, did you remember to get your Cirrus vaccination this Winter? ; )
When I took my private checkride I was told that if I failed in any area all I would need to do is to retest in the failed area. I didn't need to take the whole checkride over. I did pass the first time so I never found out if that was true or not. Is that different from the commercial checkride?
It's the same.
Welcome to the "club" Mike.
Pete G
Do you still take your Mooney to Robbinsville?
Sometimes.
Congratulations Mike! I fly a Mooney too! Perhaps we can have lunch sometime.
Earl.
If you're in the NJ vicinity, let me know and I'll get you on our secret Mooney lunch list.
@@Mooney201er I'm close, I fly out of KESN. My sister lives in Passaic NJ
Congrats in getting your poer commercial. Being a glider pilot you might enjoy a little story of the time I was doing a Glider CFI renewal with a new hire at the FAA office in Denver and they wanted me to check him out in higher performance gliders. He was an ex-Navy figher pilot who aged out and looked at gliders as toys. Go to my website www.jimforeman.com and look under the Flying tab for Short Flying Tales. BTW, I've been above 30,000 feet in a glider over 200 times.
Just read your story about landing on a farm and the mule ride. Loved it, especially about the scotch at the end. I guess that after enjoying the good scotch there was nothing better to hang around for.
Congratulations, what is that you are try to accomplish?
I don't know. Like I said, I just realized I met all the requirements over the years so I might as well take it. It only gets more and more expensive to add on ratings over the years.
