I am asshole deep in the renovation of a 1994 Quadrunner 250. Mechanically looks exactly like yours. I wish I would have seen your video before I started. Mine was much more severely cracked than yours. I used the same hardware fabric but cut it in little squares and melted them into the underside with a heat gun. I don’t plan on having anyone step on my fender so didn’t opt for the support. I painted it camouflage to hide the repairs. I put the back plastic and rack on yesterday, still wiring the fog lights and winch before putting the front end back on. Back in 1986 the first year these came out, my roommate and I had matching LT-250’s. LOVE these things and looking forward to riding mine for the first time as soon as I replace the fuel pump which is supposed to be here Monday. Thanks for the video...
I have a 2002 KQ 300..397 miles mint cond..everything is original except the battery, starts everytime without fail.. This thing is bullet proof..Great vid..Thanks.
I have a 280 King Quad that looks just like that one probably around the same year but has been outside most of it's life. I have a newer 300 maybe 1999 ish my dad gave me and I traded some work on my buddy's truck and he gave me a 2001 300 that has always been garaged. Love these quads. I'm looking to add a winch and plow to my newest one. I'm done shoveling snow!
Impressive repair job, best I've seen yet! I just picked up a 96' and have lotsa cracks on both sides of rear fenders. No cracks front half of plastic.
Dude! I just bought a 1987 Quad Runner (basically same machine) only had 500 miles on it! One week in and I smashed the rear fender and put a crack just like yours.
I just picked up an Arctic Cat 300 4×4 it a 2002 almost the same bike very little different in looks but same drive train picked it up for $2200 and its in about the same shape came with the windshield.Im very happy with it. It's a tough little wheeler runs and drives great and what I like best no computer shit on it because u no that stuff always brakes.New bikes have nothing but problems with the computer's going wacky on them after only a few short years...
100% agree. The 300 Arctic Cat is super nice! I love how it has a true independent rear suspension with A-Arms, rather than the "sway arms" that the Suzuki has... Always looks like it's taking a deuce when towing or carrying anything heavy.
I had a 94 King Quad 300 (actually 280) and a 04 Yamaha Grizzly 660. Between the two I'd rather have the King Quad again. Imo it's the best utility quad ever made !
@@andybassham2369 True, but it did low speed hi torque jobs, obstacle conquering and got through dense woods off trail better than a Grizzly ever could. It was capable of being much much quieter thanks to it's auotclutch and 15 speed transmissions. The Griz thanks to it's rubber band transmissions has to rev higher just to engage, making it very loud. I my experience, the only thing the Griz did better than the KQ was go fast and handle better at higher speed.
@@AimlessMoto How to Make Fiberglass Stick to Plastic | eHow Clean the bonding surface on both the fiberglass and the plastic using a microfiber cloth dampened with a solvent. Isopropyl alcohol, acetone or lighter fluid ... The way I do it it isn't messy, I put the mat on aluminum foil, pour the resin on it and spread it around, then I pick up the foil and put the fiberglass anywhere I want including upside down if it needs it. I then smooth over the foil with my hands. This next step is easy but requires timing. Just before it sets up all the way, about 10 min or so peel of the foil and the glass will be shiny smooth. Easy peasy and never a mess.
These were made from 1991 to 2001...I have a 97 and a 2001...The 97 is tougher...You should get at least 5000 miles from these regardless of how hard you ride
They might've been advanced for their day, but they were NOT the "BEST ATV EVER"! They were/are absolute junk! To date suzuki has never made anything reliable.
Bullshit , look up the fuel injected ltr 450r , it's one of the coolest and fastest sports quad out there. Makes my honda 450r and my raptor 700 feel cheap and slow.
yes these things are the best quad ever made!! Tanks that go anywhere and super reliable!!
Couldn't agree more!

Great video...how did you clean it up?
Keep up the good work. I just got a 95 king quad and most of what you did.
Hows the new exhaust was it unnecessarily loud?
Not at all... sounds a bit like a 2 stroke when you really get on it. No louder than stock really.
Got the same bike, 340 miles, bought it brand new. Just drug it out and got it going again, mint condition!
i got a suzuki king quad over a year ago for like $800, didn't run at the time but the fix was really easy
Good job on those fixes.
Wheredid you find the muffler and what part number please, mine is in pretty bad shape.
Ebay has them for 260-ish, they're called KIMPEX.
Hey I’m about to go pick up a 87 kingquad 300 for $500, anything I should look for to see if it’s a good four wheeler ?
Super video and easy to do. Great repair job.
KNOW WHERE WE CAN GET A USED GOOD FRONT FENDER ( BLUE) FOR A 1995 SUZUCKI KING QUAD 300 ( JUT LIKE YOURS) ??
They are impossible to find, you would have to go on e-bay and keep an eye out.
Oh STOP, lol. Nice work
Did you check the compression and if so what was it?
150psi

Shit I wouldnt trade my 02 Grizzly 660 for 5 King Quad 300's. Good bikes for their period, but all the weight is in the ass.

I got a 2001 kingqaud 300
You are VERY intelligent... Good work!!👍🏻👍🏻
I'm trying to get a mint 250 quadrunner for 230
Got 94 king quad only cost me 700 with the exact same crack in rear and exhaust
Same
I would have just put a couple layers of fiberglass mat.
Nah, that's a ton of mess and it never sticks to the plastic.

where can I find parts for mine
Most suzuki dealers can get OEM parts... they're basically the same from 1989-2002 other than the body which changed in 1999 or 2000.
A buddy just gave me a 94... not as clean, but the price was right...free! needs a carb rebuild, battery, tires, and some plastic repair.
Get that thing running right and it'll last forever!
