Kitano Tenmangu shrine and swords [Deep Japan] Kyoto Nippon Festival 北野天満宮

The Last Samurai visits Kitano Tenmangu shrine in Kyoto and introduces its large collection of Japanese swords and its beautiful maple garden. Kyoto Nippon Festival is held at Kitanotenmangu and you can enjoy the collaboration with Touken Ranbu, a video game. You can also see the flower arrangement by Ikenoboys, the flower arrangement idle group.
Kyoto was the walled city in the 17th century. And the promenade of Momijien, the maple garden is made on the wall made by Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

Early December is best season to visit. Because all the maple leaves turn red.
