I replaced this plus the third and fourth gear pressure switches, it stopped the flashing green D light and the shifting is immediately noticeably smoother. Thank you!
Just in time, my son’s TL was hard to start 2 days ago, the battery and starter are relatively new-I will use the “jiggle” method to check it out next time it happens. I have found that most items on the TL are easy fixes since they are engineered so well. Excellent video crammed full of useful info, especially the installation tips, thanks for posting it.

Had a similar problem with optima , it didn’t start … after trying everything I shifted the dear and it was solved for couple days. Later I found the switch underneath battery and it was rusty. I just cleaned it and it is still working after years .
Does the vehicle need to be in neutral after disconnecting the neutral safety switch or can you leave it in park when replacing with new one? I have my car in park & now it’s not responding after disconnecting the old one.
@CarsNToys I have already replaced the neutral safety switch twice. I am getting the same code P0705 again. It was driving fine after replacing over a month ago. Though now, I am getting a blinking flashing D on the dash, sometimes it will not reverse, and key gets stuck in the ignition. I also, notice a weird noise coming from the gear box, and hard shift from time to time. I am getting the check transmission light, so think it could be something more serious. I plan on taking it to a transmission shop tomorrow morning. 😢

Occasionally had problems in the past where it would not start in park, so i shifted into neutral, and would start right up. This was the safety neutral switch. Never replaced it. Issue goes away. Now the new problem came. Hopefully this safety neutral switch is the problem.
My wife has a 2007 Acura mdx that has been having the check starting system error code thrown every once in a while. I have now replaced the starter, solenoid, and ignition starter switch. But it still throws the code. I found out after putting it in neutral and back it starts right up when the code is thrown. This seems like the issue.
My D blinks/ flashes occasionally. Tried scanning and didn't record any fault codes. So, I decided to have the car scanned when the D was flashing without putting off the engine and the code error is P0706. Everywhere I have read about the flashing D no one every mentioned this error code. Meanwhile, the Honda Pilot 2006 drives perfectly and shift into gears smoothly. Please, someone help, what do I do to fix the D flashing issue. Hope to hear from someone soon. Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately our Honda Civic is a Hybrid. Try finding a DIY on that Neutral Safety Switch! LOL Supposedly, it's on the TOP of the transmission and there's hardly any information or help anywhere on the internet for it. FYI (2013 Honda Civic Hybrid)
Maybe because 'neutral' means the transmission is not engaged like it would be in Park or the other gears. Don't want to change parts when there's force active in the system.
Easy fix, but should not fail anyway, plastic garbage. I have a 89 buick 50k and love it, it's made of steel and aluminum, with glass head lights, 2.5L iron duke timing gear.
On my 08 TLS auto, I can start fine but I can't shift out of park after starting, I have to wait a minute or so than I can shift out of park to drive. Is this one of the issue? I got the part for it and the 3rd and 4th pressure switch, just need find time to replace these parts out to see if it's the issue.
It's not the pressure switches, remove the gear shifter out n clean around n spray grease around the inside mechanism n the spring solenoid. the spring solenoid is your issue for not shifting out of park. grease it good n put back, issue is fix.
@@Koua.L what my car does it start up and I put it in Drive and doesnt move foward and I give it gas and struggles moving foward, U think that would this method will help?
If u can shift into all gears than it's not your spring solenoid. U could try changing out the transmission gear range switch, it's under the battery. watch youtube video on how to change it out.
hahaha...lolololo...I forgot this video is about gear range switch! but 04-06 TL, the switch is under the wheel, like this one but 07-08 base or type s switch is under the battery.

Which wheel well is this? Drivers side or passenger side? I looked at my 07 Odyssey and I didn't see it on the driver side.

This happened to me this morning. I manual moved the shift nobe then put it back in park then car started right up
