I really appreciate the space in the rear seats of the Superb! My only gripe with the car is I wish it was quieter inside. There is too much wind/road noise.
The ice scraper should be inside the fuel flap
I've owned a 2016 superb 280 L&K for about a year. Really happy with the overall package... It's a bit of a straight line sleeper 👌🏼
We bought a 2019 L&K 272 Hp petrol. Freaking amazing car that is. Fast, fun safe and proper.
Beautiful car and elegant.
The only thing i would say i would go for the Sportline trim
I love the way she said "large".
The Škoda Superb Hybrid should have at least an 1.8 TSI.
Always prefer estate over SUV, but I'm not convinced about the 1.4L turbo petrol engine. I'd be happy to have a 2.0L version.
I notice that starting price of new Superb is 10000 euros more than 18 months ago!!!
And i have strong feeling that something is shady in car industry in general with those huge prices and that has nothing to do with war in Ukraine or chip shortages.
You're right. When the mk3 first got released in UK in 2015 the base price was under £20k, now over £30k. Still a lot of car for the money right enough.
That's just capitalism, it sucks.

@@kristoffer3000 Capitalism is over and we are back to feudal days, won't be long before £30k for a base Fabia, the elderly are now selling off their assets to the wealthy (who rent them back to the elderly's children) meanwhile the same elderly who have sold them are trying to help with the cost of living that their children are suffering.
No point in having savings either while the government are printing money.

I think it kinda makes sense tho. At this stage cars of the same class are so similar, you don't really get truly awful cars or truly amazing ones. Even the worst cars in production today are so much closer to the best cars out there than ever before.

@@CodSmashingPasty im not saying that the Skoda is the nicest or most desirable but for the money and what you get is hard to beat for example a equivalent mercedes C class or 3 series touring will still cost more

@Drone Tours I agree, but your original statement was a little bold. Although well engineered, I feel skodas lack aspiration, very much a fleet vehicle. NPC cars.
Must say, I do have a soft spot for the older gen Ocatvia vrs estate but they didn't come with a powerful enough engine to be desirable.
Looks a lot like my VW sportwagen here in the states. I like it.

48 Grand for a Skoda, God damn... Not Skodas issue itself but cars have become so insanely expensive.
If you save 500 pounds a month that's 48000 / 500 = 96 / 12 = 8 years of savings. And it's a "value for money" car.
The only thing I can demand is reliability. For me, the rest of it is fabulous

Great looking estate but like most cars vastly overpriced. Only Dacia are offering any value, everybody else has now gone premium and I think we will see casualties in the future as more manufacturers leave the small affordable segment.

I'm sad the battery takes so much cargo space, when BEV's get a huge battery in their floors and you only notice it under the foot wells.
This car is one of my prime suspects. Engines are boring, but it's such a big surplus to the next better car. The newer E-Class is far superior in terms of driver aids. More space between the rear wheels as well. Only Renault Talisman does better, the Skoda is mediocre. Just narrow, but somehow offers many liters.
Styling to impress your grandfather, if they could only fix that...
Soon they're going to make it a full EV, right? Same platform as announced for ID.7?
I'm curious whether the packaging will be at 2012 Model S levels. They could do a RWD one with large frunk. It's now FWD, so why not?

I'd watch this programme if they changed all the presenters.
I was driving my belovet VW Passat R36 with its low frond bumper towards the bank to widdraw all my cash, when a new Octavia with road presentation zoomed past me and accidentally crushed a pair of vise grips on the road. Despite the minor incident, I continued on my journey, enjoying the scenic views and the feeling of the wind in my hair.

It's as though skodas were designed by VW to be ugly to not interfere with their own cars. I know they are reliable, good to drive and cheap to run but I'd never buy/lease/cc one.

I can't help but be dubious about how they score these cars,
The only person on 5th gear who was honest and fair on car scores was Jonny.
Pretty sure they scored the car not the trim version. Much cheaper in standard trim.
