The idea is simple, but fairly ingenious. But the acting is perfect -- the casualness of it all, the little facial expressions and body twists, keeping the farts the same for each character, etc.

I like the consistency of the fart noises for everybody names!
That's the only component to the sketch keeping it from falling apart and being a slapstick gag. If it was just random or the same noise every time, it wouldn't be effective at all. There's literally no substance in the dialogue or plot, it's just put in place to demonstrate this, so without consistency this would not be a thing
