  • It's crucial to follow the right instructions after a hair transplant procedure to promote optimal recovery and reduce the chance of complications. The process of recovering requires getting enough rest and sleep. The following advice will assist you in sleeping after a hair transplant:
    1. Avoid resting flat on your back or stomach for the first few nights after surgery by sleeping in a semi-upright position instead. Instead, try to sleep with your head raised using pillows or by moving the bed, in a semi-upright position. This will stop the freshly transplanted hair follicles from rubbing against your pillow and will help to lessen swelling and pain.
    2. Use the a travel pillow: To support your head and neck as you sleep and prevent pressure points on your scalp, use a travel cushion "V Neck". While sleeping in a semi-upright position, a travel pillow might assist you in maintaining a comfortable position.
    3. Avoid touching or scratching your scalp since it could be sensitive and itchy after a hair transplant. Avoid rubbing or scratching the scalp, though, since this might harm newly transplanted hair follicles and delay healing.
    4. Use cold compresses to your forehead and the area around your eyes to assist minimise swelling and pain. This will make it simpler for you to fall asleep.
    5. Take painkillers as directed: If your doctor has given painkillers, be sure to take them as directed before retiring for the night. This will help you control any discomfort or soreness and enhance the quality of your sleep.
Keep in mind to stick to your doctor's post-operative care and recovery instructions, including recommended sleeping positions and medication administration. See your doctor right away if you encounter any unexpected symptoms, such as excruciating pain or bleeding.

Is the travel neck pillow to avoid back of the head touching anywhere or prevent us from turning in bed?
I want something to avoid turning in bed?

It’s to make your neck spine comfortable, to prevent swelling & to prevent involuntary turning during sleep, gives you comfortable sleep which is very important for recovery after hair transplant also it helps keeping away your donor area from unnecessary contact.

Losing some hair with scabs after a hair transplant on the 7th day is normal. It's part of the healing process, so there's no need for concern.

Feeling a burning sensation in the donor area on the 11th day after a hair transplant can be normal as the skin heals. However, if it's severe and affecting sleep, it's best to consult your doctor for advice.

You can typically undergo your first PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatment about 1 to 2 months after a hair transplant surgery, once the initial healing process is well underway. However, it's essential to consult with your surgeon for personalized advice based on your specific case.

You can use disposable sheet, otherwise it's best to follow your surgeon's specific post-operative instructions.

After applying the ointment, you have to sleep on the sheets that is provided you in the postcare kit.
You need to consult your nearby dermatologists and follow their advice.
