    After 3 months of using Minoxidil, I note an increase in hair growth and thickness on the top of my head, but no change to the crown area, which is still bald.

      Hi Scott, I am 20 and balding I have done a lot of research on how to prevent balding and regrow hair Here are my two Cents. Your growth agents would be Rosemarie oil mixed with castor oil that is similar to 2% minoxidil and it’s a natural remedy. Then there is normally 5% minoxidil. The main side effects would be blood thinning but if you take the topical form the side effects are very minimal then to prevent hair loss it would be something called finastiride , and then to possibly regrow dead hair cells, (which you normally cannot grow that hair back if you are bald in the crown area for more than seven years) would be to take some thing called a derma roller and roll on your crown or any bald or thinning spots on your head that you have then apply rosemary oil mixed with castor oil morning and night, and right after you apply the rosemary oil and castor oil You would apply minoxidil and then normally once a day and you would also apply finastiride it doesn’t really matter when you apply it I’d just be careful with finastiride and look up the side affects they can range for each person. That would be your best bet on possibly re-growing your bald head

    I have been using Minoxidil since August 2020. Here in Australia we have Regaine which I suspect is the Australian version of Rogaine. I discovered my hairloss when I decided to cut my own hair during the lockdown and using two mirrors. I can confirm that it does work but not in those before and after images. After 3 years I still have a small bald spot which is about an inch in diameter but only the past month I've noticed that the translucent hairs in that area are starting to grow black. So I technically have a full head of hair but from a distance you cannot see those baby hairs in that small 'bald patch'. Perseverance is key guys, don't give up so soon.

      So you can confirm that minoxidil still continued to have some new effects (meaning growing new hairs, or thickening translucent hairs) after 2 or 3 years of use? It did not plateau after one year?

    • @jonnyronnyguy
      @jonnyronnyguy 3 місяці тому

      @@TMBTM Hi there. Thank you for your reply. I can confirm that it still works... to an extent. I have seen improvement in the past year but it seems like the smaller the bald patch becomes the slower the progress. Technically it is now a full head of hair since the 'bald patch' is filled in, but with small vellous hairs. But to me the biggest surprise is that the existing hairs around the crown started growing again to the point that I can tie it into a manbun if I go swimming or any activities where my hair can get in contact with things. So in short there has been progress but it has definitely been slow haha. Hope this helped.

      @@prashantmorade4190 All good. Sorry for the late response. Definitely is a slow process but just keep doing it. I’m a 36 year old woman. I have bleached blonde, fine hair. I’ve been using minoxidil for about 6 months now, I also started taking nutrafol (it’s a hair pill, and I totally recommend it. It has other stuff in it which actually improved my mood so much I stopped taking antidepressants that I had been on for 6 month) I can’t believe the overall thickness of my hair. I highly recommend staring minoxidil! My hair is 3 times thicker. Oh and the whole thing about your hair shedding at first is VERY true. I brush my hair so softly, so delicately and it was still coming out like crazy. However that stopped after a short time

This shampoo is sulfate-free but it foams up nicely, with just a small amount needed to thoroughly clean your scalp. It has a pleasant scent and adds a healthy shine to your hair. Strongly recommended for people who are looking for hair fall control.

    There is no cure for hair loss because it's not an illness remember that you are fighting against you genes!. personally I used Minoxidil first when I noticed that my temples were receding but it didn't work for me. I think it just got worst because I have oily hair and dandruff and when I applied it to my scalp I noticed more dandruff more oily hair and therefore more hairloss. I've been only on finasteride for about 3 years now and it definitely stop my hairloss, i couldn't regrowth my temples but overall I have a good density on the back and crown area. Also it's curious because I was also having hairloss on the sides of the head and I have low density in that area, does anyone have experience this too? After the second year it stopped the hairloss on the sides and my temples are pretty much the same. Honestly I didn't go to see a doctor i just did my research on internet and I started to take the standard dose Which is 1 mg per day ( here in Mexico you can buy finasteride without prescription and it's really cheap, about $12 dollars if you buy the 5 mg package). Hopefully I can get a hair transplant just need the money tho :'(

    Hello Doctor is coconut oil and castor oil with olive oil good for hair growth?

    • @MEDSimplified

      There is no good evidence that any type of oil cause hair growth in Androgenic alopecia, which is genetic balding in men. However, hairfall in females or other types of hairfall due to the dryness of the scalp can benefit from these oils. They are 👍 good

  • @Easygram
    @Easygram 2 роки тому +4

    Short and sweet
    Does minoxidil (LONOLOX) increase hair loss after stopping? Minoxidil (LONOLOX) almost always leads to increased, reversible hair growth (cf. a-t 6 [1988], 53, 10 [1988], 90 and 92). According to the observations of British clinicians, discontinuation of topical and oral minoxidil appears to promote hair loss that may exceed baseline levels. They describe a woman with no hair problems who developed massive facial hair after treating her severe high blood pressure with minoxidil tablets. She had to shave every 2-3 days. After discontinuation because of gastrointestinal disturbances, the hair on the head and eyebrows disappeared in addition to the beard. The patient required a wig. After taking it again, hair growth started again. There have been multiple reports of incipient balding in men whose hair density thinned below baseline after stopping topical minoxidil - an effect that was interpreted as the progression of natural male pattern baldness. The authors, on the other hand, consider minoxidil to be the possible trigger and assume a direct, gender-independent effect of minoxidil on the hair follicle, which could result in the growth of the follicle being dependent on minoxidil (KIDWAI, B.J., M. GEORGE: Lancet 340 [1992], 609).

      It is not tolerance, instead the rate of hairloss you naturally have, overrides the rate at which minoxidil is preserving hair strands.
      Hairloss is due to DHT hormone attacking hair follicles, finasteride(drug) blocks DHT formation,therefore decreasing hairloss.
      (note minoxidil does not actually help in decreasing hair loss ,it increases blood supply to the hair strands and thus thickens and increases baby hairs ,providing an improved look.)
