To be fair, he was a MAJOR villain for Peter! At least for the first few years or so. Fun fact: Eddie was supposed to DIE in Amazing Spider-Man #400 (Aunt May died instead. They should have kept that story.), but Marvel nixed it because he was so popular. I guess that they were right.

Spider-Man needs a new symbiote suit or something or a new symbiote out there needs help and Eddie sends him Peter's way since he trusts him. Something that could just be awesome.
I could see a story about a nascent symbiote being naturally spawned, and Eddie, knowing how poorly that has gone in the past, asking Pete to teach it goodwill and heroics. Would be touching, but I wouldn't see it lasting long. Honestly, as metal as this all was, I miss Agent Venom a lot. Flash is the best Venom, hands down. T'was also one of the few times I cared about Guardians of the Galaxy.

While the assbeating of knull was satisfying? My favorite moment eddie had was at the codex extraction machine. 'ten minutes? I can pretend to be a hero for ten minutes' as he goes out to die protecting his son from the devil carnage had become. That one moment. That one scene shower just how far eddie had come and how much he had grown past the character who was nothing but petty hate for spiderman. That is my favorite panel. But eddie opening a keg of asswhip on knull is a close second!

My heart wrenched every time the Symbiote displayed its love and compassion for Eddie, such as when we thought it died the first time they faced Knull's avatar with its last words being something like "Love you, Eddie." Or when just last issue it reassured Eddie that it would always find him no matter how many times they would be separated. Gaaaahhh... and now I'm having a bittersweet feeling realizing that after three years, this amazing series will be coming to an end.
Sentry is a underused character. He's just used as a plot device most of the times. We need a writer to explore Sentry as a character along with his powers. He's a character with lot of potential
Thor just cant catch a break if this were a dc comic they would have found a way to make superman play a vital role in defeating the big bad even if it wasn't his comic they actually respect supes, thor is more of a side character now
Donny cares sucks big time when it comes to events, all he has is sudden power ups without any precedence and just fight after fight. Even DBZ had a better buildup than this. The only Donny Cates works i like are thanos wins, and venom before absolute carnage. Everything apart from that breaks years of continuity.

So god venom is many times stronger than the Void and Celestials? Even so, Knull shouldnt die/be incapacitated by being thrown into the sun.. that doesnt make sense given what powers/abilities he can easily can tank from other entities (and the Void even tried killing itself by flying into the sun without success).

I feel like the axe that Venom used should be given a name considering how badass it is. I mean it’s made up of Mjolnir, the Silver Surfer’s board, and the Enigma Force! I suggest “The All Bright” as all the components are related to light (hammer of lightning, cosmic surfboard, and god of light) and it mirrors “The All Black” (similar name but it’s components are darkness).

No idea why rob is so excited, this issue was terrible lol. All that build up for CAPTAIN UNIVERSE to beat knull immediately in a one sided fight where he doesnt land a single hit. And now Dylan lost the ONE thing that made his character interesting at all lol. Very underwhelming, but typical donny cates finish.
I personally dislike this storyline along with the ending, Donny Cates goes from 0 to 100 then 100 to 1000 and it gets boring, He's good at hyping thing's up but he's not good at delivering it, I give this entire storyline a 6/10 could of been much better and the way Knull went out was in my opinion poorly done hyped him up to be this God of the abyss that's unkillable(Cates contradicted his own writing several times in this storyline) only for him to run away like a coward and get tossed into the Sun.

Venom turned Knull into spent popcorn. That was incredible. My question, where the hell does Venom go from here? Who can beat him, even without the Enigma Force? It puts Venom on the map as beyond omega, which is great and a problem.

i'd say this version of venom might just blow that venom the end version out of the water in terms of shear power in terms of feats, cuz i am pretty sure we have seen multiple character create or clone universes, but the stuff venom did to knull and making his battleaxe, pretty damn sure those are a first
I enjoyed Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and his Other. This is an awesome conclusion to that story. I’d love to see 10 venom movies culminating in this story.

Easily THE best Venom runs ever, Donny Cates has transcended this character and I absolutely love it. Venom was my first favourite Marvel character as a child and I’m loving all the love and attention he’s gained thanks to Cate’s awesome writing. Sad this is the end but so damn glad it happened, cos man what a ride !

The best story since the Infinity Gauntlet that marvel has done. BUT... I want a POST KIB. I want to see how everything recovers. I don't want happy sunshine and rainbows the next day. I want to see the recovery of earth cause lets face it. Earth and the people involved are fucked up! So if you go back to Absolute Carnage. They say everyone that has ever been bonded to a symbiote has a piece of said symbiote within them. I really hope somewhere down the line that is talked about. I don't want to just assume when they lost the symbiote EVERYTHING was taken from them. I hate when they just retcon an important part of a story like that.
I agree I honestly rolled my eyes at the cosmic battle axe, Cates for me has pacing issues, he just keeps ramping stuff up to the max and it kinda gets like underwhelming because it happens so often.

This King in black was not a great story. All farter Thor, worthless, no Blue Marvel anywhere, street level anti hero is now the most powerful being on earth. The enigma force also magnifies the power level of the person it combines with so why not combine with Thor? If Knull is so powerful he can defeat celestials with ease rip Sentry in half and for some reason Sentry can not put himself back together like he did fighting the Molecule man, then even with venom being captain universe, he should not be able to delete knull. This story was just full of inconsistencies.

I read it more as the power of this Captain Universe at its full potential within Eddie Brock was already killing Knull. The sun just added on to the attack/was possibly amped by the enigma force. Remember last issue, when they said the enigma force was “solved” Supposedly this means Eddie was the only host to completely bring out this powers full potential. No other host could do it

No idea why rob is so excited, this issue was terrible lol. All that build up for CAPTAIN UNIVERSE to beat knull immediately in a one sided fight where he doesnt land a single hit. And now Dylan lost the ONE thing that made his character interesting at all lol. Very underwhelming, but typical donny cates finish.
I personally dislike this storyline along with the ending, Donny Cates goes from 0 to 100 then 100 to 1000 and it gets boring, He's good at hyping thing's up but he's not good at delivering it, I give this entire storyline a 6/10 could of been much better and the way Knull went out was in my opinion poorly done hyped him up to be this God of the abyss that's unkillable(Cates contradicted his own writing several times in this storyline) only for him to run away like a coward and get tossed into the Sun.

Yet Eddie gets this plot armor power boost and just one shots knull like. Is this guy not immortal? Didn't this guy take sun's from silver surfer...we didn't even see knulk use the void to the full extent. We aint see him fight all the avengers at once including Eddie. That would've been 10x better with him fighting and using all his abilities to win.. we didn't see any of that.. knull gets one shot and thrown in the sun.. weakest stories imo

i'd say this version of venom might just blow that venom the end version out of the water in terms of shear power in terms of feats, cuz i am pretty sure we have seen multiple character create or clone universes, but the stuff venom did to knull and making his battleaxe, pretty damn sure those are a first

Easily THE best Venom runs ever, Donny Cates has transcended this character and I absolutely love it. Venom was my first favourite Marvel character as a child and I’m loving all the love and attention he’s gained thanks to Cate’s awesome writing.

Earth and the people involved are fucked up! So if you go back to Absolute Carnage. They say everyone that has ever been bonded to a symbiote has a piece of said symbiote within them.
I really hope somewhere down the line that is talked about. I don't want to just assume when they lost the symbiote EVERYTHING was taken from them. I hate when they just retcon an important part of a story like that.

I agree I honestly rolled my eyes at the cosmic battle axe, Cates for me has pacing issues, he just keeps ramping stuff up to the max and it kinda gets like underwhelming because it happens so often.

This King in black was not a great story. All farter Thor, worthless, no Blue Marvel anywhere, street level anti hero is now the most powerful being on earth. The enigma force also magnifies the power level of the person it combines with so why not combine with Thor? If Knull is so powerful he can defeat celestials with ease rip Sentry in half and for some reason Sentry can not put himself back together like he did fighting the Molecule man, then even with venom being captain universe, he should not be able to delete knull. This story was just full of inconsistencies.
